i get roughly 500rep pr hour. thne im not counting the different quests i turn in. and if the opposite faction summon ivus/lokholar (depends on ur faction) u get 125 bonus rep when that is killed (137 if ur human, cus of the 10% more rep). 500 rep pr hour, would be 24 hors gaming from honored 2 revered without any sorts of delivering. good luck;)

This is such a grindfest for the alliance. Horde always win on the server. Once you hit honored, it's a complete annoyance to grind to revered and revered to exalted makes you want to commit suicide.

You might like the idea of getting to buy this and lobotomizer for cheap with rep, but unless you're horde (other dagger obviously) - Forgot it. Just hook up with a decent guild.

For what it's worth, it's a great blue dagger. Ambush dagger all the way.

No Lie I havent Lost in Alterac Valley yet Ima 58 hunter an im already honored almsot revered I won about 15times in a row i dont know if it is a string of good luck or if the allince owns vally.

ok im level 54 and im already revered with stormpike and it didnt even take that long i got it n a week on my server alliance like always wins so that can help but its actually pretty easy to build rep if u kno wat to do

This and the lobotimizer is a good duel set for the rouge recommend getting along with the Lobotomizer

Shanker is for PvP, Electrified is for raids (unless you want something that won't break Gouge, in which case go for Electrified anyway). However, if you've gotten enough rep to get the Electrified Dagger you might as well grind the rest of it to Exalted and get The Lobotomizer which blows Shanker out of the water anyway. Me personally, I'm up to Revered with Stormpike and going to get both the Electrified and Lobotomizer so I can use them for raiding and PvP respectively.

Edit: This and Lobotomizer aren't a good pairing simply because they both have 'Chance on hit' procs which are halved on the off-hand. So it's best just to go with passive stats (+agi, +sta, +crit, +hit etc.) for the off-hand and a passive enchantment to go with it.

As of patch 1.8, attack speed has no bearing on your primary special attacks (SS, Backstab, and Ambush). These all now use a "normalized" speed for attack power calculations. Daggers use 1.7, other 1h weapons use 2.4. So, for looking at which weapon will do the most main hand special attack damage, the sole determining factor is the damage range.

Look at the relevant stats:

Glacial
53 - 100 Damage
(42.5 damage per second)

Shanker
51 - 95 Damage
(36.5 damage per second)

So, not only does glacial have better dps it also damages more in ambush/backstab/ss. So yea, everyone above are basically wrong, because of the changes made to damage calculation.

Glacial is the better dagger (now) for pvp and pve.

This is wielded main hand and on its own (for testing)

So that's about an extra 1 or 2 damage per hit... pretty lame if you ask me
Still a nice dagger though

Its a bit lower dmg then Barmans since Barmans has 2.00 speed and it does more dmg with higher. but it dont have that dmg over time $%^& .

But elec is twice as good.

We horde get the Glacial dagger, you can use these weapons outside AV obviously ... and its not bad as a main hand till you get the lobotomizer ....

Nice Agility on it and with +15 Agility from the Rep quest (can't remembert where - our guild enchanter did the Reputation building to get it) you get a dagger with 25 attack power main hand.

I'm using Glacial Blade currently, very nice....

(althought not taking into account Agility and only using the damage equation, Barman shanker still is a better Main hand for damage bonus)

I can say this is a nice dagger with all it's means(10agi,45dmgproc) but i'd still go for the bonescraper over these as for offhand weapon, it has more AP(10agi=20AP) and the proc isn't that much dmg if ya think about max hp of players. And bonescraper is still faster what means a good poison applier cuz of it's fast speed. but for mainhand this dagger is nice until you get the lobotomizer which deals more dmg per hit and per proc. and then i would go bonescraper for off-hand and DE/sell this to a vendor.
