I am playing up a feral druid (cat spec) just to try it out, and PvP with it, and I'll say, its about one of the most delicious rings I have found for my build.

However, considering its rather "difficult" to aquire I'll stick to Band of the Ogreking.
Its not mainly for druids or other semi-melee classes. And in my book, that leaves Warriors and Rogues left to roll/bid on it. However, if, when I get my Druid to MC, all my guild rogues and warriors interested in this ring have it I'd roll/bid for it.

I don't know how a rogue can sleep easy at night if they insist that a Hunter shouldn't roll on this because of +5 strength, undoubtably most of you are the same rogues who would roll against a paladin for the aurastone hammer and try to explain why it's just as good for you even without the intellect and mana regeneration bonus on it, meanwhile you can take a negligible amount of strength and cite it as the reason someone shouldn't roll against you on something who's main stats are clearly godly and mutually usuable.

What ever happened to just hoping you win? Now everyone seems to think the item should just go to them no contest.

If you would use that argument, you don't deserve this ring.

In most good guild they use dkps, and you will only be allowed to roll on items that would make you better to the guildraids.
Well nice for a feral druid og pally for pvp, but druids and pallas are healers/cleansers in MC, so they would get stuff with +int +healing power etc, a pally with a crit ring is waste for a mc team!

Rogues and hunters are damage dealers and allways gets to use points on crit/attackpower first, because it's helps the whole team.
Also hunters need an insane amount of agi to get 1% crit, but they also have +150% crit damage, so a 1% crit ring is worth more to a hunter than a warrior.
For full Valor warrior with reaper (base dps on about 120) this ring will give 40ap/14 = 2,9dps + 120/100 = 4,1 dps extra (base w calculated crit)
For a hunter (full beaststalker, base dps on about 150 dps) 30ap/10 (14% quiver increase) 3dps+ 150/100*1,5 = 5,25 dps (base with calulated crit)

Anyway, warriors are tanks in MC and gets prority on Heavy Dark Iron ring, hunters and rogues gets prioity on Quickstrike ring.

(Please don't say that MS-fury warrs deal as much as hunters/rogues/mages in MC.. cuz they don't!)

This ring is a DKP spending ring, so if a physical damage class wants it, they should pay for it. Or else grind AV faction/UBRS for similar items: Don Julio and Painweaver.

The fact that is has "+5 Strength" doesn't make it a specific Warrior/Rogue item. Otherwise I can extend that logic to say "+5 agility" on Windseeker is a hunter item

+Strength = For people who do melee damage (Rogues/Warriors/DPS Shaman)
+Stamina = For people who take lots of damage. (Warriors/Rogues)
+Crit = For really anyone who wants more +crit. This can be any class.
+Attack Power = For melee/ranged attackers. (Warriors, Rogues, DPS Shaman, Hunter).

Hrm. Now what class will it benefit the most? The one that all the stats benefit, not just one or two.

Btw this is all up to the Guild Master but we can have opinions.

Strength benefits Warriors/Rogues/Feral Druids who primarily use bear form.

Stamina benefits everyone i mean come on who doesn't need a little more health!

Attack Power benefits Warriors/Rogues/All Feral Druids/Hunters.

Crit chance benefits Warriors/Rogues/Cat form Feral Druids/ Hunters yes I said hunters....

Btw Druids were made for their VERSITALITY the fact they can tank/dps/heal well not as good as the class spec'd on that but well enough for signifigance. Druids can adapt to situations...while in combat with the right gear.

Critadins can bud on this too i don't have pally so i guess its really up to ur guilds to decide :)

I think this would be best for a fury spec warrior, but great for rogues, and hunters also. All three of these classes deserve it equally.

The quick stike ring isn't as good to hunters as good as you think. If you have lightning reflexes spec you should be going for band of accuria and signet of the unseen path. They will benifit you more than quicck strike.

Just got mine, Im a rogue and spent 30 DKP on it. See unlike most of the comments on this pc, My guild did not give 2 #$%^s, nor would I have cared if I was outbid by A warrior/Pally or hunter. If your in a decent guild then you shouldent ever have to worry about getting insulted about Bidding on a item such as this (provided your a melee class). From what I can see most of the posters on this page are eather in a guild just starting to run MC and the majority of there guild is still in greens and blues (slow down guys dont worry you'll get a shot at it), Or (this is what I beleve is the major majority),that you havent ever done any endgame raiding (eather because your to low a LVL or cant find a guild in MC that want you)In which case you shouldent post anything on item you found while surfing Thottbot When you dont know $%^& about endgame raiding. ..DKP will decide. Besides that, Hunters-Rogues will benefit the most. If Hunters/Rogues got equal rings and pass, Fury warriors, Feral Druids and Enh Shamans are valid options too...

sweet ring nothing more to say about it really :)

Was highest in dkp over all the warriors and rogues in our raid so no one complained since that is a fair system(RL stil decides the classes so)

Went over what classes to my guild would be allowed to spend DKP on this, and it's been set as a Warrior/Rogue/Hunter item. Warriors use all stats as do hunters as do rogues, anyone saying anything else has no clue about the class. Find a good arguement to support why one of these classes shouldn't be able to get it and I'll give you a medal.

Ok.... Incase you didn't see the crit percentage and the +30 attack power this makes it a melee ring not just a warrior ring for some little 5 strength.

Why this would be a good hunter item too, (not just melee classes!):

this attack power does both ranged and melee if it doesn't specify one or the other, hence thats where the hunter aspect of it comes from.

This is a nice ring. I'm using the Painweaver Band and Blackstone Ring and probably wouldnt ask for this over a melee, but if none wanted it I would.

Our raid decided that Rogue/Hunter/Warrior rolls on this. No one have priority. Hunters may not use the STR but it's still awesome for a hunter :). We got it from Baron Geddon. I won and i'm a hunter. No hate from the rogues there. Atleast I hope so :)

shamans can roll,but it would be lame ass.
I know they use attk pwr and crit hance being enhancement.
However, they have very good ranged dmg also.(and they are cheapness)
So people who have to use close physical dmg w/o any other options would be nice.

Guys seriously the attack power and crit chance makes it an obvious choice for rogues and hunters. Can't see how anyone else should get this. The attack power goes for both ranged and meele you know. And the +8 sta +5 str is just too low for a warrior. And this sucks for pallys cause it got no int so pls just realise no guild will let this go to anyother then rogues and hunters. I'm a druid btw.

I won over a rogue last night on this ring *hunter*. No one in my guild had a problem with it, and the rogue didn't think it was a big deal on me rolling, because Hunters benefit from the AP, the crit%, and the stamina just like rogues do, and strength does increase melee attack power a little *although any smart hunter knows AGI and ranged is where its at...*

Back in original vanilla my guild gave this to a ret paladin and it caused so much drama that like four people left, and it was enough that the guild ended up falling apart. To this day my friend still refers to it as Guildstrike ring.
