Combine the Lorespinner with https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=35739 and you have some nice mana regen while casting. As it is, my 60 druid has around 5900 mana and regens about 13 or so per tick through talents during casting time. Outside of casting I regenerate about 62 mana per tick. So I'm looking forward to seeing the difference the combo will make (the stats i listed are with my normal staff, not this dagger). For longer instances like MC, I think I'd rather use my staff for the +30 int/+12 stamina and just have a Paladin give me Blessing of Wisdom. In fact, that's what I do :)

I got this dagger a week ago (i love it) anyway i was fighting ravasours in ungorro and when i fought a venomhide all of a sudden i got a buff icon for the dagger. i got a chance to poison the target on hit, it started with 11 charges, then i got it up to 14 while fighting other venomhides.

After Running Mara and never getting the dagger that Princess drops, finally ended up doing ST for the dagger as the quest reward. As I stumbled upon this dagger...I was pleasently surprised.

As for some other posts above:
-I think Priests can do better then this as the mana regen is not the best and they should not care about dps melee weapons
-A mage should never give up a +%crit gear for mana regen gear. Crits is what a mage is after. Howerver, a priest would want mana regen gear as having mana to heal is what makes they usefull

The staff may not be better at all. I'm a shammy with this dagger and gizlock shield (+10 intl, 5stm, rest 4mana/ 5sec). The 2 combined give me 16 intel, 10stm, 5sprit, 7mana/5sec and 37. dps with an extra 1835 armor.

If you had just the staff, you wouldnt get the armor buff and you would have about same intel, stm gains with 1mana/5 sec difference. As a caster you wouldnt be worried about the dps as much, but armor or a good intl offhanded item would do a lot more good than the DPS for Mage,shammy, priest, warlock, (i.e. casters).

Rogues: Equip it and let the added INT help you grind up your bow/crossbow/gun skills. Put that glowing skull you got as a quest reward earlier in the offhand with this and have more intellect than you've ever seen on your character. Ask a mage for arcane intellect and get confused looks, it's fun. Read one of those scrolls you always vend or trash. Increasing ranged weapon skill learn-rate... that about the only use for it. -.-

I was going to disenchant this, but it's worth 4.6.95 to a vendor, and Large Brilliant Shards are 2g at the AH. I guess I could vend it and just buy two shards if I feel I really need the shard.

A pity it doesn't actually look like its icon. I want to gouge people with my Pretty Unicorn Horn of Stabbing.

I got this yesterday and now i wear it with Julie's Dagger. For those of you who are wondering where this comes from on the Allaince side you get a quest in Feathermoon Stronghold called Leathandra's Web in which you must kill a boss and get a web and then you turn it in and then bada bing bada boom you got Lorespiner

Lorespinner is good, but you can get an item of similar or better quality much easier.

Just get the quest from the guy outside of the AV entrance in Alterac Mountains, and just win 1 game of AV. You will get the cold forged hammer as a reward, which has the same stam and mana regen, and 4 more int.

Just for priests, pally's, druids, and shamans, since mages and warlocks can't use maces :(

Got the quest a few days on my 54 undead female priest.

As soon as I dinged 54 I went to check - glad to see exlamation mark above npc ^^.

Will keep quest in quest book until I can do, don't dare abandon it:)

This is the reward for the quest "Lethtendris's Web" in Dire Maul. It is not listed when you accept the quest, only the money. I was quite surprised when I got it in addition to the cash, since it was an upgrade for my 58 troll priest. (The quest requires killing a boss in the western instance.)

i always thought my priest would be using a staff the entire time but this one is giving me second thoughts. With a good off-hand orb, i think this will rival many staves and has great speed and damage to help soloing. Can anyone give me some comparisons if they prefer this weapon to a staff?

I keep this because with that 6 mana every 5 seconds off-hand from another dm east quest reward, thats 9 mana every 5 seconds in the weapon slot which is the most i think that i can find off of a non-epic... Then you get a few demonic rings and a mindtap talisman, and the 4 mana every 5 seconds enchant, thats like 36 mana every 5 seconds

1) freaking easy for an elite quest
2) its blue
3) nice stats

5) dont fuss about it, its got a regen to it, just do the quest and keep it
