ya lost some major bear armor on the nerf... around 750 (i have thick hide right now).

this ring is barely better than the band of the tortoise (120 armor) u can get from a solo quest in tanaris... instead of the 10+ ppl it takes to finish this quest chain.

Then there is thralls resolve, which is easier AND better than this POS now.... sigh.

The "good" news... is that i didnt notice the armor loss so much with the new pvp cloak... not much consolation since there is a 200+ armor crafted cloak if you really want armor.

2 things:

-Sholmas is right, not Masukii. A 360% increase is armor x 4.6, not 3.6.

-Although only Horde can get Thrall's Resolve, only Alliance players can get Magni's Will, which is arguably more useful to a broader range of classes (rogues, warriors, hunters, critadins.)

Blizzard had stated the AC was to be nerfed and given additional stamina as compensation.

Somehow they correlate -150 AC with +3 Stamina...

This ring should have been given much more than that to compensate for the AC loss.

I'm gonna get this for my mage. My survivability while AoEing is awful in ZG. This would do a lot more for me than the ring of spell power I'm using atm.

If you are a druid, you can use the following checklist to obtain good items that give +armor (or that simply have good armor themselves)for bear form. I hope this list is useful. Keep in mind that even if you are Restoration specced, it is definitely worthwhile to get a seperate set that gives +armor.

1.The first item that you can get is the Band of the Great Tortoise. Obtain this ring by completing an easy quest in Tanaris (obtained in the Northern parts of the Thistleshrub Valley). It is called Tooga's Quest (find it on Thottbot for more information.
2.There are two leather armor sets that give a set bonus of +200 armor when only two of the set pieces are equiped. This is extremely useful in bear form. The sets are Shadowcraft and Wildheart. Get the Shadowcraft Tunic (drops from General Drakkisath in Upper Blackrock Spire) and the Shadowcraft Boots (drops from Rattlegore in Scholomance). Also get the Wildheart Gloves (random drop in Blackrock Spire-you may want to just buy it)and the Wildheart Bracers (also a random drop, but in Stratholme. Again, it may be easier to buy this instead of farming it). These four pieces will give a total of 400 additional armor (add that to the armor that the items themselves give).
3.To obtain a weapon that gives armor, do the Gordok Tribute in Zul'Gurub and get the Unyielding Maul.
4.Get the Cloak of Warding, which can be made with Leatherworking or bought. Get someone to put a +70 armor enchant on it.
5.Join or start a Lower Blackrock Spire group and kill Overlord Wyrmthalak. He will drop General Drakkisath's Command, a quest item. Click on it to begin a quest to kill General Drakkisath in Upper Blackrock Spire. As a quest reward for killing Drakkisath, you will get the Mark of Tyranny, an armor trinket.
6.Complete the long chain quest that leads to the Battle of Darrowshire quest in the Eastern Plaguelands (find the quest on Thottbot for more information). As a quest reward, you will be able to get your other armor ring-the Ring of Protection.
7. You will then need to kill High Priestess Jeklik in Zul'Gurub to get the Animist's Spaulders, which themselves have very high armor.
8.Kill Ayamiss the Hunter in Ahn'Quiraj to get the Helm of Regrowth.
9.Kill Bloodlord Mandokir in Zul'Gurub to get the Animist's Leggings.
10.Kill Quartermaster Zigris in Blackrock Spire to get the Cloudrunner Girdle.
11.Now, if you want to learn Enchanting, you can make the Smoking Heart of the Mountain (an armor trinket). You will have to be the one who made it in order to use it.

for casters this ring is uber in pvp. when you don't have much armor, adding a little bit can go a long way (you can easily get 5% more damage reduction from 500 more armor). with this ring, the AB cloth armor, and some ironweave, you can really annoy a rogue.
