The Radiant Armor set includes a breastplate, belt, boots, circlet, gloves, and leggings. Any blacksmith can learn these recipes, but the plans themselves are drop-only items from higher-level mobs.

Each piece of radiant armor provides bonuses to Frost and Shadow magic resistance. The entire set worn together would give the wearer a total of +91 resistance against Frost and Shadow magic. While this is an extremely substantial advantage, these pieces provide no other bonuses (other than armor protection of course).

Obviously, this armor is a bit specific in application. It would be best used in a situation where you know you'll be facing a lot of Frost and Shadow magic. And if that's the case, you're best off wearing as much of this set as possible.

However, for most other situations (such as basic grinding) this armor probably isn't the best choice.

Finally, unlike Thorium armor, which is very easy to make, each piece of Radiant Armor requires substantial amounts of Heart of Fire. This expense means that a Blacksmith would be less inclined to make these armors to raise his skill, or to sell them unless he had a specific customer in mind.

Please keep in mind that:
radiant = mail / thorium = plate

so, apart from skillraising, not a lot of use comparing them
