Netherstorm Alliance Leveling Quest Guide for Burning Crusade Classic

Welcome to Wowhead's TBC Classic guide to leveling efficiently in Netherstorm through questing as an Alliance player. This guide details the level range, optional leveling path, important quest hubs, and best quest rewards to pick up in Netherstorm, a high-level zone in Outland.

Netherstorm in Burning Crusade Classic

is located in the northern most region of Outland. Members of

and Goblins have set up outposts and encampments in the region, fighting back against Kael'thas Blood Elves and members of the Burning Legion.

One interesting part of the questing experience in Netherstorm is the introduction of faction specific quest chains. Depending on whether you aligned with

in Shattrath, you will get different quests from the Area 52 Quest Hub. This concept is expanded upon even further in Shadowmoon Valley, where there are entirely different quest hubs all together.
One important quest chain, which is required for the Karazhan attunement, is the quest chain to get attuned to The Arcatraz. To start this quest chain, head to Area 52 in Netherstorm to pick up

and complete as much of the quest as you can, before reaching the part where you need a flying mount!
Netherstorm Burning Crusade Classic Level Range
Netherstorm Quests Range from Level 66-70
Every quest in Netherstorm requires at least a minimum level of 67, so if you are a few bars of experience short, it could be a good idea to come here and grind on some mobs outside Area 52 before picking up your first round of quests.
There are actually a significant number of group quests in Netherstorm, in comparison to previous questing zones. Many of these group quests are a part of important quest chains, such as The Arcatraz attunement, but you can still find valuable group quests as part of the regular questing journey in Netherstorm. Most group quests can be completed with 2 or 3 people, at least level 67.
Near the end of the questing experience in Netherstorm, there will be a handful of quests that require level 68, so it is important to first tackle quest hubs and achieve that level, before heading to the second half of the zone's quest hub. If you head to the second half of the zone too quickly, you won't be able to pick up any quests.
Best Alliance Leveling Path in Netherstorm Burning Crusade Classic
Entering the zone for the first time, players can stop at the Gyro-Plank Bridge to pick up the first quest in Netherstorm,

, which sends the player to the first quest hub. Horde and Alliance will both head to the neutral Goblin city of Area 52, where they will pick up quests. These quests will send the player to the various regions around Area 52, such as Ruins of Enkaat, Manaforge B'naar, The Heap, and Arklon Ruins.
Some quests from Area 52 will send the player near Kirin'Var Village, which is also a mini-quest hub of its own. Here, players will assist Archmage Vargoth and the ghostly citizens of this village. After completing various quests around Area 52 and Kirin'Var Village, players will then meet up with the Consortium in the Eco-Dome and the Midrealm Post. Here this questing hub and the following, Stormspire, blur with one another and become somewhat of a sprawling quest hub.
These two quest hubs will send players around the entire northern section of Netherstorm, to the various Forge Bases, Manaforge Ultris, Ruins of Farahlon, and the Celestial Ridge. Once these quests have been completed, the final questing zone of Burning Crusade will remain, Shadowmoon Valley.

Area 52
Area 52 is the first questing hub for both Horde and Alliance players. Before heading here, make sure you stop by the Gyro-Plank Bridge and pick up the first quest in Netherstorm,

Eco-Dome Midrealm
The Eco-Dome's Midrealm Post is a small quest hub and an introduction to the Consortium in Netherstorm. Completing quests at this hub will quickly send the player to The Stormspire, which is north of the Eco-Dome across a bridge. The Eco-Dome Midrealm quest hub is relatively small, but it is a separate hub from Stormspire's. Here, quests will mostly revolve around the area next to the Midrealm Post, as well as an Invasion Point to the south.

The Protectorate Watch Post is the final quest hub in Netherstorm, consisting of a small output set up by The Consortium to fight against the monsters surrounding the Manaforge Ultris base. Dabiri's enigma is an incredibly strong tank trinket for Protection Warriors and Protection Paladins, giving a whopping 125 Block Rating for 15 seconds on a very short 90-second cooldown. This is a great pre-Heroic Dungeon trinket, which gives an extra defensive cooldown for tanks.

The X-52 Rocket Helmet is mentioned because it is one of the most iconic quest rewards in Burning Crusade. The other quest rewards from this chain are also extremely good, for nearly every role. Cloth spellcasters don't get anything from this quest upgrade-wise, but at least you get the X-52 Rocket Helm!
