Zangarmarsh Horde Leveling Quest Guide - TBC Classic

This guide covers leveling efficiently in Zangarmarsh through questing as a Horde player. This guide details the level range, optional leveling path, important quest hubs, and best quest rewards to pick up in Zangarmarsh, one of the first zones players encounter on their journey in Outland.

Zangarmarsh Introduction in TBC Classic

is the second zone in Outlands and is typically the follow-up to Hellfire Peninsula. Zangarmarsh has quests available from Level 60 up to Level 64 for both Alliance and Horde players. Alliance players have a small encampment in Zangarmarsh known as Telredor, while Horde Players have the encampment Zabra'jin.
Zangarmarsh will begin introducing the lore and factions around Serpentshrine Cavern, the Naga, Sporeggar, Ogres, and the Lost Ones. There are many creatures in Zangarmarsh, a surprisingly diverse region of Outland. In the various lakes around Zangarmarsh, you'll find many Naga Slavers using Lost Ones for nefarious plans involving steam-powered water pumps. This lore all ties into the Serpentshrine Cavern, Lady Vashj, and Illidan Stormrage.
There are PvP Objectives in Zangarmarsh, the Twin Spire Ruins, at the center of the map, just south of Serpent Lake. Three capture points in the West Beacon, the Twinspire Graveyard, and the East Beacon are obtainable. Factions controlling both beacons will receive the

buff, receiving a 5% damage boost.

Best Level to Start Zangarmarsh in TBC Classic
Zangarmarsh is recommended for players between level 60-64
Zangarmarsh quests start at Level 60 minimum requirement for the majority of the region, with a handful of quests requiring 61 or 62 to pick up. Most players will likely be leaving Hellfire Peninsula around Level 61 or 62, meaning nearly every quest in Zangarmarsh can be acquired right away. If you are leaving Hellfire Peninsula and going into Zangarmarsh for the first time, it might be a good idea to pick up

from the Cenarion Post in Hellfire before entering Zangarmarsh.
Nearing the higher level of the region, Zangarmarsh offers a handful of Group Quests in the Level 64 category. These quests include

. Typically, if a player were to enter Zangarmarsh at level 61 or 62, by completing every quest in Zangarmarsh, they should be around level 63 or 64 before leaving the zone and heading to Terokkar Forest.
Horde Leveling Path in Zangarmarsh for TBC Classic
Once Horde Players have completed Hellfire Peninsula, they'll find themselves with the quest

to meet Ysiel Windsinger at Cenarion Refuge, which is just outside Hellfire Peninsula. There, Horde players can pick up quests that reward reputation with

. This reputation is very important for obtaining the
, allowing the bearer to enter Heroic Dungeons in Serpentshrine Cavern.
North of the Cenarion Refuge, Horde players can find the Swamprat Post, a small encampment quest hub, with a valuable flight path. Surprisingly, there isn't a flight path in Cenarion Refuge. After questing on the eastern side of Zangarmarsh, Horde players will then venture West, toward Zabra'jin. After completing quests in Zabra'jin, Horde players can then help out the Sporeggar to the south, before eventually moving on to Terokkar Forest.
When Burning Crusade Classic is first released, Hellfire Peninsula will be a heavily trafficked area by players, and it will be extremely difficult to complete quests such as

. With so many players trying to complete the same quests (of which only 1 small area spawns these mobs), it will be a nightmare trying to quest here on day one of Burning Crusade Classic. For many players who have been playing Classic throughout Phases 1-6 and have Naxxramas gear, it might be a better option to skip Hellfire Peninsula and Thrallmar entirely and head straight to Zangarmarsh.

are some of the available quest giving NPC's in Cenarion Refuge. These quests will have players traveling to various regions around Cenarion Refuge, questing in regions such as Umbrafen Lake, Umbrafen Village, Darkcrest Shore, and the Funggor Cavern.

are the quest giving NPC's in Swamprat Post. Swamprat Post is a small outpost, with a trade goods vendor, a flightmaster, and a handful of NPC's. It is highly recommended that Horde players quickly grab the flight point from here after picking up quests in Cenarion Refuge, as both Cenarion Refuge and Swamprat Post quest hubs give quests in the Umbrafen Lake region.
Zabra'jin
Zabra'jin is the primary questing hub in Zangarmarsh for Horde players, hosting many quest giving NPC's as well as a flight path.

are some of the available quest givers. Quests from this quest hub will send Horde players to regions such as Feralfen Village, Serpent Lake, Hewn Bog, and the Ango'rosh Grounds.
Sporeggar
The Sporeggar quest hub is only "unlocked" after achieving some reputation with the Sporeggar faction. To do this, you'll first need to clear some quests in the Spawning Glen from NPC

Best Horde Quest Rewards in Zangarmarsh for TBC Classic
After reaching "Friendly" with Sporeggar, you can pick up the quest
