I'm having problems installing the Wowhead client. I've downloaded to my desktop and when I double-click on it and confirm that it should run, I get a message, "Could not find your World of Warcraft fold. It might not be installed on your computer."
Wow is installed here: C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft
Op system is Windows 7
Can someone explain to me how I can manually get the files into the correct directories so that I can use the client?
Thanks!

In the Wowhead Client, go to Tools > Options, and under WoW Folders > Live use the button to browse for your WoW folder.
Did you maybe not "install" WoW on this computer, but simply copied over the folder from another computer? I guess the Wowhead Client tries to find the folder via registry entries created when WoW is installed normally.

Thanks for the response.
No, I did not copy WoW over from another computer, it was a clean install and I did not change the install directory, but let it install in the default location.
And I can't go into the WowHead client and access the Tools - Options, because it cannot install since the app can't find the directory.
Ah well...thanks anyways.

You can uninstall it simply by deleting the program.
As to your quote I am referencing, what you have said makes zero sense. When you open the WHC, there is a Tools menu, followed by Options, wherein you use the button on the live line (not PTR or beta) to locate your main World of Warcraft folder. Not Interface or AddOns or any other subfolder. Point the WHC to the main folder.
The WHC installs whether you have WoW or not, so your problem... doesn't exist?

My issue has been resolved. For reasons unknown to me, the client wouldn't recognize WoW.exe two weeks ago, but when I tried it today, it did. My guess is an update to WoW itself fixed the problem. If you're having this issue, just give it time and maybe it will work for you.
