This is the first of a 6 boss "event" quest series. The quest requires level 65 to pick up and can be found at The Ring of Blood, just west of the Laughing Skull ruins. You will need a group of 4-5 for this, the more the better. Note that the first person to pick up the quest WILL have intial agro, have the tank pick it up first.

This first fight is against a level 65 elite clefthoof and really isn't a very tough fight. It's a single mob: tank, dps, heal, win.

this is a fairly easy set of quests if you have a good tank. You definitely need 5 people. One nice thing is there are often tons of other people waiting around and will help you take down the boss. The 5th boss the War Champion is by far the hardest, you basically need to just non-stop spam heal the tank. But over all, very easy, 20 minutes for 80k xp, 90g, and a great quest reward. Definitely worth doing

There is no way this set of quests could suck any more if there are other groups waiting. Especially if you are alliance and they're horde (or vice versa). If you're lucky and the other group is nice, groups can help each other (have to kill mobs twice, but still nice to work together). We had the other alliance group tell us, "Hey bud, just gotta click faster."

Be aware that all the Ring of Blood quests behave like escort quests, and you have to turn them in before you die or log off otherwise they'll come back as failed.

I got a little inpsired, so i tried to solo this as a warlock:

First, I enslaved Felguard Legionnaire in Forge Camp:Hate(don't forget to use Curse of Shadows when enslaving). Then I accepted the quest and let the felguard tank the Brokentoe. I used about every cooldown I had(didn't have to use SS/HS though, did it on my first try) I got him down to around 8%, when the Felguard died, so I had to quickly finish him. Luckily, I took about 2 hits.

Also, you don't have to worry about aggro, as Felguard creates extreme amounts of threat. :) Trinket + Amp. Curse + Curse of Doom work great here.

The ring was difficult, make sure u have a full group and a GOOD healer. The first three i would say were decent in terms of difficulty but the others really made you work but the Reward was well worth it

I would recommend everyone that does not need any of the quest rewards wait till they are lvl 70 to do this quest chain.

At level 70 you will get 118g 23s from the whole quest chain, and 10g50s for selling Honed Voidaxe quest reward.

Total gold for this chain is 128g 73s.

you can't do this in a raid i think. but if you get some to help out of group it work we was 11 to do it from the 5th part and up.

Brokentoe is an extremely simple battle. Simply allow the tank a few attacks to increase their threat if you have Cloth-wearing classes (Priests, Warlocks, Mages) providing the DPS. It's very important because, regardless of the simplicity of the battle, he hits hard on Clothies. I did this with three 66 Frost Mages (Me and two others), a 70 Hunter, a 67 Paladin (Protection specced). We had a Restoration Shaman (not in the group) dedicated to healing the tank ONLY. This became much easier when another alliance group came to finish all 6 fights, so we had a lot of help. This is some of the easiest gold you'll make if you can gather enough people.

do it with a group: 70 prot war, 70 arms war, 65 feral dru, 66 shama(as healer, but without healing gear) and 66 hunter. all bosses expect the last are easy and killable, last boss have strong sttack and nice DPS.. 2 of us die at him..

Very easy quests for a 65 NE Hunter (me), a 65 Human Paladin, a 70 Human Warrior anda a 70 Draenei Shaman.

I recommend getting a full group willing to run the whole thing, if they can't stay for the whole thing, then might be issues later.

The Ring of Blood: Brokentoe

Clefthoof, straight forwad fight, tank and spank.

The Ring of Blood: The Blue Brothers

Twins (Lost Ones I think), tank and offtank unless MT is 70 or can take quite a beating. Even a pet will do as long as the healer heals it. Otherwise, tank and spank.

The Ring of Blood: Rokdar the Sundered Lord

Rock Giant. He has a knockback and hits a bit hard. Otherwise, tank and spank.

The Ring of Blood: Skra'gath

A Voidwalker, aggro difficult to maintain, I am not sure why, he will randomly go after other people in the group. Otherwise, tank and spank.

The Ring of Blood: The Warmaul Champion

Etheral. This is probably the most difficult fight. He has mortal strike which hits for quite a bit (this nerfs ALL heal effects for those who aren't sure), a specialized healer is highly reccomended. He also charges people at random (little damage) and goes right back to the tank. This also has a stun effect when he charges you. So healer don't be the furthest away or you will be stunned.

The Ring of Blood: The Final Challenge

Basic fight. He's a Shaman, someone should be on totem duty (instant cast/hunter). His shocks hurt mildly. He DOES heal at least once, He is immune to counterspell and silencing shot.

He resses once and you have to fight him again. Otherwise, he's a fairly easy fight.

Anyway, he never touched me for under 1k damage, through plate armor. You'll need backup. Probably not a full group for the first guy, but at least a healer.

This was public humilination.

I thought 'oh i'll pick up that quest'

I didn't think it was one of those quests you had to do right away.

And then I saw the beast...brokentoe...

66 Elite.

I thought 'ok i've killed elite of the same level as me before..just bash them when i'm low on health , come out of bearform and heal myself'.

Well the plan failed...later on i noticed it said 'suggested 5 players' under the quest log.

Well that's was quite embarresing.

Solo'd with a 70 Demo build and an Enslaved Felguard, no pots just Curse of Weakness, dot and bolt spam till it dies.

You get about 20g for this at 70. And a ton of pots at the end. Now to see if the rest of them are soloable.

I did this with anouther Guildie when we reached level 65. At first we got a little help. For a full party but not very strong since we had 4 people that were 65-66. Not Long after During a serious alliance gank fest a bunch of our high level guildies came to help out. We had about 15 members show then So it was logical to make a raid group. But the quest can not be done as a raid.

If you have this kind of back up Make a single party seperate from the main group For the people that need the quest done. We also Added our best healer to our party For the Ones doing the quest. And also make sure everyone is on the same part. saves alot of time redoing parts of it over.

***IMPORTANT*** - Even with help You can still die Dont release your spirit Or the Quest will fail.. One guy did it up so we had to redo a boss for him.
Even while dead if the rest of the help kills the boss you will get credit for it. Then have a player Res you and your good to go to cash in. Cha Ching!

ok i just saw the axe from this quest i was like OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG i look it up i go to the place were to start the quest thres a group there they ask me to tank i said ok i asked them to help with hte quests after for me and they said ok after dieing a number of times we did it they hunter got the axe now it was my turn...i say ok can i repair fisrt they all leave...i wasted time helping htem thinking they were gonna help me after because they said they would
and they leave...my repair bill was 7g not to bad but still tats money wasted for nottin

A lot of times folks see a quest that involves a 67 elite or such and think, "Beh! I can solo this!"

Hehe ... won't happen with this one!

I was with a group of three when we stumbled on this quest last night. Even though I have been through Nagrand with two other level 65s. Doh! Gonna bring them back for this!

We were able to hail a couple of level 70s from our guild who were in Shattrath, they popped over and we banged out the whole quest line in short order. We even got help from various folks passing buy who would pitch in to fight some of the guys. And we did it the whole thing a second time around for a warrior who wanted it since we didn't have room in our original group.

Some very good money for a quest series that took around 30 minutes from the time we found it to the time the folks got there and we had it finished.

Howcome I can't get this quest and then go do any other quest? Whenever I pick it up and kill some ogres just to keep it in my quest log it always comes up failed.

Logging out before handing in this quest will result in a the quest being FAILED
I didnt it in the last stage of the chain, and had to redo that stage

For each one of these you do you get over 11g and a ton of XP, your missing out if you dont get a group and go do this one.

Don't bother trying these quests unless you're in a guild. You'll have a very hard time finding 4 random people to do this with you if you're not in a guild. I spent like a week in Nagrand and couldn't get a single group to do this quest line.

Me, 65 feral dru, my 68 bot shadow priest, and my wife who is a 65 rogue dropped him today with minimal difficulty. I didnt tell the wife it was a suggested 5 player mob. She came in and sat down to me saying "help me kill this" lol priest went oom but I used shadowfiend too early and doubled shield and greater heal over and over. Used one mana pot but didnt need it. The stuns he threw down sucked for my healer. I'd click heal and notice my health was low and look over to see him not casting. A downside to boxing a healer. Longer fight than I am used to also. Endurance fight more or less. i didnt catch his hp but I would guess 50K ish.

Did it easy, we had me (War)66, Lock66, Shaman65, pally69, priest70. + a 70war 70 lock and 70 hunter from the pallies guild help us. did it in 20 mins, due to all the 70's.

Accepting the quest will IMMEDIATELY start the event. So make sure everyone is there to READY to accept the quest when it starts. You will get a prompt that someone started the quest and to accept it when it starts.

You are free to turn in the quest when it completes since the starter is a different NPC and quest addons won't be able to auto accept the next quest since it's on a different NPC.
