Make sure you bring flint and tinder and simple wood to create a basic campfire. You'll need to have cooking trained to make one. If you're already in Ashenvale, you can buy it from this NPC.

Ignore the quest text. You'll want to go to 27, 22.

Grab the unlit torch and light it with your basic campfire. Set the cart on fire. Now you can go upstairs and grab the figure off the table.

You do this because the NPC standing next to it doesn't want to part with it, so talk to him before doing this if you want to read that dialogue.

For those who don't carry flint and tinder on them all the time, there is a campfire west of the house (near the coast line) next to Talen at Ashenvale (14,31).

if you forget to bring some flint and tinder for the quest, you can find a campfire in southern Zoram's Strand, a low level night elf questgiver sitting at it.

This quest is to obtain the Incubus, the male version of the Succubus, added to WoW in 2022.

Steps to complete the quest:

Go to the house at 26,22 in Ashenvale
The objective of the quest is to obtain the Wooden Figurine which can be found upstairs in the house, the NPC however won't let you take it.
n a table outside the house is an Unlit Torch you can take
You need to lit the torch using a campfire which you can make if you have the cooking skill. In case you don't have the cooking skill, there is a NPC Talen nearby that sits at a campfire at Zorams Strand (15,31). You can walk there to light the torch which will stay lighted for 5 minutes, so don't make any detours on your way back to the house :)
Light the torch on the cart that is right next to the table outside.
The archeologists will run outside in panic to put out the fire, at this time you can walk upstairs again and take the Wooden Figurine from the table as it's unguarded.
Take it back to the Slaughtered Lamb in SW, the follow-up quest will be similar to obtaining any other Warlock pet

Questie has been updated to track this quest. You do need to have a campfire or go to the one by Talen near Zoram Strand. If you don't have the flightpaths, then just head straight north through the Barrens to get to Ashenvale. You can also stop by 34,47 to grab the flightpath and grab your flint and tinder from Haljan Oakheart.

Don't forget to stop by 85, 43 in Ashenvale to grab the other flight path before heading west. And since you are right there, you might as well go to Azshara to grab the flightpath at 12, 78, which is just across the river.

I stayed for the cinematic extinguishing of the cart flames, which took the 2 druids a surprisingly long time.
I watched hidden outside waiting for the reaction as they completed it and ventured back inside.
To my surprise upstairs Relathor has found himself another Wooden Figurine, placed exactly where the last one was. Better not tell Gakin!

It's in a house north of Maestra's Post, right next to the road (on the left if you're coming from Maestra's Post).

It is guarded by 2 archeologists (Cyriden Farseeker and Relathor Moonsong). You have to distract them by creating a fire.

You can get an unlit torch on a table outside of the house. Lit it with a campfire (if you're not a cook, there's one on the lower part of The Zoram's Strand, against the hills there, next to the npc Talen).
You then have 5mins to go back to the house and toss it on the cart outside, next to the table where you found the unlit torch (it will have sparkles around it). The two archeologists will then leave the house to extinguish it, which gives you plenty of time to go upstairs and pick up the figurine.

In TBC Anniversary, this quest is bugged:
* I distract the archaeologists.
* I run upstairs, and right click the figurine.
* The pseudo "cast bar" runs through to completion.
* The figurine disappears off the table, but doesn't arrive in my inventory.

I was able to loot figurine today. There were 2 other locks struggling to loot as well as myself initially. I decided to dismiss my pet and then /reload my UI. Once loading screen disappeared, the item went to my bag automatically. Seems the other locks here were unable to replicate how I did it. Maybe looting it was a bug in itself.

What Is Love?

Retrieve the Wooden Figurine and bring it to Gakin the Darkbinder in the Mage Quarter of Stormwind.

Description

You will need a powerful reagent to tempt an incubus -- an object that represents great devotion and love. With my scrying, I have located a small figurine that should be suitable for your ritual. Thousands of years ago, the figurine belonged to a young couple. The original owners are no more, but their keepsake has survived to the present day. Follow the road north into Ashenvale, then west and past Maestra's Post. You will see a house nestled amongst the trees. There you will find what you seek.
