Collect Ruuan'ok Claws northeast of Evergrove (65, 30), by killing any of the Arakkoa. Use 6 of the claws at the glowing green pattern in the middle of the Arakkoa camp to summon the Harbinger and kill him for the pendant.

You get claws by killing the Arakkoa (Bird People), not the Basilisks. Which I figured out after slaying 20+ Basilisks, and accidently killing one Arakkoa.

Don't make the same mistake.

This quest took me awhile because of the drop % of the claws. Other than that, the Harbinger was easy to solo.

He was easy, only a 68 and I was a 67 lock. There was a fire elemental there and I couldnt attack it for some reason.

I had good luck getting the claws with about a 70% drop rate from any of the bird people.

Well the Ruuan'ok claw drop from them birdy looking humanoids in the Veil Ruuan camp. But one thing is certin in that quest... the drop rate for the claws are too low or im just unlucky :P

Just a little note for fellow rogues out there, when grinding the mobs for this quest, be cautious of the fire lamps spotted around the place, the fire damage radius seems to be alot more then most and will knock you out of stealth.

I killed about 20 Mobs around 66,32 and I got all 6 Claws I think in that area is a High Drop Rate

Seems to be a bug in the quest items. It gives me the option to summon a Harbinger with 5 claws, but once you try to, it says it's missing a reagent. So make sure you farm for all 6.

ok guys, just do what I do if the drop rate is @#$%ty:

kill the entire place, I am a level 67 druid and this should not be a problem for me, I just have to use caution.

Alllrighty then, so far its been roughly 20mins on this quest.

I noticed that some of the higher level monsters in in this area, seem to have a better drop rate then the ones that are 1 level below.

So far I collected 4 feathers.

I hope this helps everyone and also the co-ords for this place (65, 30) are confirmed.

Low drop-rate aside, easy quest.

Just farm ANY of the Arakkoa in the area for the claws. I got my first few quickly, then the rest came slowly. Regardless, not tough enemies if you're of a high enough level.

Once you get all 6, the confirmed coord is about 65,33. You'll probably have to kill a Basilisk to get to the island. Use the claws, and the target comes swooping in as a bird within a few seconds.

I recommend killing a Basilisk to get to island, using the claws (about a 3 second cast time) and then running off the island to an open area, away from the other Basilisks and birdies. The Harbinger should still be aggroed.

If you're able to kill the other Arakkoa in the area, this fight should be no trouble. The tough is the grinding (which can take anywhere from 5 minutes to 20 minutes, depending on your luck)

First off dunno why you need coords on this one, pretty straight forward. Take the quest and go directly north until you hit Veil Ruuan which is home to the Ruuan'ok arakkoa you need to kill for the claws. For anyone who absolutely has to follow coords though the ones listed on this page are all right. Drop rates just suck.

To those who got 6 claws off their first 6 kills? Pretty sure that's pure luck, but hey all power to ya. I was killing arakkoa in this little village of theirs for about a half an hour before even checking 'khazam. I had been killing Ravenguards and Cloudgrazers as I hadn't even seen the Skyfury's on my way in (little hint to those lookin' they spawn along the southern and western outskirts of the Veil). Went and found a couple Skyfury's and on my second kill finally got my first claw. Went 4/8 on the Skyfury's and polled the last 3 off the others. Skyfury's probably do have the best drop rate, but they have the lowest spawn rate. All in all getting the claws is just a hassle.

The exact coords for summoning are 64,33 - or the tiny hunk of land surrounded by all the Basilisk. Can't miss it due to the glowing green circle on the ground. Pop your claws and bring down the thunder. The Harbinger is a lvl 68 non-elite raven that swoops down and turns into a dagger wielding arakkoa. Easy frikkin' fight. Down him and snag the pendant and ya done.

ive done it with a friend and got all 12 claws in about 1 run arround the camp.

the boss is lvl 68, real easy, can almost kill him nekkid.

It only drops ONE claw pendant. So if you do this in a group you have to get 6 claws for each person.

This quest is simple in theory but is quite annoying. The quest takes place at
64, 32 or for Non-Coordinates users: Slightly North-East of the Cenarion camp. Mobs are levels 66-67. You need to kill the mobs with "Ruuan'ok" in their name. They drop claws (droprate is about 1 in 5). Once You have obtained the required "6" claws from the regular mobs, you can then summon up a "Harbringer of the Raven". You can summon it by right clicking on your stack of six claws while standing on the Magical Green Circle located in the middle of the camp. The spawn is a Lvl 68 Non-Elite. GL Everyone.

Okay first you kill mobs with Ruuan'ok in theirs name. Kill them until you get 6 claws . >Ruuan'ok claw< <---- (the name) and when you get that just run on this cordinate ; 64,33 and summon the boss. The boss is not elite , easy to kill . I'll prefer you to not bring a group to down him. Just use five seconds and own him (max 10 seconds for any class if you know how to play). The mobs that drops claws are at 62,33 (near that area) just clear the area. Watch out for basilks they don't drop what you need. Good luck doing the quest. Regards Sharjeel.

The first claw took me 2 full clears of the entire camp.

After that 2 more clears and I had all 6.

Your better off soloing this quest everyone in ur party need to pick up 6 and summon him, he only drops one quest item per person.

idk my coords were 63,31 you can get claws and see the basilisks near there also light feathers here, glitch or not the basilisks "play dead",, final drop off 68 non elite

I really seems the drop rate is really fluctuating.
Got my first 2 really quick but then it took me 15 kills later to get my 3rd, moment later my 4th, 5th, and about 10 more kills later for my 6th.
Though it sounds like some people got it really quick and others forever
Don't be too discouraged but if you don't get any in the first 20 kills, make sure your in the right place and have the right quest

Focus on the Ruuan'ok Skyfurys.

Out of my 6 claws:

1 Claw came from Ravenguard (Many Kills)
5/5 came from Skyfury's.

Creating the Pendant

Find 6 Ruuan'ok Claws and use them at the Ruaan'ok Oracle Circle to summon a Harbinger of the Raven. Kill it and return its Harbinger's Pendant to Timeon at Ruuan Weald.

Description

The arakkoa of Ruaan Weald elevate from their flock the Harbingers of the Raven, the heralds of their god.

They believe that the Harbingers watch over them from the sky, where they receive the teachings of the Raven, and descend to pass this message along.

The Harbingers hold a powerful sway over the souls of the arakkoa. They use magical pendants, which we need.

Attract one of the Harbingers by slaying its flock and taking their claws. Place the claws upon the altar to get his attention.
