Coords confirmed. Tried to solo him multiple times day of patch 2.0.6 at level 64. Need two people at the most. Lots of mobs pat the area so you may want to clear.

Completed as 62 Warlock (Affliction) with a 62 Priest (Discipline). Immune to fear (doh), but used Voidwalker, Siphon Life, Drain life while DoTs, with priest heals.

Did /target Stonegazer, had him targeted and the punk snuck up behind us, lolz.

Struggled quite considerably as a Arms (MS, 2Hander), Fury Warrior, 64. Hits for about 260-350 on plate. Had to take a Major Healing Potion when the mob was at about 5k health.

Respawn rate is quite slow so use your time wisely if he's not about, clear the other none elite Basilisks so you don't get any adds. It is soloable as an Arms/Fury warrior, but take a friend anyway.

just soloed as lvl 64 orc combat sword specced rogue. must have had a patch to make him immune to poisons because none of mine procced (cripple/instant). CS, then spammed SS and 5 CB KS, waited for energy and hit blade flurry, blood fury, and bladefist's breadth. spammed SS, hit super healing potion and hit 5 CB eviscerate, then hit evasion and adrenaline rush. another 5 CB KS then got off a 2 CB eviscerate and he went down. had about 150 health left out of 6300ish

Just walk along the coast and you will find him (coast near Firewing Point). I am a level 66 hunter with a dps cat as a pet level 65 and I almost died to him. He hits like a tank, and he cant be slowed so becarful.

Solo'd this quest as a 63 BM hunter with King B as a pet. I basically just pulled him away from adds, sent my pet in, pop'd my CDs, and just tore him down, letting my pet do the tanking, and healing him when needed.

Look for a creek surrounded by green basilisks. Stonegazer pats to this creek, and back away to the south/southeast.

I solo'd him as a 65 frostspecc mage. He was pretty hard, cuz hes immune to freeze and reduced movement speed. I had to use ice barrier, ice block, and 2 water elementals in a row. (thats only possible when u have cold snap ready...)

This is soloable as a lock. The trick is to go slow and steady on the DPS and bring a few bandages. I let my VW tank him and kept up curse of agony and then just kept casting health funnel. Its a slow fight, but very manageable since he doesn't really hit all that hard. I used 3 bandages total.

Sole´d him as 64 rogue. Ofc stelthed in and cheap shot, snister strike until 4 combo point then kidny shot, blowed my "Mark of Resolution" (trinket), "evasion", "adrenaline rush" and my "Bladefist's Breadth". more snister strike until 4 combo point then rupture, more sinister strike until 3 combo point then kidny shot, sinister strike and eviscerate.

He was hard but he got down and i won :D

he crit me 2 times with 1k each, it hurts.

I found hiim at 62,28. Solo'd as a lvl 65 protection paladin.. just used seal of light/judgement of light, though I probably could have just used crusader/righteousness to kill him faster. He was hitting me for about 61.

Killed him easily as a level 65 Undead Shadow Priest. I just kited him with Shield up constantly and keeping dots on him at all times. I even got an extra crocodile on me early on, but I just feared it every time it got to me. Also, Inner Focus + Devouring Plague helped me out a lot. I also got chance to stop and recast Vampiric Touch, and even got off a few Mind Blasts/Mind Flays.

Should be easy to solo as long as you keep him dotted and keep shield up at all times. Also, try to use the terrain to your advantage. Run around trees to screw up its path so you can get some breathing room.

DID with lv 61 druid an me as 62 hunter.Pretty hard but keep him entangled and just dot him DO NOT USE PET use serpent sting or use scare beast.

Easily did this as a 65 Feral druid. He hits for about 250 in bear form. I didn't have to shift heal at all, just sat back and attacked. Did use frenzied regeneration. So for any druids that don't wanna have to find a group go ahead and try it.

Just soloed this as a 65 Elemental Shaman, pretty easy and straightforward fight, I had WoA, Stoneskin, Healing Stream and Searing Totems down, just lightning bolted him till I needed to heal, healed myself and went right back to casting on him, ended the fight with 40% mana and 76% health. didn't have to pot or anything.. he was hitting me for about 280-300, I'm wearing mostly mail but a few leather pieces. found him at 64.91 31.59, there was also quite a bit of Timber Worg Alpha's for anyone still working on their pelts at this point.. good luck!

Soloed as a lvl 64 decent geared hunter.
He doesnt have that much hp, the only problem is his dps.....
Pet heal a couple of times and its no problem!

solo'd this as a 65 Pally (holy). Was a good fight, used a super mana pot half way into the battle. Buffed and spelled my way through to the end. If I can solo it anyone with a bit of experience can.

Soloable as a 63 Retribution paladin. I'm pretty well geared out for my level; about 1/2 blues...but it's definitely doable. (Had to burn LoH, of course), I got jumped while doing another quest, had full mana but half health...you just have to heal during your stun(s). He hits hard (about 300+ on plate), but not fast. Don't remember exact Co-ords, but he jumped me just to the southeast of the north-westernmost Arakkoa village.

Soloed as a 64 Affliction warlock. Tough, but knock back a Mad Alchemist's Potion near the end of the fight and you'll be perfect.

Soloed as 64 feral druid, even tho i didnt use forms. He cant be rooted but can be hibernated. Just used starfire/hibernate combo all the time, and no problem, took a mana pot and innervate. Also 2.3k experience from killing him isnt bad either. Good Luck

As a 64 Holy priest this guy is soloable.

I have +702 healing and so long as I kept my Renew up, with an occasional Greater Heal I could keep my health constant. I used Holy Fire and SW:P only, with wanding in between dot applications to regen mana. Used 1 healing pot.

much easier than i thot. 63 BM hunter and he never got my pet below 1/2 health. just keep mend pet on. he hits slow so mend pet can keep up. if he starts killing pet alot or does kill pet, just cc him and heal/revive. bird quest

I found him at 64,29 but he must move aroud that area so stick to the edge you'll find him...... GL easy at lvl 70 Warlock just keep felguard on him dot him then heal redo when needed

The guy does seem to spawn at approx 70,30 and wander up and down between about 64,31 and 70,30.

Has approx 19,000 HP and doesn't seem to cast anything nasty.

Soloed as a 64 Prot Pally, with no special gear really, didn't hit as hard as i expected. Had to bubble (x1) and heal (x2). Used a super Mana pot to keep mana up but didn't need LoH.

2330XP for the kill @ 64

He definitely wanders around 63,40 and 70,31.

Solo with a 64 BM hunter and a 63 pet who lost hunger 3 attacks in. Got two adds (wolfs). Popped one pot, FD failed and I died but my pet was full HP.

Edit: As long as you keep mend up, your pet will be fine. His attacks are extremely slow.

The moral of the story: Stonegazer is easy cheese for a 64 elite.

It was a fun fight with my 68 Pally. Keep in mind, while I was fighting him, I had to kill a few addons that seem to be pretty close unless you kill them off first.

Timer Worgs and other Ironspine Chompers like to jump into the fight if you don't clear them first.

easy as a 64 hunter, just used Track Beast. and fought him in an empty area.
the worgs do like to join in when they can, but just frost trap and make sure you do alot of mend pet so your pet doesnt die.

other then that just watch out for his stun

Really easy solo as lv64 prot pally.

I fought him at 63, 26 - facing the creek you've got the drop-off on your left and cliffs behind. Just a couple of mobs to clear and you've got a safe little spot to sit.

He tracks over the creek towards you so easy pull and a quick and painless fight.
Didn't require a bubble or LoHs; just basic crusader judged, righteous sealed, HS grind-fest.

I just nuked him down on the second attempt after seeing as he's immune to snares. Kept water elemental up using cold snap, and kept nuking him with insta casts. Easy.

63 mage.

solo'd as a 65 rogue, mutilate spec, dual Grand Marshal's Dirks, 6789 HP (1260AP, 21% crit), had to use a healing pot (Onslaught Elixir and a scroll), blind resisted - it was close, he got me down to 478 HP.

Coords are 64-29 but this guy patrols a huge area from mountain to firewing point so dont expect to see him right off the bat. Anyway hes a huge Red bask, cant miss him if you see him 63 elite if i remember correctly tanked him w/ 64 war but needed health pot and naaru to take him so if its convienent group up.

This was fairly easy as a lvl 63 feral drood. Just go in cat, and when you have 5 combo points do maim and heal. And then repeat until he's dead. Watch out for crits though.

65 Hunter with 65 Pet (Pet has over 9k armor and over 4.5k health)

^ Clear a small area where you will pull, stay away from trenches
^ Cut off pet taunt and keep Aspect of Hawk up
^ Send pet in and let him beat on him and get beat for a few seconds
^ Unleesh Hell on him until he turns to fight you.
^ Start your kite keeping as much distance as you can. Hes not to fast.
^ If Warps or other enemies agro you FD, they will sometimes go for your pet
make sure to lay a trap and hit em all with multi shot, then go back to laying into the boss, use rapid fire and trinkets

Probably could have just unloaded but this is a sure thing.

I also solo/d him as a lvl 62 Dwarf Shadow Priest. I used the Winter Veil Mechanical Grinch and 1 super healing pot.

LOL lvl 67 frost spec mage. AoE pulled a wolf and a moth at same time. No healing pots. Did have to use cold snap to keep water elemental up to dps while i kited the adds and the elite. No problem. My advice... clear an area around those coords then fight elite. If you feel you must have healing pot will not hurt, but definately not up there on my list of tough fights.

I tried to solo this guy as a lvl 70 mage....no dice (would have got him solo if I had had a health pot). He's immune to the slow effects of frostbolts, and cannot be frozen by frost nova. If you're a mage he'll be beating your face the entire fight.

Okai i noticed that i had skipped this quest ^^

Now as a 70 43-13-5 warrior with honed voidaxe(i have terokk quill but skill too low atm^^) i solod it. had ~19k hp and i had 23% hp left(i have 9.4k)

He fight tough until the end but he died anywys :)

Found it quite easily around 69,27-ish area (he walks east to west).
Took me two times to get him killed (forgot to clear the area first time and got attacked by some of the other mobs there). Did this as a 65 Warlock (affliction specced).

Took a couple attempts as 64 rogue, I must have had him to 100 health forst time then the git crit me for 1400+ and got me.
Next time got the expose armour and hit the gouges and KS better, took one small pot near end as did not fancy another late swipe from him!.

Description

The woman to my right suffered a severe injury to the head. She survived, but lost her eyesight.

A traditional cure used among my people requires the blood of a very old basilisk.

Unfortunately, due to poaching from various groups, Terokkar basilisks don't tend to live very long.

There is one basilisk whose name I've known since I was a youngling. It is known only as "Stonegazer" and it's rumored to live east of here, near the land's edge.

Bring me its blood so that Zahlia may see once again.
