Unconfirmed Diablo IV Prepurchase and Dragonflight Launch Dates Leaked
16/8/2022 em 14:22
A seemingly internal document has begun
circulating on Reddit
and other social media websites, which would appear to reveal the prepatch and global release dates for several Activision and Blizzard Entertainment products, including World of Warcraft: Dragonflight.
If true, this would reveal that Dragonflight prepatch will be on October 25th, with global launch on November 28th, and Diablo IV prepurchses on December 8th.
The image, which appears to be a partial screenshot of some internal chain management and readiness documentation detailing various game launch dates for monitoring purposes, was shared a few hours before the August 30th date for
Wrath of the Lich King Classic Pre-Patch
was announced. This has helped lend it an air of authenticity, although it is somewhat odd in that it specifically details WoW, Overwatch, and Diablo, with a little bit of Call of Duty sprinkled in. It also mentions the Game Awards, for which Activision President Rob Kostich
serves on the advisory board
Of course, there's no actual confirmation that these dates are true, but fans are eager to know as much as they can about the upcoming releases. If we do operate under the presumption that they are real, this gives us just over two months before the World of Warcraft: Dragonflight Prepatch on October 25th, and one more month before Dragonflight global launch on November 28th. Although still keeping with Blizzard's promise of releasing Dragonflight before the end of the year, this could still prove to be an awkward time for players, especially progression raiders who may be worried about the
Vault of the Incarnates raid
releasing over the Christmas and New Years holidays.
