More specifically, he's near the heroic quest for SSC attunement.

Once you jump in the water, instead of turning left, go up the ramp that is right in front of you. About half way up you'll see a dead tauren and get credit for the quest.

You can solo to this chap as a 70 hunter.

You just have to dodge between mobs. Also feign death and wait for a couple of other patrolling mobs to walk by (apparently the roll for success is only in combat). They can walk straight over your feigned body and not notice you.

You can also pretty much solo most of the group pulls anyway with trapping and BM spec.

It's quite hard to explain where this guy is, but basically go in, through the first watery chamber and enter the building on the left (north) side of the cavern. There is a ramp that goes up, splits, joins back, then splits and leaves you with a large drop into some water. In front of you is a ramp up the centre with 3 people patrolling it. Wait till they are nearing the top, run half way up and feign, then wait for them to pass and he's at the top. Or you could kill them >_>

actually, having a greenthumb means you like to do gardening a lot. it's not necessarily a reference to cypress hill!

There is a part of Slave Pens where you jump in some water, climb out, and clear some mobs before moving on to Rokmar the Crackler.

There is a ramp near that trash. Weeder Greenthumb is at the top of that ramp.

as a rogue, right now im attempting to solo a quest called Lost in Action, where you need to speak to this NPC among others to finish the quest. This one is tough because there are 2 spots ive hit where there are Defenders who see through stealth.

Entering the instance, go straight through the first room, down a hall that curves to the left. the hallway opens into a very large room with multiple camps and pats of crabs and naga. continue straight through this room until you are just before a ramp that leads into a large pool of water. look to your left and you should see a tunnel with two Defender type nagas. these see through stealth. best bet here is to pop evasion and sprint while stealthed, and make a break for it. once you get a small lead on them, vanish before you get to the end of the tunnel.

Make a right when the tunnel forces you to turn left or right. you will see a medium sized room with some camps and a pat. you will also see the first boss here walking up and down a large ramp in the middle of the room. wait till he is at the bottom of the ramp, jump onto the ramp from the side and make your way up. you are now on a upper catwalk type walkway. there are a few patrols here, but nothing that your distract cant handle. make your way to the far side of the catwalk but be careful because there is a Defender patrol here. so stay a little bit back from the archway while your vanish cools down.

Once your vanish and sprint and evasion are cooled down, creep forwards and wait till this pat turns to walk away from you. distract, evasion, sprint, and go for it. try to get a bit of a lead on them before you hit vanish, because they will break your stealth right away if they are close. they will even break your advanced stealth that vanish gives you. once you are through and vanished , you will see below you a large room with another ramp identical to the first one you walked up. at the top of this ramp you should see the corpse of the NPC Weeder Greenthumb.

wait for vanish to cool down, drop, and vanish. walk up the ramp and get your credit.

The easiest way to describe this is when you go down the ramp where you HAVE to jump in the water because the ramp just ends and drops off, you get to the ledge and the ramp in front of you leads up to Weeder Greenthumb. It's right before the tunnel that leads to the room with the lobster looking boss.

Soloable with a mage, at 70, with Invisibility and some good DPS.

Enter the instance, and follow the path. Dodge the crabs. When you see naga, get as close as possible, and pop Invisibility.

STOP when you reach the entrance to the large room. There are yellow mobs here, but the patrols won't come near.

Wait for Invisibility to cool down.

Wait for the patrols to all be as far as possible, then get as far into the room without aggro as possible, and pop another Invisibility. Hug the right wall, but not falling into the pool.
Your Invis will be expiring right as you hit another wall. You should see some cages in front of you and a little alley (safe to AFK while your Invis cools down again, btw). You should be able to see the giant lobster boss across the pool of water.

Wait for Invis to cooldown again.

Walk along the pool of water (with the little ramp into it, and steam) until you see a rusty ramp leading upwards, and 2 Naga Defenders guarding it.

The Defenders which are here can detect you while Invisible. So you have to kill them. They aren't hard, but if you're not careful, you can aggro the slave guy and you'll wipe.

Stand to the right of the ramp which these naga guard, and sheep the closest one. Nuke the other one as hard as you can, but watch out for his Spell Reflect ability. It lasts only about 6 seconds, but if you hit yourself hard enough, he'll be able to finish you.

Re-sheep the other, Evocate (if you need to) and then nuke the remaining one.

Walk up the ramp until you get to the entrance of a large room which goes both ways.

You'll be going right. If you inch out, you can see a layout of the room. There are pats walking near the base of the ramp to the right, some mobs inside the room, and a boss which patrols up and down the ramp that you'll be going up.

Wait until the boss gets all the way to the bottom AND wait until the patrol on the catwalk above him is on the ramp closest to you. This way, you can run up the ramp, then to the right, without worrying about popping up on more mobs. Pop Invisibility again. Run up the ramp as fast as you can, and run right.

This is where luck comes into play. There's ANOTHER patrol on the ramp (2 technicians) you're on. They're at the far end of the catwalk. You have to sheep one, then guide the other one further away so you won't aggro the other patrol. It's possible to see the other patrol which is at the top of the ramp, but it's really hard to estimate where they'll be after your 20 seconds of invisibility has passed.

The odds are in your favor though... They cover a large distance and you have to pop out really close to aggro them.

These are technicians. They're very easy for a mage to solo. They hit like girls, and waste a lot of time channeling rain of fire, which doesn't seem to be working correctly (didn't even hurt me).

Once these two are dead, you'll reach the opposite end of the catwalk. You'll see a patrol of 2 defenders and another mob.

If you're having trouble so far, then you might want to give up, as this is where it gets really tough.

First, wait for the Defender patrol to get far away. Then switch to the parallel, opposite catwalk, and kill the other 2 technicians there.

Drink up.

You have to kill the 2 defenders and their buddy. There's no way around it. Make sure you have an emerald, some bandages, a potion, whatever. Make sure your cooldowns are done.

Sheep a defender, then nuke the defender's little buddy FAST. Once he's dead, Frost Nova kite the other defender. Resheep the other one if he breaks.

Once those two are dead, bandage up while the other guy is sheeped until you're ready to go (resheeping for more time as necessary) then kill him.

There's another patrol wandering back and forth at the other side of the hallway you're looking at now. Invisibility, and walk to either side of the bridge, and sit on the edge.

Let Invisibility cooldown again. You should be able to see Greenthumb on the altar across the room.

Pop invisibility again, and run up the altar stairs, and wait in the far corner to return to normal.

Wait for the patrol to go to the bottom of the stairs, and you're done.

as a paladin, i forgot to talk to this guy after my group cleared the instance, so i went back, and the trash mobs were here. "crap," i thought. so i figured i would just leave group and wait for my "teleporting to shattrath city" timer to get to about 20 seconds, then run up and talk to him, and bubble if necessary.

it didn't work.
the quest can't be completed if you are not in the instance's group (ie. using the free hearthstone timer)

As a warlock I used portal to skip the pat after my group refused to kill on the way there :P
