So, RIP multispec. And if you wanna try new activity... You must wait very long and complete maximally boring quests. And don`t forget there is no balance in abilities so one covenant will be much better (or worse) for one type of activity (and for different bosses in raid you can need different covenants too). Absolutely horrible system.
I would support cov change whenever you felt like it IF and ONLY if your renown when you betrayed said covenant reset to 0. You shouldn't be rewarded for being indecisive. Covenants are NOT another talent tree for you to change situationally. This is a measured and balanced approach toward allowing you to be able to change covenants when ability balancing alters why you picked a cov or using specific abilities on different lockout resets. It's not time gated, it's a function to prevent abuse, Blizz has had such a disincentive in the game for virtually ever feature or system ilsince vanilla, it really isn't that horrible. People tend to feel entitlement and want things NOW. Slow down and get over yourselves, it's OKAY people, you and your characters will still survive just fine. Stop being whiny about it.
Welp guess if I want to play different specs or roles thats a big middle finger to me. Better do my week long chores to swap to my dungeon set up when I'm done raiding rofl.I mean uh... I'm sure this is a "minority problem" a majority of players totally love sticking to one covenant and one role for a entire patch/expansion life time. Only min-maxers want to have freedom of choice in builds 100% duh. Those "minority players" need to stop complaining and play how we want rather than how they want. Great changes Blizzard I love you :O
I love watching all these people cry about "not being able to be optimal" and "Blizzard is taking away our choice."Play the game the way the devs meant it to be designed! In what other video game do the players demand changes so that they can play the way they want? Even more to that point, what other game gives players so much input into how the game is developed anyway?Stop freaking crying. You're all adults.
So... there a Feat of Strength to 'exalt' with all the covenants on one character similar to the Scyers and Aldor in TBC? :P
Just give us an options for different covenants for different specs. And it will be ok. Right now it looks like a grind just for the grind.
Just make covenents flavor. Seriously it's trash that paladins need to go Ravenloft, the LEAST paladin like faction. I WANT to go Bastion since there's you know real LORE reason to pick that one, but I'm stuck with both the skills (There's only one good one for paily, at least ret/prot) and the worst lore. HATE it.
Week 1 I changed covenants to from kyrian to nightfae then immediately started the quest to go back kyrian. Week 2 I capped renown on nightfae then turned in quest to go back kyrian and capped renown but now night fae will not give me the quest to start to switch back immediately.
I made a swap of covenants that I now regret. I had no idea that I already had a covenant in Revendreth, and WoW doesn't do a very good job explaning it, or who to go to to get it back. I supose I'll find out that the previous work I've accomplished has disappeared, and I now have to reaccomplish it. I'm now in Orbos and looking for the one who can get me back in, and it's not clear who it is that I need.
