And in other news water is wet and min/maxing turists are completly dumbfounded by it as well.
The replies for Alliance are so out of touch. I've played both Ally and Horde (and mainly Alliance), and yikes, you guys are insanely disconnected. If it was so simple to just reroll Alliance, trust us, we would, except that means letting go, or forcing almost entire guilds to let go of their gold, their T3, their character progress, all for shorter queue times?
How come the Horde population have been steadily increasing while the Alliance population are declining? This is a self-inflicted Horde problem, and now they want devs to solve it for them? The solution is easy: Everyone and their mothers must stop rolling new Horde PvP chars! But do you take the responsibility? Of course not, you would rather have that Blood Elf Paladin and hour-long queue rather than playing on the lesser faction, Your ignorance shall be your punishment.
TBC blows a fatty, bring in fresh vanilla servers already.
No mention of the broken honour gains for the first couple of days, meaning those who could also got 75k honour ready for gear. Honestly merc mode is the stopgap right now. Those crying “just reroll”- what happens when the faction balance is flipped? Same problem. I’ve no issues with some changes, as long s they’re for the betterment of the players, and that’s exactly what merc mode is.
TBC has a faction balance issue. When given the choice, people will play horde. Horde had the better PvP racials in Classic. Well now they also have the best PvE racials. With how much people care about parsing and all the hunter rerolling, just Orc bonuses alone are out of this world for raiding. We had the benefit of the Allliance being a dominant PvE faction in Classic, which going into TBC put a limit to how many were willing to reroll and lose all their hard earned stuff. The boost made it easier to reroll, and most new boostees went Horde and contributed to the future imbalance. Therefore, no, Merc mode is NOT the solution. It will make the problem even worse. The horde BG queues are the only thing preventing the faction splits to get into 30/70 territory. The solution is what has been done on TBC pirate servers forever: faction queues. Too many Horde on your server? Horde players start getting queues. Free transfers opened for Horde only to more balanced or even Alliance favored servers. Or roll Alliance :)
Wtf is wrong with you people? Oh you have been playing horde literally since vanilla and know all the flight paths throughout the world, all the quest hubs, know the city layouts like the back of your hand and where all the vendors and important NPCs are not to mention liking the aesthetic better etc and want to continue playing horde?Oh you're a PVPer and you get discouraged by hour long Q times and just want to play the game to keep chipping away at an already lengthy honor grind?"Mald more scrub QQ ez waah cry more just play alliance bro you ARE the problem bro you're not ENTITLED to gear or to play the faction you want sit in your hour eots Q then get rekt by our full instaQ premade lmao no changes even tho it's almost a month into the game I'm still lvl 68 and suck at the game and please stop camping me while I level :("^^ this kinda mindset, the kind you'll find up and down this comment section, is PRECISELY why I DONT play alliance. Its like there's something in the water over there in stormwind. How dare us like our preferred race/faction/racial! How dare us think hour long BG Qs are excessive! How dare ANYONE suggest ANY solution for an issue that makes an already long time commitment increased 10-fold for only one group of the player base! How dare you suggest this is GAME problem and not a player problem! Grow up. Nobody likes waiting in hour long lines, especially when you pretty much can't do anything else in the game while you wait aside from random world content.Or keep acting like children, I actually don't care.
I don't play Classic at all. Played for a few hours then thought "Wow. I was really willing to put up with this back in college?" (Granted, it swung too far in the other direction later). But this is BOTH a player and a game problem. Game because one faction has statistically much better racials so people who don't care about story will choose that one, causing an imbalance. Player because they chose the majority faction then got mad when it caused problems. Way back in Cata, I knew I couldn't do Tol'Borad (Tol'Brad?) on my Horde characters because it was a majority Horde server and getting into the queue was impossible if I didn't manage in the first 10 seconds or so (not hyperbole). My Alliance characters? I could queue while the BG was going on and get in no problem. (Didn't pvp in BC. I'd just started playing and was in college, didn't have the time)But here we are with all this "MuH fAcTiOn PrIdE!" and "HoRdE tEaRs" by both sides contributing nothing.Nostalgia filters: "X was better". Then you get X and maybe it's still great (maybe not) but you're reminded of all those problems you'd completely forgotten about. Whether it's being stuck with ground mounts until hitting level cap or imbalanced racials or queue times or that your favorite ability doesn't exist yet. So I say: Choose a lane. Do you want the whole #nochanges for everything or do you want quality of life changes that aren't how things were in the game, but might give you that idealized version of the game that exists in your memories?
Ally get to Q full premades, all in discord, meanwhile if I try to Q with 1 or 2 other people we pretty much guarantee hour Qs for ourselves. And obviously horde has plenty of crappy people, but anecdotally it seems like the drop rate of A-hole alliance players is increased by at least 1000%. There must be a hidden proc chance increase for A-Holeism when you roll ally. You have people in these comments talking about AFK'ing or throwing if they get Merc mode horde in their BGs... I seriously hope to God you guys are actually children... Because if you're adults and that's how you act, in a GAME...These are probably the same people that if Asmongold came out on stream today and said Merc mode is good for the game they'd be back in here tomorrow defending Merc mode.
nothing quite like waking up in the morning and reading 11 pages of salty alliance players thinking they are the only ones entitled to short queues and this is the "price we pay" for being horde. Ignoring the fact that this is bad for everyone, less competition in bgs, arenas, longer arena queues and an overall decrease in player participation in tbc as a whole, not to mention the open world ganking horde has to do to even hit the 4k honor mark after 7 hours :).I don't play horde for the racials, I'm a UD warrior, I play here because my friends are here, am I not entitled to have fun in the game? do I have to sit 1 hour in queue to meet a full alliance premade stomping us leaving us with 25 honor? I might aswell go kill 2 lvl 62 alliance players questing in helfire for the same amount. You don't have to answer btw, I know what you will say- it's blatantly obvious from these 11 pages how short-sighted and petty most of the outspoken alliance players are.
So if Blizzard offered free faction xfers for you and your guildies/buddies, would you take it? Shorter queues, no need to wpvp farm, pretty sweet deal.
You actually have brain damage. I love how you leave the most busted 2s racial - Perception - out of the equation and cry about war stomp ? Calm down mr perma 1200 trash.
In a #$%^in' heartbeat.
