prot paladins are unironically on this list? lol
The Ashtongue Talisman of Insight is actually bugged for mages. So change the guide.
Great article, i too support warlocks getting it first.
Removed article as it assumes Mages are staying arcane for the rest of the expansion. You literally go fire the moment you get 4/5 T6 so this entire guide not only wrong but completely missed the point on mages.
Thats one of the most cool-headed and proper articles on loot prio on wowhead. Even with bugged talisman for mages, when its get fixed, they have a lot more options for trinket than spriest and warlock with boomie. As always loot should go based on how useful to the raid it is as a whole and a reward for people that commit to the guild. If you're in the guild that will give skull to whatever class just because its "that class" and not the grey-parsing player, then you should pick better guild, not class
Arcane has already been simmed to be better the entire t6 all the way through to sunwell, so your information is wrong. Fights are just too quick with modern day DPS for fire to be meaningful. If you are in a noob guild then maybe fire is better, but arcane cooldowns are just too for short fights.

This is warlock propaganda. Fire is 600 dps behind arcane in full p3 bis and way more expensive. Maybe you haven’t actually simmed the specs? Frost is actually simming better in p3 bis than fire believe it or not. Lmao
If it gets fixed*. There has been no response from blizz afaik. So from a ST perspective, ashtongue currently has lost 50% of its value and mages have a lot better argument on skull now.
Can someone help me understand how GCD is a factor in this discussion for Ele Shaman? AFAIK our rotation is not GCD locked unless our cast times happened to get under a 1s cast time, which I don't believe is possible. Am I missing something? I'm not disagreeing with being low prio, I just didn't imagine it being due to GCD limitations.
Mages aren’t switching to fire at all this expansion
is only good if you assume that it stays active 100%, only works on undead.
Post written by a warlock main, and WoWheads warlock class writer FYI.
You are forgetting the huge stress on healers that arcane mages take and SWP will make this much worse. Healers will likely need innervates and the shadow priest or mana tide. An arcane mage is nothing without these things.
