wow... gogo Blingtron 6k!
So glad Ion isn't in this one. Will still get the canned responses: "We agree x could be better, we messed up there." "We have some exciting things coming up for you all soon™."
I don't like to bash Blizz but it does seem like they don't have any idea about how the economy of gathering vs crafting actually works.
"We like how Nomi turned out""its hard to make something rare if its not rare allready"Aaand I'm out of this stream.
I dont know if this is a bug or not, but currently, I do NOT have the hidden artifact skin for my holy paladin unlocked, yet I DO have the one for the protection spec paladin. I don't know if it is for every class, but if you have the hidden artifact skin on one spec, with one of the alternate color schemes for it, it will "unlock" the other hidden artifact skins, but only in the color you unlocked on the other one. idk if its a bug or intended.
Sigh. If 3 stars weren't required to finish leveling the profession he might have a point, but when, say like Leatherworking, you have an 800 required recipe that took you a lot of time and frustration to acquire, and you can't get to 800 without 3 star recipes, that's a disconnected view of how the game works.
i get that it unlocks it across the board, but i dont have the hidden skins for either ret(since i dont play ret nor care) or for holy, yet i have those skins unlocked to where i can use them, just not the original color of the skin.
Another factor in high mat and low crafted cost, is people crafting a ton of stuff to get rank ups, and having no use for what they crafted.
i personally don't mind the prof quests sending you to dungeons (and I'm speaking having leveled 3 alch toons)what I find annoying is the 25 quest limit, when you have like 5 to 6 dungeon quests for 3 to 4 different dungeons you're basically forced to complete them then and there or your questing flow is all sorts of messed up as you juggle abandoning certain missions just to fit being able to grab all the quest in your immediate questing areablizzard really need to bring their quest system into the 21st century and think about divorcing them into separate categories with their own limitas for the forge... i haven't even unlocked that for my main ha, I refuse to pay several thousand gold for something that I probably won't use
*sigh* Blizzard still fundamentally misunderstands why professions are garbage this expansion. Materials are not more expensive due to garrisons being gone. They are more expensive because every recipe requires a STUPID number of them to make AND garrisons are gone. Here's my issue with Leatherworking. Everything I can make was already garbage by the time I learned the recipe. In order to make it mildly less garbage, I need to craft a bunch of useless stuff I don't want and destroy it, spending a huge number of mats to bring it in line with gear I can just get from dungeons, raids and world quests. Which is also the source of said recipes in many cases. This is assuming I paid the ridiculous prices to unlock the forge (which I did, for some reason... Don't ask me why). Why would I ever bother with such a system?
I don't mind doing dungeons and PVP to get my level 3 recipes. I've come to deal with Blizzards sickening love of RNG as a method to get things.I really hate that I'll have to go into Mythics and RBGs to get level 3 for some of them. I'll grind LFR all day long to get one stupid piece of thing I need, but asking me to actually have to do rated level content with strangers is just to much for my anxiety to handle. I'm garbage at PVP. I'm not much better at PVE. I do DPS because I can't handle being the tank or healer because I just get stressed out.At this rate, I probably won't get my level 3 engineering gear/Suramar progression until I can solo Court Of Stars next expansion. And anything that takes RBGs, probably never. And that just seems like a horrible choice for Blizzard to make. Putting special boss fights and mounts for high end raiders, I can understand. Putting mostly worthless profession recipes behind that kind of gate just seems dumb.
Less of a desire in Legion to go on an endless archaeology grind; But its fine for almost every other thing good job
To bad there isn't a reward for getting your primary professions to 800. I'm 788 in JC with the mage neck yellow till 790, costs about 10k gold in mats to craft one plus 5 bloods. So beyond what I've already spent, 300-400k more gold and I'm finally done with it. Why not gate the cool recipes behind gold/mythic dungeons/rbg/raids and let people get to 800 cheaper?
If you want to watch the video for yourself here's a link that skips all the "starting soon".https://www.twitch.tv/warcraft/v/114254239?t=11m17s
Too bad Blingtronn 6000 is expensive AF to craft... Not many people got one. I've opened only 6 or 7 blingtrons since Legion came out.
Ah, guys, just wondering... When we will see anything about Christmas promo? I know you've been working a lot but I'm too hyped for a mischief at least. (:
