It is another example that, programmers puts static value in most items, then with squishes they must rewrite massive amount of static values instead of making a variable. High possibility of making an oversight and this takes much more time which could be used to balance classes and maybe faster changes in some of their mechanics to make them more enjoyable to play. Wasn't same issue with drowning mana pool in duels after squish or party sync in legion/ bfa while in duel at lower lvl players had negative mana regen value?
Small indie company btw
You often see QQers sprouting that fun detected meme because their unintentionally OP items was taken away, or getting suspended for severely abusing it.Remember that AP exploit from legion where a fast AP giving worldquest did not reset? I remember seeing news of some exploiters racking up millions of AP from it, and claiming 'that since it was in the live game, then it wasnt an exploit'.And wow is such a huge and ancient game now, its impossible to find and fix everything before a new update goes live.
Just like how for the BFA prepatch the BiS back enchant was a BC enchant that gave +17 main stat over the +9 from legion post squish. I know something like this would have to happen.
The Mechagon punchcards are pretty op as well :)
**FUN DETECTED - BLIZZARD SMASH**
Well since you at it trying to be that deep in to the rabbit whole then make a news post out of1. being able to obtain heart of azeroth on level 10 by running lfd with someone who has the neck and then trading azerite gear to your low level to trigger the neck quest by relogin in boralus.2. Items from end quests of every leveling legion zone having broken ilevel.3. wod garrison missions rewarding broken ilevel.4. wod assault rare mobs droping broken ilevel.5. People who socketed broken ilevel relics from legion dungens in first days of pre patch still having +15 ilevel relics x2 in their weapons at level 10.6. Outland Blade's Edge Mountains gems from invasion having broken stats. All of this have to be retroactively fixed by force re scale items. But why anyone would want to be a snitch like that.Who would ever would want to show everyone the incompetence of blizzard entertainment. Hmm. I don't know.
The only realistic "fix" would be to make the gems unable to be inserted into items over ilvl 50.These gems are BoP, not a guaranteed drop, and can only be attempted once per day due to the heroic lockout. If anything else, they need to buff the BfA gems.
There's also the misnomer that "QA Missed the bug" stuff sits in DBs for years sometimes reported, but never fixed. It's not QA's job to fix a bug, just report it, if it's not fixed that's not QA's fault.
It's been hotfixed. Gems are now "properly" scaled.
To be fair they should have been fixed a long time ago. They are just difficult to farm since they come from Heroic dungeons which are once and day and are not 100% drop rates.
Also nerfed the Whitemend set which also hurts herald of the titans people.
i am actually going insane trying to figure out how this being nerfed is "ruining fun" like what is wrong with this playerbase
Here come the fun police. Bee Ooo Bee Ooo.
I would really like if Blizzard wouldn't nerf these gems. I spent a very long time farming Tanzanites for my Timewalking gear.
Cata rare gems are currently bugged and when socketed give +1/+1 in ilvl 35 items instead of the +2/+2 they’re supposed to give. Wish that would get fixed for people like me preparing to do herald :/
They were all nerfed. I did every BC 5 man the last 2 days and had a ton of them in my inventory. Logging in a few minutes ago and literally all of them are 2/2 or 1/1.
Oh, boo! Was fun while it lasted.
well, that pretty much kills any want for me to do TBC dungeons any more. These were the best gems to use in various socketed gear for Timewalking. Not to mention the SoO heirloom weapons (which are FINALLY useable on low level characters) because they didn't have an iLevel restriction. They serve no purpose at all now.
