I hate the Tick with a passion but he is right in this case. Some of the proposed ideas are bull&*!@.Like, splitting up the company and selling it in pieces, dividing out IPs for shared purchases, etc.
And their lack of experience with the gaming industry is still smaller than the lack of basic human empathy on Bobby Kotick himself.
I'm certainly not a fan of Kotick in any sense of the word, but he has a point.In an industry that's largely dominated by money, there is no way in hell Microsoft is going to make Call of Duty an XBox exclusive and miss out on the huge chunk of cash they'd get from Sony and PlayStation Call of Duty. And the fact that these pencil pushers who are against the merger can't figure this out is almost laughable.Valve has the right of it, I reckon. Valve has had a good working relationship with Microsoft over the years, and they trust that if Microsoft says that Activision's games are going to be available to all platforms then Microsoft is going to make those games available to all platforms.The only reason other companies like Sony and NVidia are whining about the merger is because they're jealous of Microsoft potentially growing their portfolio even larger. Which is kind of stupid in Sony's case, seeing as they snapped up Bungie and Destiny 2 almost as soon as Microsoft announced their plans to acquire Activision.

I like how it's fine for Sony to bribe studios so they don't release games on Xbox but not for Microsoft to buy studios, even though it's only the former that is done with the explicit aim to prevent your competitor from having access to those games.Sony are also actually allowed to make good quality games that can be the selling point of their platform, but no just throw money at studios so they don't compete that is better....
