TFW you remember Activision exists.
That's a buzzfed video...........
Yep, I can't tell if this is a coincidence or intended, but the same week the Fortune rankings came out on where to work, Blizzard made their own recruitment video and collaborated with Buzzfeed also on a work-related video. I think they're all related in some way, so I grouped them together into this article.
Now if only customer support actually did something for once instead of jabbering and mumbling the obvious, I'd recognize their meaning to the game.
So in the top 100 for happy employees supposedly.8 out of 10 hits on google's first page and a majority of hits on the next three pages - must have spent a bit of that cash to pump up the buzz. Now the question to ask is how are they rated in customer satisfaction?Five pages in on Google and nothing? This does not bode well, given the bloated egos dictating what is fun for us - yeah, PvE players just LOVE having to deal with permanent or short timer timed PvP zones and CRZ with PvP realms.I darn well irks me to no end that I get yanked into a PvP realm whenever I try and do world quests with random groups. It looks like some have discovered this little "feature" to curb stomp unfortunates from PvE Realms. Oh what fun.Too bad we can't reciprocate to the senior devs in the real world since it has been clearly established that they don't actually play this game. That is something fully beneath them and they already know how it plays out in their heads.
Smart business, they knew it was coming so that riding the buzz off the Forbes article.
Was #65, but it got ninjalooted. XD
Who cares, how about some new content instead of crap about where you screw off all day
Well if you only look at what passes for conversation in the open channels then you can't fault someone for thinking that. And as for joining a guild that has community - it is far harder to find one than one would think.@Sakera - I said irked, as in annoyed. I can and do create my own groups most times but here is the question - why CRZ between PvE and PvP?Simple question with no simple answer from our end except pure speculation.Unless the DEVs can actually answer that question without coming across as they have in the recent past there will be no answers. As to the hyperbole? Well my statement is more an observation based on the actions and words of the devs.I ask you this - What kind of person who actually played with the great unwashed masses would make statement like this group has?Mind you I am using an unfair to them benchmark based on the previous teams. There is something happening with the culture over there. What, I hazard to guess. I only know my industry and things don't always relate one to one.Is this big push and hullabaloo about new hires and how great they are just gilding the Lilly for the management types?Question for those with more business savvy but is there any way to find out if the churn rate has changed in any way since this latest senior dev team came together?
It really depends a lot on your position, but that applies to the majority on the list, years in the company are also a bonus. I know people who worked in Google and left after a year, money was fine but roles are so specific and there was no chance of being promoted or rotating to another team. Some 'senior engineers' weren't friendly at all during probation either.
Makes sense, it'll be a while before I get there.
