Both Druids and Rogues gain energy back at a rate of 1 energy every .1 seconds (or 10 energy every 1 second). Your average Rogue should actually gain energy a little
faster
than a Druid because of all the energy regen talents we have access to.
I can't imagine what you're seeing unless you're just mistaken or the unit frames between your two characters aren't configured the same.

No, they don't. Your testing is wrong/flawed.

During the pre-WotLK patch, Echoes of Doom, Energy bars (and Mana) were updated to show a smoother constant regen pattern compared to the previous "tick" style they previously had (the same kind of animation health still uses). I always thought it was a universal change for anyone that used Energy and Mana, but maybe not.
The literal regen rate is still the same for everyone so it's more of an aesthetics thing I guess.

Uh, technically, if you are regen'ing 20/2 seconds (the old rate), that is a different rate than 1/.1 seconds, the current rate. Both still work out to 20 energy every 2 seconds, and yet they are different. 3+1 = 4, 2+2 = 4.
But they still regenerate energy diffrently.
If this is your way of saying "because rogues have alternate sources of energy returns (such as talents and heartpierce)" then you are technically correct. But the base formula is the same, so the way you chose to word your "conclusion" is confusing.
