You can't expect bigger bags just because you want to carry too much stuff. Get yourself to the bank to store some things.
What next, 50 slot bags with trailers for our mounts?

People who don't understand having space problems are people who don't collect stuff (wether usefull or seasonal or gimmick or whatever) or who don't understand what playing as a hybrid means (ie i'm ready to switch playstyles if there's a need and i have a minimum of gear to not have to start from 0).
And who's to say that collecting those are bad ? Blizzard puts them in the game after all, they are as much worth it as anything else.
My main has a full set of 22 bags for himself and for all the bank slot. My bank is full, my bags usually have 16-20 spaces free.
Things i could relocate but keep in bank because it's a pain to transfer each time:
- enchanting mats + eternals (1 bag)
- food + flasks (1.5 bags)
Things i can't relocate and keep in bank :
- PvP gear (3 sets for my 3 specs, though only one is worth something)
- feral cat gear
- older sets and items with sentimental value (T3 helm, T2/T4/T5/T7 sets, Rein of Misery, Onyxia ring and cloack, ...)
- 3-4 bags of seasonnal items, quest or event drops, aquired over 5 years of playing and some of which will never drop again.
On the main :
- healing gear, moonkin gear, tank gear (with some alt items depending on circumstances for most of these, for example 4T7 tank healing and 4T8 raid healing), 2 bags and a half (could be worse, i don't have a trash moonkin set at the moment)
- consumables, crafting items (enchanting rod), teleports to places i go reasonnably often (1 bag).
While a number of those are indeed debatable (though i personally consider that yes, i do need all that), i do fear the seasonal item inflation as those are the ones i'm never going to throw away. I'm gratefull for all those new shiny things being added, but 3 bags already and more coming (a new brewfest stein, a new christmas present, new items for Pilgrim's Bounty, ...), there will be a point where no amount of optimisation is going to allow to store them all.

I have 4 sets (shadow, pve discipline, pvp discipline, and a lvl 60 set a la anathema 8/8 prophecy etc) and I do collect stuff on my main: seasonal attire, halloween wands, coins of ancestry (why idk..lol), several fishing poles, Halaa tokens etc etc. The trick is to not carry around ALL your stuff with you at all times. For instance I leave gems for icy prisms/jc dailies, meat for cooking dailies and other stuff like that in the bank. Since the turn ins for all that stuff are in Dalaran anyways, you can easily stop off by the bank to grab what you need since it's only once a day. Do you really need 3/4 of a (I assume 32 slot) mining bag with you at all times?
I feel that having 22 slot bags except for your original backpack should provide about enough space for a level 80. If you need more you probably should sift through the stuff and ask yourself: how often do I use it and does that number justify carrying it in my main bags?
Also, sell off some of your crap and buy a Traveler's Tundra mammoth. When I farmed a lot back in the day I used to have to destroy stuff eventually because I didn't wanna break the flow of farming to visit a vendor. The mammoth over the months I've had it probably bought itself by allowing me to vendor items instead of destroying. Besides reagents/waters/crafting mats ANYTIME/ANYWHERE don't hurt either.
