This enchant is not worth the materials. Even if you have multiple of these going at the same time, it's taking up enchant spaces that could be better used elsewhere.

It was difficult to tell in my party, but it looked like the proc DID produce healing aggro for our tank using the enchant. That was helpful, but it's still not worth taking this over all other enchants.

This is a great enchant. I am currently using 2x1.80 speed daggers and have this chant on both weapons. I am running with a 5v5 arena team and it is simply awsome. In a standard game i do over 7k healing to my party. Remember this is uninteruptable healing and comes from you dps'ing which lets face it, in an arena, thats all you are going to be doing.

As for raiding this chant seems pointless, Stats are a better booster for a rogue, I would suggest Mongoose or 15 agils.

This enchant appears to have a range on it. I healed for 81k over an entire shadow lab run with 2 rogues a dps paladin and a regular paladin healing. The next run I healed the entire party for a total of 21k with a mage, hunter, holy paladin and rogue. I would say the range is about 5-10 yards, as the ranged players got FAR less total healing than me or the rogue. It procs about once every 25-30 swings on my 2.00 speed millinum blade. Worth the enchant in my book, of course depending on how much materials cost on your server. I spent about 200G for all the materials on mine.

My friend ran into a group of mobs to agro them, I then beat on one. When it the proc happened all the mobs started attacking me.

I'm pretty sure this is a proc per minute like fiery or other weapon enchants so the weapon speed is meaningless. Also +healing won't effect just like it doesn't effect crusader.

The enchant is wonderful. Averages 2.1 proc/min for me, as well as usually doing around 8% of the healing in my usualy 5-man group. It usually out-heals out shammy off-healer.

I just enchanted my MH last night with it...
I have the chance to try it on Karazhan and on Heroic.
What i have to say is FOR NO reason enchant a weapon with this enchant... Its really bad... The proc rate is awfull,like once per 5 Minutes for me... And no i am not joking now. I use a 1.8 MH and i have Slice and Dice all the time up,and on both runs i even have Windfurry...

I am SOOOO dissapointed from it,and frankly i dont understand why ppl above said that it procs often,maybe they are enchanters and want to sell it idk...

Well Blizzard SHOULD really buff this ,cause atm its useless 100%. Even 2 set Tier 3 Heals for A LOT MORE. Even crusader heal yourself for MORE.

Oh and it doesnt have any glow....

This enchant is incredible. I'm a protection-spec tank, and got this enchant on my Vindicator's Brand just before a run through Shattered Halls last night. I did 15% of the group's healing and all of the heals count for threat also.

Well worth it to me.

I find it EXTREMLY hard to believe that you did 15% of the grp healing... You propably count earth shield/prayer of mending... Also as someone posted doesnt really generate aggro,and even if it does its too low anyway to care. But with a proc once every 5 mins ,or in arenas once every 5 games who cares about it.

A guildy said that it was nerfed in the last minor patch, and that it used to be a HoT and now it's a straight heal but he has no idea if any of the threat mechanics of it were changed.

As a lvl 70 Port spec Warrior, I have this on my MH FireGuard Sword, (1.6 speed) and while i don't notice it going off a lot, I do run damage meters, and with this as my only healing ability I usually do about 5-9% of the group healing during groups. When I am out of group, I see roughly random, but 2-3 procs per minute on it. It isn't going to replace a healer, but it does the job, and if I run, say some lowly instance like ZF, It will heal me enough that I almost don't ever have to heal , un less I get like 8 mobs on me at a time, then I still only get down to 1/2 health. I have a theory that it has different proc rate on different level mobs, like for 70+elite mobs, maybe it porcs less.

ok, i am an enchanter on Mug'thol, this enchant, and its counter part spell surge are going for 1.8k+ gold, and i paid for the thing, having seen it in effect, AND how many people want this enchant, i was in a group farming heroic ramparts and blood furnace for 8 hours just yesterday, and i have damage meters, threat meters, mods out the ears for raiding and such, and this does have a crusader-like proc rating and yes it causes threat, for those of you saying it doesnt proc and doesnt cause threat, get new info. on a tank it isnt a great enchant compared to stuff thats out there, but for a DPS melee class (rogue, enh shaman etc.) its wonderful with a fast attack speed can make trash pulls a heal free ordeal with the proc going off enough to keep everyone alive, but i do think this is a much better pvp then pve enchant. might be a must have for thsoe 25 mans tho

I just cant understand why formula says: "Use: Teaches you how to permanently enchant a weapon to give a chance on striking to heal your party of 50 damage over 10 seconds." and enchant u learn from it sais: "Permanently enchant a Melee Weapon to occasionally heal nearby party members of 180 to 300 health when an enemy is struck. Important to note:

All these people reporting that they did 15% or 10% of their 5-man group's healing are probably ignoring Prayer of Mending. PoM counts as healing done by the person it heals, just like battlemaster. As the person above who posted their log showed, only 8.6% of his own healing (which was only 25% of the group's healing) was from this enchant. Other sources include pots, trinkets, bandages, and other things. But the big one people don't always know about is Prayer of Mending. Just mouse over your name on Damage Meters and you'll see that most of that healing you did was in fact NOT the Battlemaster enchant.

A guildy of mine, after reading this page, decided to get the encahnt and has been disappointed. I think it's misleading to people to have all these comments about "I can do 10% of my group's healing now!" To be honest, I think the effect is pretty minimal in terms of actual reliable healing. As a tank, I'd recommend you get Mongoose if you can afford it.

I have been completely underwhelmed by this enchant. Bought it 3 days ago for my lvl 39 twink rogue thinking that this would make a huge difference in the battlegrounds, seeing as it is an end-game enchant and would allow me to help heal our party. After looking through the combat logs for 3 days of battlegrounds, I noticed why i wasn't noticing a difference in the battlegrounds. The proc rate on this enchant seems to be nearly nill.

Just as a comparison, the poison that i had applied (which has a 20% proc rate) procced on average 45 times per battleground. This enchant procced on average once per battleground, healing me and anyone within 10 yards of me for 200-300. Based on the information I have gathered the proc rate is approximately 1 proc/225 hits (on my 1.90 speer dagger) and will only heal party memebers within 10 yards.

In other words, it basically did nothing but waste my 450 gold.

I am an OT in my guild and I wantted to do something extra in raids with heal and threat by getting this enchant. But I slayed half of Terokkar Forest and I got only one proc. Seriously ONE. I can also say it didn't proc in whole our Magtheridon trials for almost 4 hours.

I also sent tickets to GMs. They just say that it procs, and they tested it. I linked my sword which is King's Defender and they said they will send a bug report to see if the sword itself has something to fix.

Stay away from this enchant, at least wait for a patch or something.

Did some testing, and found that the proc rate is roughly 1 PPM (Procs Per Minute). Over 20 minutes and 2 seconds, it procced exactly 20 times.

In a previous test, it procced 9 times in 13 minutes and 46 seconds.

In the second, 20 minute test I hit 2502 times, and missed 44 times, for a total of 2546 swings. So even if the enchant was Chance on Hit, the chance would be about .1% which simply isn't the case.

Test was done with a 70 rogue on the invincible Servants in Blasted Lands. Slice and Dice was kept up all the time, and every two minutes I would use Blade Flurry and the Abacus of Violent odds, with just breaks to bandage and apply poisons once in a while.

Hope this helps your decision to buy this enchant.

If you're a tank in Karazhan / Gruul's Lair gear or higher, get Mongoose over this enchant. Your threat generation should be high enough already and 120 agility is around +4% dodge, and procs quite often from what I've seen.

Did some testing. 52 sword spec rogue, bloodrazor in MH (fiery). Used procwatch and sws to count procs over 1,000 attacks (per procwatch).

Offhand: Hanzo with battlemaster:
190 2 fiery procs
11 Battlemaster procs for ~2500 healing

Offhand: thrash blade with lifestealing:
232 fiery procs (dunno why the higher rate here, it is in MH so maybe i got off more special attacks)
96 lifesteal procs for about 2800 healing (plus dmg)
10 thrash procs (extra attack from thrash blade)

I wanted to try this enchant out to see if it was useful for grinding, perhaps delivering more healing than lifestealing.

My conclusions:

1) Lifestealing > battlemaster for solo'ing unless the proc rate is level dependent.

2) I can't see how this would be that useful in pve instancing for a dps class. In most cases, the heals would be overheals assuming the tank is the only one taking dmg.

3) I can't see using this enchant for pvp. Even if MH chant procs were 4x more frequent, the healing benefit is minimal when considered against stam and burst dmg.

4) I suppose it could help a pally tank, but i would expect mongoose to be more effective at dmg mitigation for both pallies and warriors.

So unless Blizzard changes the proc rate, I'd advise everyone to avoid this chant in favor of lifestealing (if you're on a budget) or mongoose.

It does threat, what means, it's good for tanks. In same time, tank will make some healing for others and gain threat for himself.

The threat caused by a player that proccs Battlemaster healing someone, is the same as a healer would for the same ammount (before calculating any types of buffs or debuffs to threat).

Also worthy of note is that threat from healing only happens when HP has been actually healed. It does not take place when it's overhealing.

So if you have a fight where only the tank is usually taking damage, a Battlemaster procc will be even less useful since only the tank is getting some healing and threat from it.

If it hasn't been said before, healing done by you also includes healing from Earth Shield.

This is a great enchant to be used by raiding rogues, warriors or shaman, but it's only going to be worth it if at least 2 or 3 of them use it at the same time. On many occasions it can be a life saver.

The actual problem is the fact that no rogue will ever want to reduce his DPS for survivability, but then it's their problem if they die, not mine.

Okay I tried this out, after reading a very detailed post about how this enchant, on paper is more threat/tps for a tank than mongoose.

I will say that I was NOT impressed with this enchant on my weapon. It does not proc often, and did not generate much threat if any. The healing was minor, and if the group doesnt need healing it does not count towards threat (Im using Blazeguard as my weapon)

So for a prot warrior, I dont suggest getting this enchant - try Executioner or Mongoose

Personally, I think I may be one of the few tanks on my server who use this, but Its the only enchant I have ever had on my kings defender. I dont know that the Threat is generates is a selling point, I enjoy the heals it does give out.

it has helped me in many situations: Soloing, farming lower instances, even keeping a group alive in a heroic while the healer was dead.

I have never agreed that it was a useless enchant for a tank, nor do I agree with the mongoose/executioner enchants. I dont have a problem with people using em, and im not gonna go to war with someone who doesnt, I just beleive that its the tanks individual choice based on what he/she feels most comfortable with.

Ide much rather have something more effective for the raid, like Exe for TPS, and goose for avoidance, than something that makes you better at heroics and farming. If you enchant, enchant for the raid.

Well have anyone tryied it with KTM or something? To actually get some numbers. Cause if you feel the threat or you don't feel the threat, doesnt really matter to me at all, if the threatmeter tells different.

So anyone tryied it? Else im gonna get it, calculate with comparing sunders etc. and go post the result here.

Also some say the heal it does, aint right from the tool tip. Are you sure you didnt have a debuff? Or buff? So that the healing done on you is decreased or increased.

The bladespire raptors are dispersed and in the middle of a bunch of ogres, it's slow going at best, and annoying at worst when the ogres add and you need to kill them unnecessarily. That being said, after 200 kills the enchant has not dropped... compare it to the 5 kills it took for the major spellpower to drop, I'm not thrilled about no inherent silver, no netherweave, VT drops... run shattered halls if you want this enchant to be yours.

As everyone has said, it's very useful if it exists on enough peoples' weapons.

Also... according to the people of Thottbot, they say the proc rate is just under the proc rate of Fiery Weapon enchant, which procs VERY often. Which means, this enchant is insane for a tank's group! :O

I wonder if the enchant can stack if I were to dualweild it? If not, I'd probally use Battlemaster + Crusader for my combo. :D

How would 5 rogues with duel wielding weapons be any better than 5 warriors with 4.00 attack speed weaponz? Blizzard usualy normalizes the proc rate so it happens more often on slower weapons, so its kind of like a dps system, except the "dps" (proc rate) is based off the weapons speed. (If you still dont get it I basicly mean a weapon that has a 4.0 attack speed will proc 2 times as often per hit than a 2.0 weapon, so they have the same proc rate realy)

In regards to your questions.

I can't verify the glow (mine is on a weapon that already has a glow)
The proc rate seems low, but not horribly low.
Haven't tested in an environment involving threat.

As a raiding enhancement shaman I am overall quite happy with this buff and will be keeping it on all my dual wield weapons at all times. As a personaly buff it is quite average, however when you take into account it is healing 900-1500 health every proc it's a decent addition. This allows me to offer more to my group, in line with shadowpriest vampiric embrace.

While I can't be sure, I had a situation with two procs at once where it appeared that it procced off windfury. Meaning for a shaman, between flurry and windfury, you can proc it enough to make it worthwhile.

I've had this on my rogue now for a while to find out the stuff for my self.
I can confirm that it causes NO THREAT.

PROC rate is sorta hard to say, i've had it not proc in 3-4 mobs, and i have had it proc 5 times on one trash mob..

GLOW since the content patch is a sparkly glow.

And the reaction from ppl when they get a message showing the rogue healing em:P

In a raid group where you stick 5 meleers together, having one of them DW'ing this enchant, proccing every few hits, I can see this being quite useful. Taking alot of strain off a healer. Give it to an Enhancement Shaman, if ya wanna! He'll damage and heal at the same time... Like a little Shadow Priest-wanna be. :P /wink

Dropped in Heroic Slave Pens off the first few trash pulls. When I learned it the enchanting tooltip says it periodically heals party members for 180 to 300 health points chance on melee hit. No idea how often it procs as I haven't enchanted it yet.

I put this on my rogue's offhand, it procs often enough for him to consistantly have 5-7% of the heals in a five man (without bandaging). On both weapons, he'd likely have between 10 and 12%. Think about that: It's like having a shadow priest who can sap and stun and doesn't need mana.

This is huge for heroics, as healing becomes much more difficult when mobs do three times as much damage.

But no, it doesn't glow. So I guess you should stick with your "All-Powerful" Fiery that doesn't even work on level 70s, but looks kinda cool.

1.2 procs per minute (actual results, I had the haste from CS & KS and also SnD as well as hemorage to increase the actual procs per minute)

I tested this without an offhand (so procwatch wouldn't flood the hits with my offhand attacks) and with 7.6% hit against mana and water elementals lev69-71. So I didn't miss at all really, and I can't think of anything those elementals do to skew the results.

I don't know if this is meant to be a straight percentage or a procs per minute (I'm thinking procs per minute), so when I gather up the primal waters, I'm going to enchant my vindicator's brand with this as well and test that too (2.6 speed sword).

But sadly, it's looking to be meant for very few procs per minute and I'd rather have the 15 agility... :(

I am a rogue on Lightbringer.

I recently enchanted this on my Reflex Blades and Stormreaver Warblades. I'm not really all that great with the math theorycrafting or whatnot, but I can say this.

One of my guildies had recap running.

The procs from said blades with battlemaster on both healed for about 47K in a full Botanica (reg) run. Recap set the proc rate at about 36%.

This run took about 1.5 hours to complete.

I run with blade flurry and S&D; when possible...not to mention the set bonus that gives haste on cheap shot and kidney shot.

Well heres the thing. I got this on my Vindicators Brand, and started testing it right away with proc meters. I found that when fighting non elite mobs, for example mobs found in the world, The proc rate REALLY sucks, about 1% of the time it will proc. I was pretty disappointed, but figured I'd keep testing it. I then ran Heroic Steam Vaults, and the proc rate jumped to ~25%, putting me at about 10-12% of total healing. The only person in my group that had his dmg/heals displayed on screen was the healer, so I asked him to come within 10 yards of me while I was dpsing. The healer said it was going off about every 1.5-2mins, sometimes 2-3 times in a minute. The proc meter I am using can be found at http://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/downloads/addons/combat/procmeter/

The problem I see with this enchant is everyone is testing it on easily killed mobs (non elites, normal instance mobs) I think the point of this enchant is to get alot of your DPSers to get atleast 1, and then get in a 25 man raid, this is where you'll see a HUGE boost in procs, and the number of ppl healed.

I am still testing this enchant, and if it continues to perform in heroic instances as it has, I'll get a second one. Our Priest CL thinks that the enchant is already well worth it, but more so for a tank than a rogue(i'm a rogue) and I kind of tend to agree. Now if it were chance on hit it would be better for a rogue, but I'm pretty sure its Proc Per Minute. I will upload some screen shots of the proc meter in the next couple days, and dmg meters that show the amount of healing that battle master has done.

You are correct, it is for only the people in your immediate party. I think I may have gotten ahead of myself. My intention was to say that if you got a bunch of rogues in a raid, and spread them out over the raid with this enchant it would be awesome. As for the Proc Per Minute(ppm) I've noticed the same thing, with the odd 2-3 in a minute. It does help in maintaining aggro, and I've noticed that I've had to Feint a lot more since getting this. It is most likely better for a tank than a Rogue.

My real question is if this healing aura would be increased by +healing or not. To my knowledge I've not seen anyone comment on this or not. Would be interesting to find out though. If you were to throw this on a few Ret pallies that had moderate +healing gear, could be interesting.

Since last patch this has procced crazy for me, i Dual Wield it and i get ALOT more than 1 a minute i would strongly reccomend this for alot of DPS as with this insane proc rate i seem to be getting it takes alot of healing off of you and more onto tanks, also saves alot of Bandages :P Bandaging=Time...Time=Dps, like i say i would strongly reccomend this since you can grind the waters extremely easy and grind money for the other mats.

Rogue" I put this on my off hand Gladiator fist wep and i found if you do alot of instances this is by far the best enchnat for melee. Like most of the ppl have said already you do about 8-10% of total healing in a 5 man instance, its nice as a rogue to see all those heals go off :) makes you feel more useful. I personaly cant wait to get another good wep to put on my main hand, Rogue off healer ftw

To the people who say this enchant is great for tanks because of the additional agro, think about it. It heals your group of five people for between 180 to 300 each. Let's be generous and assume that all 5 people in the group are within range of the spell effect and each receives an average heal of 240 health.

That's a total of approximately 1,200 health, or roughly half of the effect of the average level 70 priest's Renew spell. Factor in healing's 0.5 threat ratio when compared to threat from damage and then spread that threat out between several mobs (in this case, we'll say three) and you start to realize that the amount of threat this enchant generates is minimal at best. Certainly not worth factoring into the decision of whether to get this enchant for it's threat generating capabilities.

It would be far better to get Mongoose enchanted on your tanking weapon as it will give you increased threat through more crits, and less damage taken due to higher Dodge, which means less healing needed from the healer/s (and therefore less healing threat from them).

i dont know if they increased the proc rate on this or not but a friend of mine who is the main tank in a guild just got this recently and said in kara its been proccing 2-3 times per minute and crit healing him and 4 other party members for 900-1k hp which def. chagned my outlook on this chant...getting it put on today :P

I got the enchant today and surprised the enchanter with a 50g tip. He did not ask fo it but it is so hard to find an enchanter these days and it is so expensive to level the skill. I tried for a solid week to get an enchanter but most only enchant for their guilds.

A person high enough to enchant this has paid many hunderds of gold to reach that level and it is only fair for him or her to try to recover some or all of that gold. Also everyone wants a flying mount or even an epic flying mount and that is not free. There is nothing wrong with making a profit. Otherwise they do like most enchanters and ignore your enless pleas for an enchanter.

Ok that being said:

Tested it today with a shaman as a healer and did 17% of the heals. I did not think it would amount to that much to be honest, but 17% is nothing to laugh at. With a priest it would be less I am sure, still the heals helped a lot. For solo it sorta sucks. The avg of around 200 heal every minute or so is not gonna save your life honestly. The constant procs of firey would be better.

I have it on a Ced's Carver, (1.80 speed.) I have a 20 haste rating (head slot and haste on gloves) which makes my weapons speed 1.77, and I slice and dice a lot.

So I think it is worth it if you go to instances a lot. However, I cannot justify the price if you mostly solo. Firey weapon or Mongoose may be better.

That is my two cents worth. Hope this helps

Addendum
Well I found an enchanter willing to do mongoose and she said it would be 1400g if she use her mats. Battlemaster is much cheaper because you can farm most or all of the mats and just pay a tip. 50g and a little farming was nothing compaired to 1400g. Personally I think Mongoose is better for a rogue and when i have the mats and an epic dagger I will put Mongoose on it. No way I can imagine putting that enchant on anything I will toss for a better weapon :(

I just had a thought. Toss this on 3 rogues. Both weps. Bring them to Kara, put them in the Tank's group.

I will probably never try this. But, if anyone does, feel free to post the news here. I personally am wondering how much it would help if all rogues in a raid had this.

Mongoose vs Battlemaster (with an eye for tanking)

In short, get battlemaster if you want more threat on tank and less on party. Get mongoose if you want more avoidance. Generally speaking, mongoose is better for a main tank, and battlemaster for offtank.

Mongoose

1 PPM (melee) with additonal procs refreshing timer*. (~1.5 PPM with instant attacks)

15s duration and 2% attack speed buff (buff active approx 30% of the time)**

Buff gives 120 agility, which for warriors is:

240 armor (small physical mitigation)

3.64 crit bonus

4% dodge

no +AP for warriors

2% haste

more swings...

more chances at enemy reactive abilities like parry etc

NOT haste rating. dps unchanged, just faster swings.

yellow attacks reduced in dmg if based off white dmg

Battlemaster
procs "heal"(arcane spell):

180-300 heals to party/pets (~ 255 healed per player)

30 yards range.

can crit. can't overheal

1 PPM (melee)***

Does NOT create any threat.****

+spelldmg appears to help, but likely not +healing

Conclusion:
Overall mongoose is better to tank with but you will likely have smaller yellow dmg. Overall a threat generation reduction, but with 4% avoidance well worth it.

As a tank, think about what happens more frequently...
Do you loose aggro often? Other players are taking damage that will need to be healed, generating more threat on healers when they heal it. Battlemaster helps take that edge off.
Do you take so much dmg the healers can't keep up? If so get Mongoose. Consider having both enchants on different weapons and swap in combat based on situation.

Battlemaster is better as an offhand enchant since instant swings do not proc it. If you are melee dps or offtank, seriously consider battlemaster for an offhand or to offtank.

Only rogues gain attack power from mongoose generated agility, no other class does because they can't proc it in a useful form. For example, Mongoose would be perfect for a druid... if feral form could proc it. Neither do, so druids stay clear of both.

BTW If battlemaster does cause threat, paladins tanks do not cause additional threat because the heal proc is arcane, not holy and does not get multiplied. If battlemaster healed 5 targets for ~255 each, it would be equivalent threat to 1 attack by a melee dps in endgame, and does not occur often enough to make much difference. Dps should NOT be worried about pulling aggro due to battlemaster.

*Chance each hit with a weapon procs the effect is PPM * weapon speed / 60.
**Hard to calc duration % because proc refreshes the buff to 15sec rather than add 15sec to it.
***Instant attacks do not seem to boost proc rate like other 1PPM enchants. Has proc cooldown or activates on white dmg only. Either way, it's stable for all classes at 1 proc per minute regardless where it is or what attacks made.
****Consensus not reached on battlemaster threat generation. Generally believed to cause threat, however people who checked threat meters say proc swings generated same threat as normal swings. (see next post about threat)

Threat generation needs conclusive testing. Best way to conclusively test for threat generation is for a mid level melee dps use battlemaster while wearing low threat crap gear. In endgame, 1000 extra threat from a dps per minute is too hard to see.

This should pull aggro with a burst heal of 1000+hp to the party, if he doesn't, it's threatless. A downranked thunderclap or shout in stockade (then doing nothing) followed up by a melee dpsing each one down with battlemaster while 3 other party members watch (while down at least 250 hp each) should be good enough to find out for sure.

Decent enchant for a support class, like a Fury warrior or an enhance shaman, since they bring buffs and debuffs to the raid, they aren't pure DPS like a rogue. It does generate healing threat so you need to watch your threat a bit more.

Its not good for tanking that much since healing aggro is 1/2 the number of what it truely is and this doesn't proc THAT much, so Mongoose or executioner would be better for a tank (I would take Mongoose first though).

Once again, this is strictly for a support Melee class like Fury warrior or enhance shaman when raiding, much like spellsurge is for support casters like elem shamans.

You could prob sell it for more then 1000g on AH. Seen it as low as 400g, and as high as 1750, both were sold. Got mine for 1100g. It is not a very common 'chant, maybe I have seen it once a month on AH, prob less. Is it worth 1100g? Well, gold comes easy from dailys, so it's no biggie, and I want all 'chants.

You might want to consider giving it to a guildy if noone in yr guild has it, before u put it up on the AH, the 'chant will come in handy one day

Advertised this in trade channel in SW for 1000g, got about 3 or more whispers about how 'I would never sell it for that price and how much the enchant sucked' and then I put it in Ah for 1050g. Sold within the hour.

This enchant is for groups, so question. Sure, it doesn't go off that often, but in protracted fights, it adds up very fast.

What it needs is a counterpart... Combatmaster or something... that only heals you. Like Crusader without the strength increase. That way the proc rate could be significantly increased without unbalancing the enchant.

Hello, so after reading the comments out here I have decided to test this enchant on my paladin tank.
My result after 3 days of testing fit in those words : DON'T WASTE YOUR MATS ON THIS.

Why?

Because as a paladin tank the only chance this is gonna proc is by auto-attacking which means 1 proc every 49-64 auto-attack, sometimes it went even to every 84-89 auto-attack;
It doesn't scale with spell power / healing power unlike some people pretend (lowest heal with 600 spell/healing power: 150, highest: 300);
It is way more expensive than most enchant & even if you're just interested into the healing part you're gonna have way better result with the enchant 'lifestealing' or even 'crusader'! Note that both those enchant have reduced effect after lvl 60 & even with those reduced effect they will heal you WAY MORE than battlemaster ever would with auto-attacking;
The result is the same on elite & non-elite monster unlike someone pretended.
Generate 0 threat unlike someone pretended.

The only reason you might be interested into this enchant is if you're gonna do it on one of those 2 weapons : Ironfoe Flurry Axe because of the extra attack it MIGHT give a better result, I insist of the MIGHT because I tested this enchant on a regular weapon 1.9 speed Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker and had the worst result I ever had with a support enchant, it was supposed to be helpful for Heroic & Mount Hyjal but it won't be any use with those rates.

Knows that a warrior or a rogue will have WAY better result with that enchant since all their abilities are melee attack!

Also it DOES overheal.
