Just soloed this as a lvl 13 shammy. Its possible but watch your aggro. travel around the edge of Axxarien, had to use a health pot on one of the mobs.

There's an area directly behind the crystal which gently slopes down (near Deathclaw) and it is possible to jump onto this area from behind Axxarian and reach the crystal without coming anywhere near a single mob.

The part you jump on to is at 40.5, 28.8

Soloed this quest as a level 14 hunter, it's easy. Location: 40, 30. Make sure you have The Bear Necessities and Constrictor Vines, you can do them all at the same time then.

This crystal can spawn under the world and bug the quest. I got up to the boss and searched for about an hour before I found the text "Axxarien Crystal" popping up when I moused over a certain patch of ground. Unfortunately, using the mining pick did nothing.

The sample was at 41,31 and I found it to be quite simple with my level 13 Night Elf rogue. Simply stealth up the east side of the camp along the mountaintop, stay out of the camp and stay away from the satyr's, once you get a clear path, walk right up to it, double check to make sure nothing's near you and mine it. Someone spotted me as I waited for my stealth to cooldown, but I just hit sprint and booked it over the cliff. got me 1350 XP and 250 rep with Exodar.

I had an addon for coordinates, but it covered up the text in the chat window. People were trying to speak to me and I couldn't read it until it cleared the edge of the top action bar. What a royal pain that was in instances. If you know where I can find an addon that doesn't raise the action bars into the lines of text, please share!

About 40.7, 28.7 , there is path that lead up to the back of the crystal. Where you can walk/jump right up to the back with out killing anything. Thats how i did it ... Im a lvl 13 warrior.

The Final Sample

Get an Axxarian Crystal Sample using the Crystal Mining Pick on the Axxarien Crystal and bring it to Harbinger Mikolaas in Blood Watch.

Descrizione

There's just one sample remaining before I can send this set of crystals to the Exodar, <name>. The final sample must come from the satyr stronghold of Axxarien to the northwest.

I'm not certain what to expect from this crystal sample, but I'm sure there will be some signs of corruption. Take care to mine your shard from the crystal that looks like the ones you took your previous samples from, or else our researchers cannot make a valid comparison.
