As I poked up from the water, I was engaged in combat by one of the goblins. Much to my aggrivation, since I was in combat (I guess) I did not recieve the cat buff. The furball went *poff* and disappeared into the woods.

I abandoned the quest and re-accepted it from the totem. No furball. And there is no way I'm running all the way back and do this again.

The furball goes through the woods past the ruins to the Bristlelimb Village where the road ends off to the west. The totem is near the back of the camp.

should you abandon the quest for any reason, you do not need the forms to complete it (the wings, the swim speed, the panther form).

Just go to the end point, the totem . The forms and extra additions are just for fun and to speed things up, but there are no timers. Same goes if you lose the buffs.

Head west until you hit the road from the small town, it splits into a Y just take the right road and walk all the way down till you get to the furbogs or whatever they are called. once the path ends the totem is to your right. You may have to kill a couple of the agro mobs to get to totem but its very easy to do. I did it as a level 8 shaman with no problems at all.

FYI Do not click on anything when you go into cat form.. For if you do, you will have to walk it, very slowly.. Yep, I did it..

if you go out of the water and wait for the ancestor, he will transform bth you and himself into panthers, moving like 300% or something and stelathed...probably the most fun I've ever had in WoW...no lie

I got DC while the quest, and i tryed to start again but... The guide never came again.. =( I didnt get the Panther form.. *Sniff*

fallow the aquaform until you land then he will xform you in a cat and nice speed ez quest

this entire chain of quests totally rocks. very fun, and it gives you the sense of being a druid. i loved cat form :) and some people watch me swim down the river at 150% asked me what the buff was and what lvl. :P very fun, wish there was more like this

Im a lvl 70 warrior. i went down to learn furbolg. so im doing chain im on my mount im waiting for the buff... and guess what! he casted it on me and im still on the epic horse when he gives me buff so my cat buff is ontop of the horse! nothing better then a cat on a horse... trust me it those not get better!

For people that didn't get the buff, it is pretty obvious but I will say it anyways. You have to follow the guy out of the water and wait until he finishes speaking. If you take off after getting the totem you won't get it.

If you didn't get the buff it was cause you were to busy pratting around in the water with embrace of the serpent.

The markings identify another furbolg den, due west of here. You are able to expertly decipher the language on the totem and know that your destination is Bristlelimb Village.

God knows why it's such a long journey and I've lost Yor seconds after leaving the pond. When you exit the pond, go to the Odesyus Landing and follow the road leading west from the camp. There's a fork in the road, take the north one to the end.

The yellow dot completing the quest will show up ahead north from the end.

You don't have to be in "cat mode" to do this quest...just follow iteck's directions/coordinates from the first post, and you'll be able to finish the quest with no problems.

On a related note, how freakin' cool is cat mode? The very ambient music & sound effects (like something out of a Sharper Image "Sounds of the Rain Forest" cd...ha), the wavy/blurry, black-and-white "dream state" effect...the speed buff is a nice cherry on top also.

This was definitely one of the cooler quest chains I've done. Blizzard did some nice work here.

Hmm, when I go there I can't seem to find it. I lost the cat (that's what I get for chatting on IMs while playing WoW) and when I restarted it I couldn't be the cat again. Have I messed up?

The Totem of Vark can be found at loc 28,62 which is the northern end Bristlelimb Village.

Find the Totem of Vark using the clues provided to you.

You no longer see unrecognizable symbology in the totems. The totem of Yor reads to you just as easily as your native tongue.

The markings identify another furbolg den, due west of here. You are able to expertly decipher the language on the totem and know that your destination is Bristlelimb Village. Yor will guide you but if you get lost, you know that you are able to take the ancient elven road in the forest leading west to reach your destination.
