You will find his hovel at 13, 54. Inside, you'll find his little home empty. Check the fire pit and you'll see a journal. Read that to complete the quest and move onwards to the next!

You'll find the book near the chimney at 13,55.

then read the journal on the fireplace to complete quest.

The house is located south of aerie peak as stated above, journals by the fire. The next part is due east.

This quest claims to be obtained at lvl 44, however I just got it at lvl 43. I'm not sure if I could've gotten it at a lower lvl as I wasn't in the Hinterlands at lvl 42. I couldn't get it at lvl 41 though.

For ppl that may just skip to the end posts for the most recent....

If you walk away from the mail box, go to the edge of that path.. only a few feet from the mail box, (in the south direction) you can SEE the house (hovel) on your screen.

Screw cords, screw mini map, IT'S RIGHT THERE!

It's like standing by the mail box in SW asking where the bank is!

Thx for the posts so far....
I think since BC they've changed the pet into a felhunter instead of a spider.
Quest remains the same, it's the most eastern temple. coords for Featherbeard's remains: 37:71 dead on. 4050 exp / 1 G 30 S / and another chainquest: reclaiming the eggs.

Not sure of who gives the quest, but in the end you will speak to Ambassador Rualeth who is standing in front of a building at Aerie Peak. You are asked to you to Featherbeard's Hovel and check on him. His hovel is just a little ways south of Aerie Peak at 13,54 (same zone). He will not be at home and you are to search the hovel. In front of the Fireplace you will find an open book - Featherbeard's Journal. Click on it and complete the Quest. You will then be offered: Quest: In Pursuit of Featherbeard.

After you read his journal that is in front of the fireplace at Featherbeard's Hovel, your next objective is to locate Featherbeard as part of the quest In Persuit of Featherbeard. Unfortunately he is dead...you can find his corpse in Shadra'Alor at the top of the eastern most temple. Solo killing the mobs up there at 46 was a cake walk. His corpse is up there on the alter itself.

Once you find his corpse, it starts another quest to find 5 of the missing eggs. See the quest Reclaiming The Eggs for further info. Hope this helps.

Shadra'Alor is in the SW corner of the Hinterlands. Go in (Two Trolls & Spider at entrance)and straight to the top of the first temple on your right. Kill the three trolls at the top and investigate the corpse...

Simple Quest

First of all the little hut is at (13,55), just go in the hut..down the stairs..and there should be a fireplace of the left top corner..there's a journal in front of the fireplace..read it finish quest!..Done :)

the hovel is easy to find, its south of AP, theres a little path which leeds from the main road to the hovel. u need to look at the jurnel and the fire place, it gives u a quest to find his body which is South East, on the map it is where the mountians first stick out in a northen direction, in a trol emcampment with temples he is in the 1 on the left at the top.
not 2 far away, tho loads of trols.

Go to Featherbeard's Hovel and visit the dwarf if he is at home. If he is not at home, search for evidence of where he can be found.

Featherbeard is revered among his people, both for his legendary gryphon training skills and for his wisdom. If anyone can sway Falstad Wildhammer, it is he.

I would go to see him myself, except that I cannot leave the confines of Aerie Peak while awaiting my audience. Visit Featherbeard at his residence to the south and ask if he will speak with me.
