To get to the area to do the defilement, you'll have to kill a 58 Elite: High Priest Thel'danis. He is quite easy to kill, but note that on a PvE server this will also flag you PvP.

If you are a priest, just pop a shield when she attacks you so you wont get interrupted while defiling the tomb. If she dispells the shield just put a new one up. Then you dont have to kill her and wont get pvp active.

watch out cause when you kill the priest outside uthers tomb you ll be in pvp after.if horde it would be tricky to escape from allies wandering at sorrow hill

09.09.2007, he was an easy lvl 58 (non elite).

Extremely easily soloed as a fire mage.

In order to complete the quest, you have to go in front of the statue, and equip the of hand an use it.

You can do this as priest without actually killing the Night Elf. Just bubble, and use the offhand item. (It's best to wait to do it until he patrols behind the statue.) And hope your shield doesnt break.

Was Uther the Lightbringer not a Dwarf in Warcraft 3? I would've swore he was a dwarf yet when you defile his statue his spirit is represented as either a human or a very tall dwarf.

Had no problems as level 57 BM Hunter, the alliance priest was easy just long as he kept healing. Pvp wise i only ran into one level 58 mage ... not sure if he wasn't paying attention to the game or what but he was easier than the NPC priest.

This is not a difficult quest at all, but if you kill the priest on a PvE server make sure you don't get ganked by any Alliance on the way out. It must have gone up on Local Defense, because a couple of lvl 70s turned up almost immediately.

soloed with my 60 druid snuck past the priest while it pated out and did the deed had to run on the way out but was never flagged

I clicked the offhander and didnt realise it went to offhand (thought it was a 'use:' item) and started to kill the priest, unfortunately, a lil level 51 noob paladin came over and tried to kill me, made short work of both of them though.

Easy quest, just watch out for meddling alliance nubs.

I did this as a 58 Rogue, no major accomplishment there. I just sapped the dude, did the deed and boogied. So, while I did get flagged, no alarms went off.
I snuck down from the Writhing Haunt and crossed the river. It was just past Sorrow Hill.

easy qwest, did as a 55 fire mage, polymorphed the priest but escaped from poly in 6 seconds, then i killed him

Not much PVP to this. As soon as you approach the tomb you run into a priest in the tomb which when attacked turns on PVP. If there are any alliance around, they will sure to be a pain. Very easy quest to complete

Really easy quest, after you complete the first part just go to Sorrow Hill next to the alliance Flight Path in WPL. There you will find Uhter's Thomb.
No PvP at all , just a lv58 Priest Non Elite walking around thomb, just kill him no big deal. Really nice "350" reputation with Silvermoon City.

the name of a member of the argent dawn
Usually see Uther as a great hero, why would one
of em want his tomb defiled?

stupid alliance jumped me after i killed off the Priest NPC
wasn't too worried as the hunter seemed like a n00b till i realized i wasn't doing any dmg to him
didn't realize why until after i died and saw that I still had the stupid mark equiped :(

Go to Western Plaguelands at 52,83 (Uther's Tomb).
There is a lvl 58 guaring the entrance. Equip the offhander, and keep the NPC bissy with sheep, pet or anything. Go to the Statue and click the offhander.
If one from the group clicks, everyone in the group gets the quest complete.

So awful that after a quest such as this we see "Uther" in the Shadowlands. The story since WoD is garbage at best.

Defile Uther's Tomb and return to Mehlar Dawnblade at the Bulwark in the Western Plaguelands.

There, that's better. I've added a little fel magic to it.

Now, you must take it to his resting place in the Western Plaguelands. Use the corrupted holy symbol in the presence of Uther's statue to defile his tomb! You'll have to get close for it to work.

To find the tomb go southeast of the Ruins of Andorhal. Return to me when the deed is done.
