This is one of the random quests given by Dispatch Commander Metz in exchange for a Argent Dawn Valor Token. The awards are used to buy items from the Argent Dawn; but they require a high number of the insignias.

Root quest: Craftsman's Writ.

These are the following quests that can be obtain by doing the root quest:

Now that the Burning Crusade Expansion is out most people will skip these quests. It is recommended by most to skip it unless there is an item you want from an Argent Dawn vendor that requires the award(s).

Brightcloth Pants are made by Tailors! To make you'll need 6 Bolts of Runecloth, 4 Gold Bars, 1 Ironweb Spider Silk, 1 Rune Thread :). It only takes 290 tailoring so it shouldn't be too hard to find someone to make it for you, and the pattern itself only costs about 2-4g on the AH.

6 Bolt Of Runecloth: about 6-12g (sometimes only 4g) for all 6 bolts.

4 Gold Bars: about 2-4g for all 4 bars.

1 Ironweb Spider Silk: about 2g (or less! If your lucky)

1 Runethread: Can be bought from a vendor that sells Tailoring goods. Only about 40s, maybe less.

Found this Writ in the AH cheap and picked it up out of curiosity. Level 58, but still only Neutral with Argent Dawn.

"You don't meet the requirements for that quest."

Do you have to be Friendly with AD to take it? Or is there some other prereq?

Great post by oldefarr! I couldn't figure out where he was referring to for the air elementals. I kept looking back behind in the mountains. The coords are 20,18. Go there and kill the Dust Stormers. Generally levels 55-56.
