You get bones from killing various types of undead, I only seem to get them from undead the in the western plague lands, but I will keep looking.

It drops off skeleton mobs level 50+. Felstone field in wester plaguelands is a great place to farm them.

You can find them from the undead guys in Sorrow Hill.

About 1/2 drop rate.

They were dropping off the undeads in Andorhal

These drop of SKELETON type undead only - Not off spectres/horrors/flayers and the like.

A good place to farm for them is Andoral in WPL, since there is a large number of lower lvl skeletons there, which respawn quite quickly.

Oh, and the semi bosses (55-56 elite) that appear inside the towers in Andoral will drop 2-3 bone fragments each.

I am yet to find out if this quest is repeatable...

... but will know soon.

Since I saw this quest here on Thottbot and noticed I had well over 30 bone fragments anyway, I head over to visit this Assassin. However, when I speak to him we will not give up his quest. He just says things like "This title is misleading, I'm a really nice guy once you get to know me." Arg, then give me your quest! Take my bones and give me the reward!

So, what are the requirements to receive this quest. I want to cash in on my bones :)

Bone Fragments are used for a quest in EPL called "Bonescythe Digs". After you collected 30 Bone Fragments you turn them in for a Insignia of the Crusade.

The Bone Fragments drops off Undeads in Scholomance, Stratholme and all over WPL/EPL.

The quest itself requires Friendly reputation with Argent Dawn to get.

I was able to get over to the chapel at lvl 51 ( died looking for it and get rezed in the graveyard there, nice bonus) at the time i did not have a friendly rep with AD yet and there were no quest givers with ANY visable "!" except the repeatable scourgestone NPC. I later came back after hitting friendly at lvl 54 and there were a TON of NPCs with "!" now but they were all grey. I had over 60 Bone Fragments with me but the turn in NPC, Rohan the assasin, would not give the quest, so there must be a lvl requirement. Please post otherwise if you have been able to turn in the fragments and you are below 60. You also should be getting 200+ rep with AD the first time you do this.

after grinding the sceletals in WPL to get to frriendly i had over 150 of these, so it's deffinately the best way to get the insignias.
then trips to BRD netted the dark iron scraps now all i need is higher rep to make the epix cheeper wrt insignias needed and i'm off, this and the dark iron scraps are deffo the easyest and cheepest way of doing the epix armor quests.

i farm like 200 on 3h im a lvl 55 mage, i kill like 7 to 10 mobs at one time . only AOE ice barrier , and a little more

okay, so there seems to be some confusion and debate over the requirements for this quest. it SAYS 60, but thats not possible, somone mentioned earlier that the got them at 57 and thought that was the minimum. I got friendly at 55 and was able to get this quest, and the savage frond/dark iron scraps/crypt fiend parts/elements ones. this would lead to the conclussion that the only requirement is friendly with AD, no matter the level.

honestly though, none of it is worth it for me (hunter). most of the gear you get, arent worth the huge amount of time and boredom (except maybe for priest/mages). the nice part though is that these things sell for 30s-50s each on the AH, and if you wait and sell them in big stacks you can get big gold for them. do what im doing: save them up while you're grinding, and if you stay in feralas/ungoro/plaguelands/burning steppes you'll have enough to get you half way to fast mount by the time you're 60.

With which faction does this increase rep? Argent Dawn?

I was hoping this would increase rep with the Scarlet Crusade. I'd like to eventually go into Hearthglen and Tyr's Hand without getting attacked...

You must be level 55 to get this quest.
You must be FRIENDLY with Argent Dawn to get this quest.

You must meet BOTH qualifiers to get this quest and the others like it.

Quest description: Go kill a lot of skeletons.

I'm lvl 57 and I'm having a hard time finding quests other than the many instances, dungeons, etc... which just take too long, imo.

The quests in EPL feel like work and that's not what I'm playing a game for.

I am a 57 hunter and the requirments for this quest are you need to have the Agent Dawn friendly. Once done you can do all the insignea quests available. And it is easy xp aswell. Quest is repeatable and i find this quest is the easiest way to get the insignia. They drop the most at Anderhol as there are more skeleton types there, and they are lower level if you want to farm it.

I am not sure if if it is my bad luck or they fixed the game to do so but i couldn't get them todrop anywhere but EPL...

I dont think it matters about the lvl, It took me 10kills to get 1. I dont know if its just my luck or its bad drop rate.

Fastest way to farm bone Fragmens is to fly back Chillwind Camp in WESTERN Plaguelands and run into town Ruins of Andorhal. There are lots of Skeletans lvl 55-58 all over the area. Drop rate is 30-40%.

After collecting the items heartstone/fly/run back to Light's Hope Chapel and complite guest.

Remember: Item is only dropped by SKELETALS.

You can buy the fragments at the AH. I got half of mine there and then killed the skeletons for the rest. I know it's cheating, but it sure saves time.

At level 55 and friendly with Argent Dawn, inside the Light's Hope Chapel in Eastern Plaguelands, you can start the rep grind by getting the quest Bonescythe Digs from Rohan the Assassin. Turning in the initial 30 Bone Fragments will get you the following rewards:

+1,000 Argent Dawn Reputation
9,550 experience
Insignia of the Crusade

After the initial quest, you can continue turning in 30 Bone Fragments using the quest Bone Fragments. Each one of these turn ins will get you the following rewards:

Don Julio's Bonescythe armor pattern requires bone fragments - a lot of bone fragments. While those crazy enough to venture into Naxxramas provide me with enough of the core materials to make the armor, I'm always looking for more Scourge bone fragments.

So what do you think? Interested in getting your hands dirty and destroying some Scourge at the same time? It's a win-win situation.
