The Stormwind Seasoning Herbs are kind of hard to find. If you head to Old Town from the Trade District but turn right before you cross the bridge you should see it.
Its at the very end of the lane. Loc 65, 60.

The lean wolf flank drops off the Black Ravagers and can be found just south of The Twilight Grove (The big circle area in the middle of the map).

The Stormwind Seasoning Herbs are purchased from Felicia Gump <Herbalism Supplier> in the Stormwind shop, Fragrant Flowers. Yes, thats inside the city of Stormwind. The loc of the shop is 65.6,60.0. For those who can't do locs, that's on the other side of the wall from the ramp to the griffin master, to the Northeast.

I suggest that you do "wolves on our heels" quest at the same time which also requires you to kill wolves (it's a level 21 or 22ish quest - gray for my last char that did it and he was 28) You can pick it up in the NW corner if Duskwood (not the town but the territory) On the Duskwood map it's at approx 7,34. If you are below lvl 22 or so I might recommend that you go to Ellwin forest and swim across the river to get there - the mobs there are lvl 20 and 21 but there are some nasties in between the town and there, especially if you run across that elite pat (I think his name is Morbid Bane or something like that) by the Ravenwood cemetary - not to mention ganking horde.

One quick note, the Flower Shop faces the Canal. If you turn left instead of right into the shop, be prepared to go swimming.

pretty much any wolf in the zone drops this... for me it was like 1 in 7...

thats including the ones along the shore line between Duskwood/Westfal and Duskwood/Redridge...

not to mention the black wolves near the worgen.

yeah it do...just make sure you're on the canal side of the wall. It's actually the flower shop. The guy on the right sells it, not the one on the left.

To start this quest, you need to have Journeyman Cooking, which can be obtained after getting level 50 Cooking Skill.

I don't believe you need to have cooking skill 50... at least as of 6-24-08 because I am pretty sure I didn't and I had the quest. I only leveled my cooking today and I had the quest several days ago. My cooking was so low I made the bread stuff you need the simple flour for. So my skill was really low.

However there IS some sort of prequal...maybe cooking in general?... my friend can't get it but his cooking is 45...we will test the lev 50 theory. To be cont....

experience for it, at level 23.

Also rewarded +100 rep (Stormwind faction)

So this recipe is unavailable to the Horde? I got some Lean Wolf Flanks off some worgs in Silverpine, but if this is the only way to get the recipe then it's vendor as usual I suppose. =/

Which is just off the water between old town and trade district, you may see a large portal gate (to no where) over the water, the shop is to the right (if you're facing south).

Was given this quest and completed this evening at level 19. Not sure if the level 25 you are listing here is a recommended quest level or the level at which the quest is available. If the latter is the case the information posted with the quest description is incorrect.

Is there some kind of a pre-req for this quest? I can't seem to get it on my second character. I remember doing it on the first character I made but I didn't think I had a pre-req. Lvl 21 and he won't give me the quest...

Perhaps it has a certain level of cooking involved before they give out the quest, rather than level.

i remember doing this quest on my hunter and my rogue back in the day, but now, on an alt it seems like its gone. wondering if im just unlucky or if this thing's been removed

This quest is available at level 18. I gathered the meat with a high level character, bought the spice, and mailed it to my smaller character so the stuff was waiting for me right there in the mailbox outside the Inn. It rewarded 2000 exp and 100 rep with Stormwind. I checked to see if it was available at level 17 and it was not.

Boobunny is correct. Her directions are good and the spice is available in the flower shop (go figure) from the vender on the right as you enter.

Most (not all) Cooking recipes on the Alliance side are sold by Kendor Kabonka. The Horde do not have a corresponding NPC, so if you are an Alliance character wanting to create an alt on the opposite side to obtain the recipes for your main, unfortunately you'll have to have a level appropriate character to do the quests to obtain some of these recipes.

All of the recipes except one (Plans: Orcish War Leggings) can be traded cross-faction on the neutral AH.
