This quest was a freaking pain. The mobs are stupidly placed together, you'll find yourself aggroing 2-3 on accident. Fade does absolutly nothing.

Did it at a level 10 priest.

Soloed as a lvl 10 warlock with a Voidwalker minion. Quick and easy. Stood next to the NPC and used the Voidwalker to pull & tank. Never aggro'd more than 2 at a time.

Easy way to make soul shards :)

These things are super sensitive!You can be at a fair distance from any of them and if you kill one another will come out of nowhere

dont know if its just me but im stealthing round the ether fiends and they follow me round never stopping looking at me but never atking me, until i get closer to them. its impossible to get behind them, anyone else getting this?

Relatively easy as a lvl 8 mage with a little help from a lvl 8 rogue who was hanging around.

I completely agree with what Venkman7 said. Not so much the mana serpents, but the ether fiends are very very very sensitive. You'll be busy killing one, and two or three more will pop up from nowhere. After handing the quest back in I had to die 4 or 5 times just to get out of the area.

Definitely one to group on, just in case.

While you're here, keep a lookout for Eldinarcus, a level 11 elite Elemental. He's a voidwalker model, so he should be easy to pick out from the others. :)

It's horrible, I tell you! Strange things happening in the spire, the magister and his apprentices run off, and then the next thing that you know, the whole grounds are overrun with these magical beasties! And who told Wyllithen? No one, that's who!

<class>, you've got to help me clear some of these things out... I cannot maintain the grounds while these 'anomalies' are running amok!
