You'd be best to get to this pylon by going around the rim counter-clockwise, or north to west. I am level 50 (made 51 soon after) and was riding my mount straight across from east to west. There are MASSIVE amounts of level 53-54 "dinosaurs" the closer you get to the western edge.Fortunately I could outrun them. They are as thick there as cockroaches! Since the pylon is up in the edge of the rim, it would have been easier had I just traveled that way.

Please listen carefully. Find the large lake on the western side. From the little upside down "u" shape, the little curve in the bottom of the lake, follow that point directly eastward until you hit the side of the crater. There is a way to go upwards there and the pylon is up there.

I made this q alone, at lvl 49. I prowled to the place where they were, and i hibernated the beasts, so i could make it. Then i just Travelform away. Very easy for druids. (I dont know if it is for others too).

I did as this took northern next one i took west 2 of those flying thing dinoasuars was there:) cant remember name died there ressed at GY at the eastern Pylon took it went to refuge and flyed to TB for buying a mithril casin!:)

The Western Pylon seems to be the hardest since it is near the high level mobs. At lvl 49 I still can't reach and, sadly, I think I'm going to have to corpse crawl. Anywho it is very close to the tent with the research supplies for the Expedition Salvation quest so if you find that you're very close.

The easiest way to reach the western pylon if you are below level 51 is to stick as close to the hills as possible, and approach the areas from the north.

I managed to get from the refuge to the pylon with only 3 fights.

It is sorda hiding. Don't go all the way up the canyon. When the canyon opens turn a sharp left. It's a HUGE blue crystal.

Not hard to find, but definitely the hardest to get to if you take the wrong approach like I did (lvl 52 holy paladin). I did the three pylons in this order: north, east, west - circling the whole crater. I strongly recommend approaching the western one from the north, along the foot of the cliffs as others have mentioned. Don't try to approach from the south or southeast unless you enjoy being jumped by lvl 53 and 54 elites or 2-3 lvl 55s (or both types at once) and killed repeatedly. I died three times traveling thru the southern part of the crater, reached the pylon and returned to the refuge along the northward route with no problems at all.

don't worry about the locations, just head for the most eastern part of the map and head up into the mountains. there are a few passageways that lead into the mountains, but aim for the one almost dead centre. the pylon cannot be missed.

Okay, figured I'd post all 3 coords right here. I'll put them on all of the west, east and north quests to help more people.

Hi everyone - I found all of the pylons at the coordinates. Now all the quests are marked 'complete' in my quest log. So - what do I need to do now? Do I turn them into someone?

Sorry to be a 'no brainer' here.

Crystal ward = Red/green 10 each => 6x"Inc armor on target by 200 for 30min"

Crystal Yield = Red/Blue 10 each => 6x"Dec armor on target by 200 for 2min"

There's a large lake shaped like an L. Head west on the south side of that lake to reach it. (monsters here 54-55 so be careful)

My experiments so far have not yielded any positive results, <name>. I can't help but hope that you can find a solution by searching for one of the pylons that I have heard exist.

Perhaps if we combine certain colors at them... but I get ahead of myself. Let's find them first!

<name>, search the western area of the crater; a pylon is said to be somewhere in that area.
