It is highly recommended that the player accept all of the Westfall zone quests that they can once they have this quest, as there are a number of quests which can be completed at the same time as this one either through killing the same mobs or by killing mobs in between the various locations.

The murloc eyes are arguably the most difficult part to get - any murlocs along the coast can drop them, with drop rates increasing as you head south along the coast. Bear in mind that as the drop rate increases, so does the level of the mobs you're going to have to kill.

If you run out of bag space mid-quest and return to sell off some junk, SELL CAREFULLY. Every item here WILL sell to a vendor and if you're not careful, you'll end up having to re-farm everything for it.

**Important!** While farming the Okra from the reapers, save the hops for a quest turn-in at Grimbooze Thunderbrew! He'll give you a Keg of Thunderbrew Lager, which is a quest item for Dry Times, a quest in Darkshire. This is a great way to save time later, just remember - don't sell it or drink (all) of it!

You have to admit that Murky is pretty cute.

And really, who doesn't enjoy the visceral pleasure of wading through a murloc village, killing everything that moves, and stealing all that pitiful junk they so carefully ensconce in their treasure chests? I love the murloc treasure chests. Sometimes you get a pearl or something but usually its the WoW equivalent of the crap your six-year-old brother keeps in a shoebox under his bed.

Anyway, the Westfall Stew quest is pretty cool and recipe alone is worth the time it takes to complete the quest.

This is probably one of the worst quests in terms of drop rates and rewards(item wize, especially if you're a mage). Try to double quest this, do goretusk livers while trying to get your snouts, get okras while doing the killing fields quest, try to get captian sanders quest while killing murlocs. I can't really think of stuff for those lean voltures however. Hopefully this'll make things seem less like grinding.

At first i had major problem finding the murlock eyes. But when i went to Longshore i found 3 in a row! so, its a tip, try Longshore for murlock eyes

The fleshrippers that dropped the most for me were around 60,45 in westfall.. maybe that'll help?

Stringy Vulture Meat: from any fleshrippers flying around Westfall. Not a common drop.

Murloc Eyes: from murlocs along the coast. That means you much go to the beach! Murloc levels vary. It's also nice to grab the quests given at the lighthouse since you're gonna be killing murlocs anyway.

Goretusk Snouts: From piggies in Westfall.

Okra: From Harvest Watchers & Golems in the farms.

The vultures are flat out evil. Damn hard to kill for this lvl 13 noob. But prev posters are dead on right.. this is a quest best done while working on OTHER quests. 'scuse me for bailing, but I need to go kill some Murlocs (now that I know where to find them.. thanks gang!)

this is an easy quest- drops not so bad- hell, youre in westfall anyways for a while, so it will pay off. i wouldn't go out and focus on just this quest- you're going to be killing stuff regardless, so you'll more come in items by chance than deliberately. that's how i did it. the murlocs down by the ocean (36, 21, or about) drops were quick- done with the murloc eyes in under 10 minutes. you return the quest at 56,30.

if you dont want to go to all the trouble of grinding and searching for all the quest items just ask everyone you can..i asked one person for the murloc eyes and i got them for 5silver a pop so 15silver..it was much easier

Is an annoying quest. I think you will notice with the first four quests in westfall though that blizzard deliberately made them to grind you up a couple of levels so they do require a bit of patience.

wow this quest is so easy if u know what to do. Just go to an AH and they have murloc eyes, sometimes you can get okras or vulture meat. Have not seen the snouts in it at all, but they always have eyes for only like 1s a piece. The meat get from the vulture things, the snouts i did while also looking for livers for the liverpie. The okras drop like 40% of the time from the harvesting machines. Done in like 10-15 min

To save from grinding, buy the stuff at AH >.<

Just watch out for the Murloc Coast Runners on this one.

I had 3 of them run into a battle I was having and suddenly it was 4 against 1!

Pick the Murlocs off at the edge if you're below lev 15.

Needed is four items (Loot)

1. Stringy Vulture Meat (3): This can be found from "Vultures", I had good loots around "Saledean's Farm" on the other side of the road.

2. Murloc Eye (3): These can be found from "Murlocs". I found Murlocs behind "The Jansen Stead" Just keep going straight behind Jeasen's and you will find yourself at a shore/beach. Beware, a Murloc of level 19 roams around, keep an eye out on your levels.

3. Goretusk Snout (3): These can be found from "Goretusk" which are the pig looking ones. I found good loots north right up above "Sentinel Hill".

4. Okra (3): These can be found from "Harvest Golem's" which are the Mechines that roam around in the fields. I had great loots from the ones in the fields next to "Saledean's Farm". Had no problem getting them once I figured out where to find them.

There are three problems with the Westfall Stew.
1) It takes 3 ingredients to make.
2) It doesn't give a Well Fed +stat bonus.
3) It doesn't regen life as fast as bandages.

I always complete this quest and always ask myself why I did it. If you're going to be killing the Goretusks, you'll be getting a few Boar Ribs, which can be used to make Dry Pork Ribs (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=2687/dry-pork-ribs), which requires just +5 more cooking skill, gives Well Fed +stat bonus, and also comes from a trainer and not a quest.

Granted there are more ingredients needed for this recipe, but most of the other level 5 recipes create items that only grant 61 or 243 health over 21 secs. This stew restores health more than twice as fast. Not bad for a lowbie recipe.

The droprate for Stringy Vulture Meat cant be correct, i mean, i had to kill 13 Young Fleshripper to get ONE.

First off, this is the most pointless, and boring quest in the whole game if you just started quit! If your half way at least complete and get your xp points for it!

Stringy Vulture Meat - The flying birds
Goretusk Snout - Goretusks, becarefull on what ones you get. there are two different types.
Murloc Eyes - Murlocs (I have found that they are best at 53,13 Just north of The Jansen Stead
Okra - Dropped by the Harvest Watchers in the fields

After you collect everything, return to 55,31 Saldean's Farm

There are level 11-14 Murlocs on the northern shore of Westfall, that are easier to kill than the ones in the south.

As soon as you cross the bridge from Forest's Edge, go north to the beach.

Most of these drops are obvious. Who knows if it'll change before live. But..

Hated this quest... drop rates were so low I wasn't even sure I was hunting the right creatures to get them. In fact.. from lvl 12 when I started this, I reached lvl 14 ending it. Drop rates just sucked so bad... Blizzard GIVE CREATURES ORGANS!

I'm wasn't a big fan of Westfall Stu's solo work, prior to Westfall Stu and the Shadow Brothers. That all changed when Shimmering Flats came out. That first album with the Shadow Brothers hits like nothing else. I've probably listened to Old Gazer 100 times and still put it on occasionally when I want to relax with a nice glass of Dalaran Noir.

Definitely a classic band, and I'd still recommend their early work for listeners new to the genre -- it holds up, trust me.

For the horde: I can confirm two drops of Westfall stew came from the gnolls there. Just go to any of their camps and it should drop within 5 minutes. Good luck!
