Once you read the book you will notice 3 crystals. When I destroyed the first two an infernal appeared each time. On the 3rd crystal I destroyed a Bloodelf Gaurd appeared and just before you kill him he will call for Magus to help. She will appear then kill her and loot the head. You will have to turn in the quest back at the Flight Path in Azshara. This will lead to the final part of the chain.

When you spawn the guard, move him away from the gazebo so that she won't aggro you while you're still fighting the guard. She's not difficult, but if you're a few levels below it might be easier to rest after the guard is dead.

The one closest to her tent is the one i did and her and her Defender appered....soloed it at 50 but i think i got lucky

The crystal she's tied to is random so posting which one popped Magus for you wont help anyone.

This quest is easily solo'd even when it comes up as too high level for you, especially if you can interrupt spellcasting. I killed her at 51 as a bloodelf rogue with very little trouble, and the quest was red to me (but she was orange, level 55). She casts fireball and frost nova, easily interruptible for me with kick, KS, arcane torrent, etc.

Not hard at all, be sure to put some frost bolt and CoC on ur bar for the Infernal tho. Done as 50 firemage, resists fts.

Solo'd as a lvl 50 Shadow Specced priest with ease.

1. Destroyed main crystal, downed Infernal
2. Destroyed one of the secondary crystals, Guard spawned - got him low and he calls for Rimtori, who then spawns (Uses same Fire spells as the Reclaimers)

Dotted the guard, AoE-feared both and killed Rimtori while guard was running around dying (:

As a hunter this is really easy, just hit the stone and a bloodelf defender will spawn(or infernal if its the wrong stone) kill the defender and when hes at low health he will spawn the caster girl. Shes really easy exept she frost novas you and ur pet often.

Solo'd as a level 50 frost mage. When she appears polymorph her, kill the guard, bandage and evocation, then summon water elemental and it's over =D

Easy quest. Kinda wierd but try every totem and one will work. A bloodguard defender will appear and then right after Magus. Shes lvl 55. Soloed it as a warlock with eze. I had no mana and my felguard owned it no problem. Any class it shud be a breeze. I was lvl 53 btw.

Just hide behind a pillar when she casts a spell so you wont take any damage ;)

Just a tip before starting this quest: prepare yourself for the worst. Just had to bash through 11 infernals before the guard spawned, and I'm sure that, seeing as it is random, it can be even more...

owh well, she was so polite to drop 2 runecloth for my efforts, so she wasn't all bad I suppose

soloed as a 49 feral druid. Bear form, time your bash to cancel her casting, then just change to human form when she frostnova, heal, change back to bear. Repeat until dead. easy as pie

It works wonders to pull the guard away from the circle. Once he dies, you go out of combat and have time to prepare for the woman. She has line-of-sight issues with the pillars, which can be used to your advantage.

Real easy to do. I soloed it as lvl 52 sword combat rogue. When you destroy the crystal it summons a lvl 51 defender. Once you get him down he calls for Magus. She is a lvl 55, but a cloth wearer. She will frost nova you then run away to nuke you. I swithced my target to her, hit sprint (I have improved sprint 2/2) blade furry, slice and dice, and took her down along with the defender with blade furry. Very easy quest for me.

Killed as an Arms Warrior with no problem. When you engage the guard, pull him away from the gazebo and you won't aggro the Lv55 Rimtori who spawns.

For an easy kill as rogue, pop Blade Flurry a few seconds after the guard appears, if you have combo points built already your Evis will take a huge chunk of her meager HP. Or in my case, crit for 1.4k and instant kill her. =o

on my first attempt i had both aggroed at the same time, and i died. After ressing i only needed to kill her, which was a peace of cake rly, didn't go down below 90%hp as 50 sub rogue. No CD's used

The worst part is it takes 60s or so for the crystals to respawn... lots of waiting every time you get the infernals.

Disappointingly easy as a 55 dual-wielding enhancement shaman. Was fortunate enough to get the right crystal thing on the first try. Killed the guard in 3 hits (not counting extra Windfury hits ;), and the Magus was simple. Just kept hitting her until she did that nova thing, waited for her to start casting, pulled her back over with an Earth Shock, dealt the killing blow. Didn't get anything but the head for loot, though. :(

WAY too easy, don't be scared by this quest. she's 55 but EASY EASY. I solo'd as a 49 druid. I lured the first guard that popped up away, killed him, ate and drank to restore back to 100% health and mana, did cat form, stealth, then pounce and a couple other DOT's. she was dead before i was past 1/2 health

Did this quest as a lv50 Mage. You may think, lv50 mage? Yeah right.. But I lost 0 health. While she was casting fireball I simply went behind a pillar and she went out of LoS, I fireballed quicker than she and I had instants. Piece o' cake! She is lv55, guard is lv51. (59,31) by the way.

Walk in the park for a 56 hunter. Read the book and attacked the crystal. Some elemental appeared and was quickly dealt with. I wasn't sure how you were supposed to find Magnus, I thought he might be in the camp or something. Anyway I was looking for the quest in the log book when another crystal spawned (maybe it was there all along but I am sure it was in the same place as the first one). Attacked that for the hell of it and the some other dude and Magnus appeared. At my level they had no chance ;-)

59-31 are co ords open the book and pick the one directly in front of you (might not always be this one)and break it a defender should appear and when he has a quarter health magus apears kill her and loot

Facing the book, I did the left pillat first. It summoned a angry infernal. Then i did the right, summoned an angry infernal. Then finally i did the center, it summong the warrior and the lady. easy at 53

Based upon what i read above, I tried the middle one and it netted the warrior then the quest target. I suggest you try the middle one first. Additionally if you pull the warrior away as stated below you can med for the named. Very easy as a 51 hunter

had trouble doing this at 52 hunter.. her guard was a piece of cake, but she kept throwing fireballs at me.. 300dmg each.. lucky a lvl60 rogue was there and finished her off in couple swipes of his blades.

This quest overly easy. I'm level 51 fire mage, and i solod this easily. Don't know why it shows up red though?

For me it was the one in front of me not to either side. If you get an elemental then you got the wrong one and the Magus does not spawn. If you get a BE Defender you got the right one and Magus will spawn shortly.

I just wanted to confirm that the stone which summons Rimtori is random. I tried the center first (as suggested) and got an elemental. Next I tried the left and got Rimtori.

This quest is just too easy. I got it right on the first crystal too . And used the same strategy as JeHutheAwesome . Lured the warrior away so i couldnt aggro the misstress. Killed the warrior and ate something to regen . After that i popped cold blood on her and critted her with with an ambush around 1100. As soon as she did frost nova i used vanish and ambushed her again . hitting her again for about 1000 . And that was all i needed to kill her.

The q is red for me too but thats just a load of crap

Just done on a 47 druid; lured two people away to aviod agro as noted and then back to finished off the chick. The location is up on the northern peninsula on a southern bluff.

Easy as a 50 rogue, pulled the guard away and killed her myself, didnt even lose too much health, so i stealth over and cheapshot rimtori and kidney shot when she frost nova'd so i didnt even need to vanish.

Not sure if there's any way of telling which crystal is which? I picked one at random and a blood elf warrior appeared. While I was killing him he called for aid and Magus Rimtori appeared. Luckily he was mostly dead so I turned my pet onto her, cast curse of tongues and blasted her with shadow bolts until she died.

Not too difficult for a 53 warlock to solo.

That B#$% only got 2 shots off b4 I downed her ass. The pulling of the warrior worked like a charm though. So I sent in pet, hit rapid fire and tore her apart. I am lvl 51 hunter and she fell like she was 2 lvls below me. The quest is red to me but that is just a scare tactic to me. Not surprise you can do this at 49. LMAO....what a joke, the mobs getting to her where harder.

Super easy. Picked the left one, thought i picked the wrong one since a different guy popped out but as i was about to kill him she popped next to him and killed her lvl 55. Done.

di dthis easy at 51 lvl hunter just layed down explosive trap summoned guard sent pet on him when he hit the trap he went down in few shots.. she was bit harder but pet has 1.3 attack speed so she had bit hard time casting took her down with 1/4 of my healt left.

Did this as a 49 priest - it was not easy but doable. She resisted me a lot esp. mind flay. Def. lure out the guard as mentioned.

The quest was red for me but I don't think that's accurate, really. Did this as a level 50 undead frost mage. Facing the book, I did the center crystal, and out came the warrior. My water ele and I killed the warrior, he died right as the lady showed up. My ele died shortly thereafter and I finished her off. I had ice barrier on when I started the fight with her, frost bolted her out the wazoo with a couple of fire blasts mixed in. 7300 exp. Woot :)

Did this as a 48 MM Hunter, very easy just kill the Defender first, then have your pet build a little agro on Magus and Rapid Fire. She was in the stone right in front of the book, not the left or right.

I also solo'd this as a 49 rogue. Kill the defender first and just run him around when she spawns so you are out of LOS of the fireball. Once you are on her do the same thing, attack untill she casts then run behind a pillar. If you are frost traped try to kidney shot her before she can move out of range or blind her if necissary. If you can prevent her from hitting you with fireballs you will be fine.

I solo'd as a lvl 51 subtlety rogue.

Shes level 55, heres what I did:

first, entered stealth, did premeditation (add 2 combo points), shadowstep (next ambush %20 extra damage, plus appear behind target) and Ambush. Now she was about half way through her health. I sinister striked her until she died.

Her crystal is the one straight on, not the left, or the right.

And I didn't even have to use poisons :)

Easy as Pie. 52 loc. Void aggroed, I dot'ed to death. Void went after her, aggroed again. She killed void, I killed her. She fired 1 300hp shot at me before she died. I chose the crystal to the left of the book.

Soloed as a 48 rogue. This is what you do:

Destroy the crystal (i took the crystal towards the water) and pull the guard away (just run down to the empty camp southwest). It's a pretty easy mob, deal with him however you want (I just Expose Armored him and SSed).

Magus Rimtori's only real threats are frost nova, followed by 350dmg fireballs. If you have Improved Sprint you can just sprint out of the first frost, the second you can just Vanish out of. If you attack really quick after your Vanish she will not regenerate any health, your Sprint should still be up so it's doable. She ought to be dead by that point as she doesnt have much health.

Both Cheap Shot, Kidney Shot and Kick work on her so she is actually quite easy. I was pretty amazed that I could solo a lvl 55 named mob as 48.

The funny part is that while I killed her in the first try, I died 3 times trying to kill the 10 Reclaimers in the pre-quest.

I think the postion is random. Two crystals will net you an infernal. The other would summon a guard and then Magus Rimtori herself.

As a 51 Warlock I figured I'd give this a shot, take a beating and come back in two levels, but the Blood Elf Warrior popped and he was easily owned. Rimtori showed up as he was dying and I cannot believe what a beating she took, threw on my dot's fast, soul fire and dead.

Yeah, I asked for help but decided to try it out before he got there. Put in a distract and started with a cheap shot. To my surprise she didn't resist alot until the end. She frost nova'd which I didn't remember from last time. Seeing though I was a hunter then. I took a fireball for bout 350. Closed the gap and started at her again kicked her on the fireball spell and hit my first eviscerate. She down to half life with me sitting at around 3/4. She hits the frost nova again and runs behind the piller to setup a fireball. Realizes she can't and runs behind me on the other side I tried a gouge when she past that missed. So she gets another fireball off. I'm almost dead she's almost dead and I need to by some time. Hit the evasion and ghostly ftw she can't hit me and I get the last eviscerate in. Nuff said, and I didn't use health pot cuz I ran out. She is a cake walk if you got know what your doing.

Did this quest as a 50 Rogue...

Basically, I chose correct the first time and lured him away from the stones, so when he summoned his master, she was too far away to aggro. After I killed him, I had lost about 800 health, so I sat down and casually ate a mushroom.

From there, I stealthed behind her, used Premeditation for 2 extra combo points, then ambushed her. She frost nova'd me really quick, but I just vanished out and cheap shotted 'er before her health started regenerating. From there, I just Sinister Strike'd and Eviscerate'd her 'till she died. She only had 2500 health... Not much for a level 55.

No idea if this is intended, but if you choose a wrong crystal and an infernal spawns, the crystals will disappear during the fight. They'll eventually reappear a bit after the fight.

Soloed as a 51 two-sword Rogue.

Summoned using the crystal nearest the sea when i stood in centre and looked out across Bay of Azshara (the crytal in front of me).

Followed the great advice above, and pulled the guard out of the circle so as not to also agro Rimtori when she appears when guard is at 30% health.

Note though - when Rimtori spawned, I also got a 52 rare spawning next to her at same time - Magister Hawkhelm.

I didn't think i'd be able to do both a 52 & a 56 at same time so waited a minute till Rimtori despawned, then killed the rare.
- The rare was a ranged attacker.
- After rare was dead I then resummoned Rimori again (used same crystal as first time), and again pulled the initial guard out of the circle before healing up, sneaking in, and Garroting Rimtori.
She froze me in place for 5 secs & backed off out of melee range - but with Instant poison on both swords she died surprisingly quickly.
- Given how quickly Rimtori died, I do now think I would have been able to kill both that 52 rare and Rimtori at the same time.

A few more moments of thought brings a few ideas to mind, one of which brings a smile to your face: perhaps destroying the crystals would upset the blood elf responsible for the slaughter of so many orcs and the betrayal of Belgrom?

You continue to decipher more of the script and pictures and realize that one of the crystals is tied to the creator of the circle--the others are tied to something far more sinister.

You close the book and begin to decide which crystal to destroy.
