A word of warning, you have to talk to the dwarf twice to get the flare gun. I didn't realize this until I'd gotten to the helipad and was frantically digging through my bags to find the ****ing thing. ^_^()

Go to The Hall Of Arms and you'll find him there ... as you go through the main entrance ... go straight on ... down a walkway ... under the place where you can join battles and he is through there on the right =]

Whatever you do don't toss the drawing kit, you need it complete the third part of the quest and get the reward >.< I destroyed mine and cant get it back, beware!

After making rubbings or copies of the arcane runes, go way far to the most south eastern side of the map of Azhara. You'll find the the lilttle makeshift helipad over there... Make sure u have all the drawings, your flaregun and drawing kit... when u use the flaregun a helicopter will appear and xiggs will come out. click on him and the quest is complete... a farely nice reward will be given a nice off hand item with +12 intellect or some plate mail boots... enjoy

The best direction your going to get =)
You'll find helipad at (The Ruined Reach) you will have to swim to it.
When you look at you map you will want to be in the lower right-hand section of the map. The helipad is inside the phallic shape border it is the shaded circle at the bottom of the map where it reads THE GREAT SEA.

Not too hard to find - it's a well-lighted island and kinda gives itself off even from a distance.

Did this quest at lvl 49 Rogue...was a pain to go threw all those higher lvls but very easy.

My main is at level 52, received 2550 Exp and 12 rep with Gnomeregan Exiles and 50 rep with IF.

Azshara is in Kalimdor, upper east coast. LOL.

When you first speak to Xiggs he'll give you a quest to acquire a flare gun in order to signal for the pickup. The thing that's easy to miss is that Xiggs is also the one who completes that quest and gives you the flare gun. You speak to Xiggs and get the quest and then immediately, without having to do anything or go anywhere, turn that quest in to Xiggs and he gives you the flare gun.

I don't feel any comments were useful especially if you don't have any addon giving coordinates.

Tymor gives you the quest with the runes and the second quest to get THE F FLARE GUN in the in the Military Ward, again be careful you have to talk to him twice to get the flare gun, check out your inventory to be sure you have it!

...Then you can head to Azshara.

Ah, so Tymor sent you, huh? Yeah, I owe him a favor or two. What's that? Why, that little devil. Yeah, I can help him out with that. So you'll need a flare gun and a location... easy enough.

There's a small island off the southern peninsula of Azshara that we've made a landing pad on. You take this flare gun, and use it there. I'll see your signal and come by to pick up this... whatever it is he wants.
