Could still not solo this as feral druid even at lvl 35. The difficulty of this quest is seriously unbalanced.

MC Gath'Ilzogg and attack the dragonkin. Try to kill it.
Break MC before Gath dies (so you can loot the quest item!), fear the adds and kill him. Profit.

I tend to find on my server (Amun Thul) that this quest can be very popular.

If you log on during a busy period then don't be surprised if you walk in to Gath's lair to find him and his party already dead, forcing you to wait for a respawn. If others are also waiting for a respawn then either agree with other's in the queue on who goes first or tag Gath quickly for your party when he respawns.

Soloable as a level 29 assasination/combat (11/9/0) rogue.

I did it this way myself:
Sneak all the way to the boss room and kill the normal mobs in the corner of that room. Then proceed to the pack at the small wooden area.

Sap Gath'Ilzogg and kill the 2 normal adds as fast as possible, it's easier if you make the dragon your focus target and kick its Flamestrikes, they deal a nice bit of damage. When you get the normal adds down kill the little dragon, he goes down fast as long as you keep interrupting its spells with kick and gouge. After you've finished with him vanish and wait for cooldowns (if you had to use a potion or similiar items), the adds take a while to spawn so you're not in a hurry. When ready just engage Gath'llzogg himself, preferrably start with a cheap shot, build up combo points. Use expose armor after 4-5 combo points and your damage against the boss should increase greatly. Then just spank him like he was a normal monster, gouge + bandage if needed. He should go down pretty fast this way.

This is the one where, if you can't find anyone to go with on this quest... @ about level 23, maybe even 21 as a rogue, I sat down and logged out in the field of where Gath was founded at, had my main kill everything BUT Gath, log out, and solo him myself with my rogue.

I solo'd with lvl 30 Hunter. Clearing the path up top was the easy part. When I got into the Gath I sent my pet in to pull full aggro. He died, but we got Gath down to half health, so both Gath and his Dragonkin came at me. I killed Gath, Dragonkin killed me, I came back, ressed me and my pet, Sent pet in for Dragonkin while I looted Gath, then we finished off the Dragon.

the wanetd poster for this guy, is on the Doorway to the Town Hall.
The other wanted poster is over by the Inn, beside the guard, and thats for Lt Fangore

If you find the new Titan panel the cords mod does work but note i had to disable every other mod that comes with it because it had conflictions with the new wow UI. But if you disable all the other mods except the actual Titan mod that is needed to work and the cords mod it will work. Hope this helps because i was frustrated when my cords disappeared too :D

He is in Stonewatch Keep at APPROXIMATELY 67,55. He is inside upstairs.

Soloed at lvl 27 with my dwarf shadow priest. Was a pain in the butt. Died 3 times. My strategy was to go in, take out a guard, and run. Then go back and do the same. Worked well. Took out the shadowcaster, then the other warrior guy, then Blaze (his pet) and then Gath'Ilzogg. I recommend having a group for this quest, or being lvl 30+.

Did this with a 31 rogue. Was able to sap Gath'Ilzogg, take out Blaze, then restore enough health to finish off Gath'Ilzogg. Not sure that the trouble was worth the 40s I got for it, but it was fun to take on solo.

Two caveats, though:

1)Don't let near-dead mobs flee. After sneaking past all the mobs until I got to Gath's floor, I took out the shadowcaster....who fled back down the stairs and aggroed the next pair of mobs, who, when nearly dead, took off and aggroed three more. At which point I died.

2) Watch out for the patrol. He comes into the room and will join the fight if you're not careful. Or lucky.

Gath'Ilzogg is in the "lord room" at the top of Stonewatch Keep. The coordinates (MetaMap/Cosmos) are 69,56

There arer lvl 20 and 22 elites outside, as a pally it was difficult to pull just one. Most of the time I had three of them on me.

1.Go east across the river, and into stonewatch keep area.

2. Go into the building.

3 Take a right, then go straight.Go into the left room, not into the room in front of you,and go up the stairs. Follow the path and take the left room.

He's up near the top of the tower, you can get in the room he is in if your careful by staying against the right wall when you walk in, and you won't pull him right away. He has two level 20 something guards with him and a flying demon pet.

Tends to be lots of horde around there so take some friends if your on a PVP server.

Soloed with a 25 draenei priest. (gravestone scepter wand) Have area cleared so fear doesn't pull adds, though they usually stick to the same room. Keep your power word shield up and line of sight Singe's fireballs. Use fear when it's up for DoT damage and leeway and you should eventually win the war of attrition with this guy. Only had to use one big heal spell so have an extra mana potion on you just in case.

Wanted! Gath'Ilzogg, Leader of the Blackrock attacks on Stonewatch Keep and raids against the township of Lakeshire.

Gath'Ilzogg is extremely dangerous. He is reportedly holed up in the recently conquered keep plotting the Blackrock clan's further crimes against humanity. The orc infestation must be quelled at all costs. A gracious reward will be given to whatever brave soul can deliver the head of Gath'Ilzogg to Magistrate Solomon.
