not too hard to find (63,29). Darn Mathers pats around the island i killed him around the back of the tents had no problems as 39 mage. Nice black glow on his sword.

A few Defias Rummagers along the shore, all were level 37.
On the island itself there were loads of 37's, but evenly spread out.

Darn Mathers does indeed path around the island.. He engaged me in combat as I was fighting his underlings..

Do this with https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=1204 as the Mudrock you need are along the same shore

I killed Garn Mathers(lvl 37), the leader, as he was walking around the camp near the back of it. I waited until he was around the point (65,27) and I only had to fight him, so it was very easy.

Easy solo, lvl 36 pali. tops coords spot on.

When I did this quest he only dropped for whomever looted his corpse. We had to kill him a second time for the other group member.

Easy for lvl 36 hunter. Is this a new quest line in Dustwallow? There used to be only murlocs on that island and all the others. Never saw any Defias on the shoreline on my main pre-bc.

I just soloed this quest on my lvl 37 rogue.

This is easy if you have the patience.

I only had to take out 1 guard along the south shore of the island, then I just had to wait for him to walk past where no1 else could see him

Starting at Cpt. Wymor in the Sentry Point Tower (59,41) he asks that you go to a large island off the coast in the Northeast (63,28) to kill Garn Mathers and retrieve the Defias Orders

It's very easy, first little island off the coast, he wanders around it

i went to alcaz island and discovered it wasn't the right island the hard way.

checking thottbot first is always the way to go

Whatever you do don't go to the biggest island called alcaz because i went there and gott killed by ? elites

The dude is a 37, patience rewards. Single pulls until he is alone, soloed as a 35.

Don't make the same mistake I did by going to the Huge island off coast, it's swarmed with elites. This island is needed however later on in this quest chain.

Followed directions of earlier post, started to clear a path (no elites btw) when I see Mathers being killed by a 70 and a 36. Of course I cried on the corpse, and prayed... and the waiting game began. Much to my surprise however, he respawned within 3 minutes.. might have even been 2. He spawns on southern end of island and makes his way to the northern end (where I killed him). He has some enchant on his sword - black. He never had a chance to use it on me since I was a mage lol...

Its nice to combine this quest with Mudrock Soup and Bugs, as there are turtles all along the coast on the way to the island, as well as around the island. The island itself is located around 63, 29 and Garn Mathers wanders around the top. Its a small island and he's easily recognizable because his clothing is darker than the rest of the Defias.

If you don't have coordinates mod, go north out of Theramore and follow the eastern coastline north and its the first island you come to, about halfway up. You can't miss it, because there are Defias NPCs wandering the shoreline of the mainland and if you look to your right, you'll see the island.

If you're looking for rep with SW, don't expect it here. Even though you're continuing to fight the Defias and uncover what happened to His Majesty... you're not going to get even one point of Southwind rep.

The XP and rewards are nice... but I'm level 38, 20123/21000 rep looking to get a horse, all I'm asking for is a little recognition for the effort.

You can find them at 64.26. From the island, You have to kill "garn mathers", He is usally patroling . He looks like a rogue. He should drop the quest item :)

Obtain the Defias Orders from Garn Mathers and bring them to Captain Wymor at Sentry Point.

My scouts have reported a shipwreck just off the beach to the northeast. Shipwrecks aren't all that unusual out here, but the reports also indicated the survivors were all wearing red bandanas!

The Defias are craftsmen and guildsmen, not sailors. What are they doing at the site of a shipwreck on a continent they've no interest in?

Their leader is rumored to reside on a large island just off the coast to the northeast of the tower. Kill him and retrieve any documents you find in his possession.
