Actually this quest leads to both those listed above. The first on e if the guys standin beside Rexxar.

I usually got a drop avery 2-3 kills. Good XP

Killed 28 Young Crust Buster & 3 Greater Crust Busters to collect all 7 Venom Gland's, also collected 2 greens items from them.

The Young Crust Busters have 2 abilities, a charge and Poison Bolt, which does instant dmg and gives you a DoT.

The Greater Crust Busters have the Poison Bolt but instead of the charge they disappear into the ground and reappear either next to you or a small distance away.

For some reason I got 100% drop near the bridge just west of RUUAN WEALD, not sure if its just luck, But yes, just kill snakes, they have poison spit.

100% of the glands I got were of of the young ones. I fought 6 of the greaters, and nothing. No glands. I fight 10-12 of the young ones, and I get all 7 of the glands that I need. Seems to me that the young ones have a higher drop rate.

Drop rates are drop rates. Some people will get 7 from their first 7 kills, some people will not even get a drop in their frist 7 kills. People always think that if they get 7/7 they've discovered some 'magic' or 'hidden' drop rate. They haven't.

Just grind the snakes until you get 7. There are no shortcuts, only the luck of the draw.

The Young Crust Busters are slightly bugged in that if you pull them too far away they end up evading and returning to where they started from. This is even the case if you continually try to leash them.

Made it long/hard as a Prot Paladin as you couldnt pull multiple mobs. Also if you're a ranged class dont stand too far away from the YCB or they will occasionally charge you . Just stand close enough that you can still use your ranged attacks.

Do not fear them. They reset and evade. It made this a lot longer than it had to be for a warlock.

You may have one of these mobs nearly dead and then they will just take off and generate all their health back and you can't do squat about it. Can be abit of a mana drain. Maybe it was just me though.

drop rate was high, killed maybe 20, got all 7 glands

droprate started off terrible for me, none in about 15 kills but once i got the first it was over 50% so hang in there!

took a lot of kills for me to get started on this, but after i got the first one didn't take very long after. got one every 2 or 3 kills, and didn't encounter the worms regenerating.

Walk directly across from Baron Sablemane
up the leittle hill and turn left you can get your 7 venom sacs walking down in about 5 minutes and 1 mana drink tops

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the grind, but the drop is low. I have killed about 12 of these guys and have one gland.

Baron Sablemane has told you that in order to make the poison that Rexxar needs, you must acquire 7 Crust Burster Venom Glands. Return to him at the Circle of Blood in the Blade's Edge Mountains once you have done so.

So, your Rexxar would have me fashion a poison for him? I'll give him what he desires, but there will be a price. Even for friends, there must be a price. Free things destroy friendships.

First, you must venture a short distance to the southwest to the Churning Gulch.

Therein mill some of the most poisonous creatures in all of Outland, or anywhere. I speak of the crust bursters, and this poison will require gathering their glands for me.
