Word of warning make sure you do this one Before doing any of Toshley's Station as i went there and did a few quests and now the npc wont give this quest becuse i have allready been there

The quest will not show up if you have any of the Toshley Station quests in your quest log.

It doesn't matter if you never picked them up, if you picked them up and then abandoned them, or if you completed them, the only thing that matters is that they're not in your quest log in that moment.

So all above posts are correct.

You definitely need to complete the 3 quests from Vindicator Vuuleen and maybe the 2 quests from Commander Skyshadow to get this quest. I did them all at once so I don't know about the 2 quests from Skyshadow but I had done 2 of the quests from Vuuleen and I didn't get this quest to pop up until I did "Planting the Banner".

anyone muppet enough to say "it's Starship Troopers" has obviously either never seen Star Wars and or never actually done this quest (you were thinking there would be monsters like the ones in Starship Troopers here but they aren't). Even the name of the quest is a play on when Luke says "where did those darn droids go". Toshi Station, Power converters and, excuse me, "Commander Skyshadow"? =D Like Commander Skywalker? This is all from Star Wars. Oh -- then there's the droid that you have to see -- R3-DO............... hmmmmmm

I'm lvl 67 and can't get this quest .. honoured with Darnassus. So there must be a requirement for this of some description .. a friend of mine same lvl, class and rep was able to pick it up.

I completed all the Vindicator quests and still did not get this quest. However, I already had done several quests at Toshley's Station, including one that had specified this quest as a prerequisite, without having actually completed it. So, if you want this quest chain, don't accept any quests from Toshley's Station until you have completed the Vindicator quests!

It's said below but I will say it again in 2021.
You CANNOT get this quest if you have ANY quests from toshleys station in your quest log.

To have this quest become available, I only did the 3 part quest chain given by Vindicator Vuuleen.
1. The Trappings of a Vindicator
2. Gorr'Dim, Your Time Has Come...
3. Planting the Banner

After completing that quest chain, this quest "Where Did Those Darn Gnomes Go?" became available to me. I hadn't done any other quests in Blade's Edge Mountains.

Where Did Those Darn Gnomes Go?

Commander Skyshadow has asked you to look in the southern area of the Jagged Ridge of the Blade's Edge Mountains for a clue as to the whereabouts of Toshley and the other gnomes.

Despite the good that we've done here, I feel bad about one thing: driving Toshley and his gnome friends away.

We had no choice; they were making a mess of our efforts in the grove with all of their technology and experimentation.

I would appreciate it if you would find out what became of them. Last we heard, they headed east across the bridge. I'm certain that they must have turned south, away from Thunderlord Stronghold.

Look for a clue as to their whereabouts in the southern Jagged Ridge.
