The camps of the furbolgs are a ways east along the road, then just off the road to the south. They are north of the Silverwind Refuge. The mobs are actually called Foulweald XXX and range from level 23-25.

It was not hard to get the Totemics and Warriors as single pulls and quickly kill them. However, the Ursas tend to hang out among groups of 3-4 other mob types.

We found that by working into the camps from the east and being patient some of the Ursa guards would stray a bit, and we could pick them off. Then the Ursa itself would eventually stray to a separate hut, and you could pick them off single as well.

A fun thing about these furbolgs is when you stand behind them you recieve a debuff nothing serious

warriors will lower your strength by 3
Totemics will lower your intellect by 3

The most easy way to solve this quest is Stay with the NCP. Pull the furblogs by attackin them and come to NCP. The NCP will hit them very hard. You just need to make sure that you attack the furblog at last. ya will gain experience without any effort and the quest goods alse.

Not sure if this quest is glitched but when i was doing this, the ursa and den watchers were standing on top of each other in a group of 8, send pet in, kill 1, run and repeat, Goodluck, was a pain, died a few times.

Confirmed that these mobs are still bugged...since alliance has a hard time sucking up their pride and helping people (:P) and no one flocked to the rescue of my poor little priest, I brought my higher leveled shaman out to clear the bugged enemies and kill them as they respawned. It sucks. Try to bring a friend or two when you do this quest if it's not fixed.

Started working on western camp and everything seemed fine- but when mobs started respawning they were in clumps:(.

There was a den watcher I pulled from around 60,51 that didn't bring any other mobs. I was also able to do this with one Ursa, and after wandering away from the area and coming back another Urse spawned where the den watcher was. Rogues should note this is not a friendly quest. Don't even bother stealthing or sapping, it does no good. Poison your weapons, bring your thistle tea, and remember that gouge and backstab are your friend! After that just Sinister strike a few times and Eviscerate.

I had a pretty rough time finding warriors. The areas were mainly dominated with totemics. Maybe I just got unlucky? I spent a lot of time running around waiting to find respawns for the warriors. Good luck!

if you follow the road east from Astranaar, the foulweald camp is just southwest of the first fork that you come to in the road.

After coming across the "invisible" mobs in this area before, this morning I was surprised to notice the top of a (live) furblogs just peeping above the path down from the road !

I therefore think these mobs aren't invsible, but they do spawn under the ground (with much the same effect as being invisible).

Useful tip. Ignore the camp just on the right as you come off the road, head further down the path and there is a second camp on the left with much easier to pull mobs.

I went to the 57,63 coordinate (follow the road east until you get to the Raynewood Retreat on your left side, almost directly across from that is a path heading south into a Foulweald camp). Managed to work the perimeter starting to the left and had all my kills except 2 warriors. I used a lot of mana and bandages for my lv25 druid but made it through without dying.

I went back up to the road and headed west again until I came to the next path on my left heading down into the valley again where I found a few more warriors to take out. From here be sure to head to head directly south to the building you see. It is Silverwind Refuge and you'll find a quest. The first part of the quest gave me 1950 points and was easy. Oh and there is that darn Mystral Lake everyone talked about when trying to find the Talondeep Path!

22 Hunter with 22 Cat at the time. Took me over an hour to complete this quest. Didn't like the looks of the Greenpaw Village furbolg camp (too many mobs close together) that lies along the road that leads south from the main Aschenvale E-W road, so I dropped off the E-W road closer to Astraanar and went south to Mistral Lake and along the lake edge to Silverwing Refuge, the Hunter's Retreat.

From the retreat I headed north and soon began to see isolated (outlying) furbolgs (warriors and totemics). There is a camp to the northwest (Greenpaw Village), and a camp to the northeast of the hunter's retreat. The NE one seemed easier, so I focused on that one.

It was easy killing off the outlying furbolgs. There are TWO furbolg Pathfinders that wander around as you approach the camp. The other furbolgs stay in place once they spawn.

The tedium came, of course, from having to clear the area continually of (re)spawning furbolgs as I worked my way toward the inner camp itself, where two Ursas, two Shamans, and the Denwatcher were. Since the bolgs I had killed would respawn behind me, blocking any kiting that I needed to do (which I had to do several times for various reasons), I had to keep going back toward the hunter's retreat and kill them. I guess I had to do this about five or six times. The Pathfinders repawn fairly quickly, too. I had to kill the two of them about three or four times.

My greatest disappointment came from the paltry loot -- about 50-60 copper per mob, hardly anything else -- no greens, no blues -- 7 linen, 3 wool, 1 silk. Unskinnable, of course. I kept hoping for better loot, so I continued to the end. I must have killed about 50 mobs.

I could have abandoned this quest, but once I start a quest, I usually finish it. That's just me.

Anyway, fair warning to all you out there. :)

lvl 23 NE druid, got everything but the ursas and denwatchers, they are stacked up in 7's every time so there is no possible way not even in a group with a lvl 26 hunter

I'm a level 27 rogue and this is extremely impossible, I cannot believe how so many ppl said it was easy on here.
EVERY SINGLE URSA IS STACK IN A 5 or 6 GROUP THAT KILLS ME IN APPROX 3SEC. Whoever decided this quest should show up green to a lvl27 needs a smack over the head!

Nobody seems to think it's important to mention mob lvl, so before you trek all the way down there, they're lvl 24-25 nasties.

Them all being lumped together is a glitch in the game. I went in earlier today and picked them all off one by one. Did this a couple of time. None were lumped. Went back in a few hours later to get some 'warriors' and them were all lumped together in the camp...

This quest IS bugged.

After going down the main entry path, it breaks to the left (which goes up a hill and down into a tunnel/cave) and to the right which leads into more camps.

The path to the left has invisible Furbolgs that throw spears that show up in portraits, but not on the main screen. They follow you a good piece out of the zone as well, I went into Felwood and I was still getting nailed with spears. The second time I died by this $%^& quest, I stayed dead and waited at the spirit healer... and lo and behold still getting nailed by spears.... even when dead.

I contacted a GM after waiting an hour and was told that the quest seems to be working fine and the problem was on my end, (Standard response from a GM)and that I should disable any mods (wasn't running any, dont use mods) or try Alt F4 (still didnt work).

What fixed the problem for me long enough to keep from dying was to have my entire guild lodge the same complaint. No less than 5 minutes later, the quest was fixed. Just a %^&* lazy GM that wasnt willing to do his job, like resetting the area.

to the guy who has a spazz attack when ppl mention they have solo'ed the qst. i dont see it as bragging, it can give u an idea wether u have a chance of doing it solo yourself if you are around the same lvl. so ppl dont get too upset and waste space in this forum telling ppl how much u hate this and that.
now, the co-ords 49-61 were helpful and i managed to get all my kills round this area. just be patient and you should get yours too without too much trouble.

If you are having stacking issues and are a druid/hunter, kite the group to the night elf base which is inbetween these two furlbog camps to the south...the guards will jump out and kill them for you, but make sure you have done atleast 50% damage to the one guy you are trying to get credit for or it will not count as your kill.

See its bugged on Alexstrasza too, but this time its the camps, they are literally bunched up on top of each other. So 5-6 furlbogs (I can't tell how many there are) are grouped all on the ursa's and shamans. It sucks but I guess I can get a group to clear them out.

Or you can get lucky like I did. I had picked off the totemics and warriors that I needed. I stood there looking at that clump of shamans and ursas, and one den watcher, and thought, "What the heck." I locked on the den watcher and hit him with a fireball (lvl 32 mage). Of course everyone aggroed. I tried to take them out with a series of AoE spells, but they were too much for me. After I ressed, two tauren druids showed up and were killing everything. I waited and, sure enough, they aggroed the clump. I jumped in, just to help, mind you, and pulled the den watcher. By the time I took him out, all the others were dead. So, I waited around for the respawn and was able to pull the two ursas together and take them out. Just to show my gratitude to the tauren, I helped them kill a few furbolgs while I waited for the respawn.

This is an Easy quest,
Just head east from astranaar, Then when you are at coord 53,57 look to youre right, there is a path where you can run down, and you will find the furbolgs there.

WHATS WITH THESE URSAS AND DENWATCHERS THERE ALL HUDDLED TOGETHER WITH A FREAKIN SHAMEN. everytime i try to kill the ursar they group up on me a freakin kill me >_<

I was able to find everything not grouped up on top of each other except for a den watcher. So I killed everything else, then I ambushed a den watcher, popped evasion, killed it, then sprinted away.

I had the same problem. 5 Foulweald's all stacked together. I paged a GM, but luckily a level 51 came by and killed the entire stack. Now I'm waiting on one more Ursa to spawn, then I'm done with this quest. They just spawned, all in the proper location. Finally got a proper pull - 2 and finished the quest.

i dont know what the deal is with the giant stack of mobs full of shamans ursas and whatever. i was able to solo it as a lvl 30 lock. luckily i think i was the right spec for it being demonology.

i killed 2 off before the voidwalker died, ran out, resummoned him and killed the other 4 the second time around. i kill the shamans first and wanded there totems, the ursas wer no trouble after the shamans were dead.

i dont know how anyone that isnt a pet controlling class is gonna handle this. at least until they fix it.

I would love for some one top expalin to me how to kill a mob of 6 when they all attack you at once. I ma lvl 22 druid, the mob of 6 are all 24. If I was a lvlv28 i stil could not kill 6 lvl 24's comming at you at once. Blizzard cand stick this quest up their ass. Abandon if you get it.

Dont get me wrong, if a quest is doable I will find a way to do it. I did it with my 70 warlock. This is NOT a solo quest.

Wel l you did i tas a 30 lock, and they are all 24's. Try doing it at level 22 with no pet. NO CLASS at level 22 can kill 6 level 24's , no one.

The drop of wool from these guys is really high so anyone that wants to increase their tailoring skill or first aid should seriously do this quest

when i tried this today the mobs were still stacked up. i had someone helping me and we killed the den watcher and a couple others, but the ursas bugged and wouldn't aggro. this quest is a complete waste of time.

We had a different problem today. A lvl 23 druid in cat form and I (lvl 24 rogue) were trying to use stealth to keep from aggroing the whole group of furlbogs. I'd go in, sap, and plan to walk back to where my friend was away from the camp, hoping when sap wore off the _one_ furlbog would come after me.

Well, didn't work. Using sap would break me out of stealth mode, and they'd immediately aggro on me. Often the sap wouldn't even work.

We discovered that using _any_ move on them would break stealth. What's worse, sometimes just getting close to them would break stealth, even before I tried a move on them. Made it almost impossible to fight them except for the ones that were by themselves.

After reading these comments, I wonder if we weren't being hit by the "invisible" mobs or totems that some of the others mention. It didn't do any damage to us, just broke us out of stealth.

Around 54,61 I found 2 Ursa that I could pull one at a time.
Need to clear mobs around them.
Did as LVL 24 Paladin.

I would not say easy (for a level 24) but is not hard either. You just have to choose the smaller camp, which is the one to the west and not the ones near Raynewood.
Along the main road, near the "small sitting area", there are two lamp posts to the south, starting a path that goes towards the Silverwind Refuge.
From the beginning of that path (lamp posts) work your way slowly to the right (going south and west). You get two Ursas, a Den Watcher, some Warriors and some Totemics. The rest of the Warriors and Totemics are easy.

Coordinates given are good, area around 50,60. This changed in one of the patches, when I did this with my hunter there were several camps; now there's just one, to the right of the path just south of the road. Den Watchers and Ursae are in the camp, close together, but if you wait one will drift out far enough to single pull - only took a few minutes to bag my limit. The hardest part was the Warriors, they're scarce - I tried killing a couple of Totemics just to get Warriors to spawn. Boosted my xp, but at the price of time. Do yourself a favor, kill every Warrior you see and bide the time between re-spawns offing the Totemics.

Druids: Cat Form vs. the Totemics - if you get a good DPS flurry on them, they won't have time to cast their totems. Un-shapeshift against the Warriors, root them and starfire until they release, melee, then moonfire when they run. If you draw any of the Pathfinders, shift to Bearform. Overall, more time consuming than difficult - but fun! Always nice to prowl up behind a shaman and shred 'em! ;-)

I stand corrected - they haven't reduced the camps, they've just spread out; all the way east to 58,67 (almost to the river), and a good deal south as well. There are several more camps with Ursae and Den Watchers, interspersed with Warriors, with the Totemics "standing guard". (I came across these camps after taking a break at Silverwind Refuge.) This part was a little harder, you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a Totemic - clear a path, or if you end up running from one totem you'll trip over another (it seems they have longer range now, too!)

i was there kiling some for the quest and withing 5 seconds there was a orc shaman niv 23 and he could'nt even kill me when i was attacked by a warrior. I am niv 24 and i killed him 3 times because he came again and again but it was fun.

I'm 'TRYING' to finish this as a 25 hunter on Eitrigg, the Ursa'a are in the middle of a huge Mob of MOBs. There must be 10 of the furry little SOBs ... this must be a bug ... I have all the othe other kills except the Ursa's. Waiting for a GM <sigh>

This wasn't difficult as a 26 Mage, the Foulwealds all stick to their little areas like other Furbolgs, except the Pathfinders. They're not part of the quest, but they patrol around between the two camps and used ranged weapons, so watch your back.

Some tauren named "Filthy" attacked me on this quest, lvl 27 shaman. one blast killed pally (was weaken by foulweald) and shot him with bow. He started to blast me with magic attacks. brought him to half health then i died.

Mobs currently appear to be bugged.
The ursa, shammys, and den watchers are spawning right on top of each other and not moving from the spawn spot.

This is happening in both camps.

A strategy that I used as a mage to take out the mobs is to first clear an escape path behind you. Target an ursa or a den watcher as these are the only ones you really need from the grouped mobs. Stay as far back as possible, and shoot as many fireballs (3-4) as possible before the mobs reach you, finish off with a Fire Blast which should hopefully kill the target (With lvl 24 spells it worked fine), and Frost Nova/Blink to safety. As long as you keep the mobs behind you cleared, you should have no problem outrunning the grouped ones, running back and taking out the rest. Don't bother with frost or AoE spells, just focus on one at a time.

The ursas and den watchers are the toughest to get, but you can pull them one at a time if you do this:

Go to the encampment at 54,61. Move to south side about 30 yards from the lean-to. A den watcher is right next to the lean-to. Check over your shoulder and pull him. He will come alone, kill him. Then move about 20 feet to the left so you can see the other den watcher standing near the fire. Pull/kill.

Move right and circle around the encampment toward the road to about 50 feet from the fire, standing at the base of a rise with your back/side to the road facing the encampment. Pull the first ursa nearest, kill. Pull the second, kill. Split.

Lots of MOBs to aggro, so move carefully and take your time. Watch out for the patrolling MOBs that seem to wander by randomly. They can sneak up on you while you are fighting and help their buddies.

Lvl 24 druid.

I got to Ashenvale later than most characters and at level 30 this was a cakewalk. I got 1550 XP for the quest.

The mobs are found in Greenpaw Village- and my co-ords are 54,64 on the Ashenvale map. NNE of Mystral Lake and NE of Silverwind Refuge.
I also found that coming in from the east side was easier for drawing singles- even the Ursas came as singles from that side.
Be sure to pop in to Silverwind while you're there. You cna pick up a quest and some tweaks if you need them.

Hey the new patch that just came out seems to have fixed the quest. There are far more Warriors to kill now and the Den Watchers aren't grouped any longer. Easy solo with 26 druid.

Before you travel to the moonwell I have another task that will aid the people of Ashenvale if you would like to test your skills.

Along the road heading east before the Falfarren River, furbolgs have been attacking travelers. Their tortured minds feeding upon fear, and their appetites satiated by the blood of innocents.

Aid the Sentinels in protecting the lands by showing those monsters the same mercy they have shown our kind.

I believe their camps are south of the road... be careful.
