When you start the fight, I'd recommend letting the NPCs tank. You won't be able to heal them, but if you zerg the firelord quickly, you won't need to worry about healing your own tank.

Cyrukh's primary attacks are physical, meaning they can be mitigated by armor. With 20k armor, he was hitting for between 600 and 1300. He also has a ~1.2k knock away that reduces aggro on the target knocked away, and a ~3k trample that hits anyone in melee range. His final ability is a targeted AoE ignite (fire-based) that ignites an area of ground around a player. The AoE damage can be minimised by spreading out so only one person gets hit at a time, and by moving quickly out of the ignited area when it does hit.

In my experience, having a well-geared tank hold aggro on him is far more reliable than trying to let the NPCs tank him. It was also my experience that losing aggro to a knock-away caused Cyrukh to focus on one of the NPCs rather than my group mates, but don't rely on it!

Just a small note, if you don't stand by the NPC's that are talking about the whole ritual crap, and run to the hill and stand there the quest will completely stall. We had to restart it it stalled so badly.

we did this with a min if three players. rogue, BM hunter and holy pally. the pet was off tank with growl on. we let the npc tank. when the npc dies the boss goes to my pet. the hunter and pally tried duoing it and got him to 15%. it is possible to duo it if the healer was quick enough to swap over to the pet. the pet died within 4-5 hits. but the healer can heal through it if they switch target fast enough.

but yeah i'd say 3 is the min if you got the dps.

Just wondering, is this a gimmick fight? we had a stacked group for me but i managed to break 2k dps on it. ret pally, enh shammy, a war and a priest on heals. It doesnt really seem to add up but several different dps meters that dont sinc with each other were saying i was right around the 2k mark (BM hunter with pet included)

Trivia: When completing the quest you will be able to see a sunfury mark made of fire in front of Earthmender Torlok, since it was the old Tempest Keep attunement.

Hey, think about this. This guy it Outland's equivilant to Rag. This is the Outlands Fire Lord. What took 40 60s in Azeroth can be done by 5 70s in Outland. Woah.

Big crossover between ragnaros and the stone giants in maraudon. Fairly simple tank and spank fight, get a good tank and healer and the NPC's will help with enough DPS to put him down easily.

I'm a fire mage, so this presents a problem to me. Does anyone know if he's vulnerable to fire?

I know it's a longshot, but otherwise I'm gonna do crap DPS.

You can hit him with fire. He has some fire resist but out of about 20 shots before I died, he only resisted half of one. I have some resist down talents and about 30 penetration.

Just 2 manned this quest with a really well geared dps warrior and my semi karazhan geared resto shaman (1700 healing), popped all cooldowns (heroism, fire elemental, and warrior used all his cooldowns to stay alive) and used windfury/strength of earth/healing stream totems, was very tough and the warriors hp got chunked a few times but we managed to pull it off after a couple of mins!

id suggest using consumes if you have fewer people and popping potions as early as you can to have them up again towards the end of the fight helps a lot too!
