Updated Druid Covenant Specific Legendaries in Patch 9.1
Kyrian -
When you empower your bond, You and your partner's benefits are increased by 50%.partner each gain Kindred Affinity when bonded, increasing a secondary stat based on your partner's Covenant. While your bond is empowered, Kindred Affinity is doubled.
Kyrian: Mastery increased by 5%.
Night Fae: Critical Strike increased by 5%.
Venthyr: Haste increased by 5%.
Necrolord: Versatility increased by 5%.
Balance Druid Writer Opinion & Feedback
Currently it is unknown how exactly the stats are going to work on the new Kyrian legendary. While it is suspected that
should give you just a flat 5% (plus or minus some coefficient modifiers), it also seems like there could be some wonky stuff with multiplicative stat scaling according to the spell data. This requires further testing on the PTR and the legendary is currently NYI.
This legendary seems like it could be a decent AOE / M+ option depending on what classes are meta. It ultimately comes down to what covenants / players you can reasonably link to in a dungeon, as there are only a few DPS options available in a dungeon. On top of that, you really want Mastery or Haste on AOE and Venthyr is not a super popular dungeon pick. A big part of this legendary will come down to how it competes with an AOE option such as
Pulsazione Arcanica Primordiale
and what classes are legendary. Don't expect to swap covenants solely for this legendary.

Feral Druid Writer Opinion & Feedback
The new Kyrian legendary seems to hit, what at this point is the class fantasy, incredibly dull but potentially very strong. The legendary has been redesigned to give stats based on the covenant of the person you link to, depending on what covenant they are. It gives 5% stat to both players, doubled whenever you activate
Spiriti Affini
. It's a little odd that it gives % stat rather than rating, as obviously stats have different breakpoints for hitting that 5% mark. However, it does mean that it skips having to worry about diminishing returns! It's a high enough uptime on stats, that I think it's very likely that this is a solid legendary choice if you are Kyrian. The legendary alone doesn't shift what covenant we may choose to swap to, however the whole Kyrian package as presented in 9.1 very might shift the option!

Guardian Druid Writer Opinion & Feedback
The new potential Kyrian legendary for Guardian Druid
(unconfirmed) is actually quite powerful and can act as yet another external buff for one of your raid members, similar to
Infusione di Potere
or
Stendardo del Conquistatore
, and is extremely likely to be used if you are already a raiding Kyrian druid.
provides a 5% stat increase (different stat depending on which covenant they are) for you and your tethered target all the time. This doubles to 10% when the tether is empowered, which occurs quite often (every 30 seconds or so) with the new node on the
Mikanikos tree
Acceleratore d'Animum Effusivo
and Kyrian conduit
Lealtà Profonda
that reduces the cooldown, making this quite a significant chunk of stats with great uptime.
I do not think this is powerful enough on its own to make all Guardian Druids change to Kyrian, however if you are already Kyrian and enjoying it, I would say this is a must craft for raiding. In Mythic+
Rinomata Furia di Ursoc
still reigns supreme and is very hard to pass up, Kyrian or otherwise.
Guardian Druid Guide
Restoration Druid Writer Opinion & Feedback
, the new Kyrian legendary has been updated in this week's PTR build. Where it previously increased the empowered bond by 50%, it now adds a flat 5% stat increase for both you and your bonded partner based on each other's covenants. This stat increase doubles for both partners during the empowerment.
Like the previous incarnation, this current implementation seems a bit dull and uninspired. Don't get me wrong, secondary stats are great especially since you'll have these all the time and then just have the additional bonus during the empowerment, but they're a bit boring. Compared to the double
Bocciolo di Vita
of
Lezione del Titano Oscuro
, the HoT extension of
Infusione Verdeggiante
, or even the shorter powerful HoT healing style of
Circolo della Vita e della Morte
,
just tends to fall short in terms of gameplay. Set and forget for the most part.
Where this legendary does pay dividends is in the support fantasy that seems to have pervaded class design in Shadowlands. Consider
as another tool similar to
Infusione di Potere
or
Stendardo del Conquistatore
. While that support fantasy certainly won't appeal to every Restoration Druid, those that it does appeal to should feel more supported.
Because this legendary is still not yet implemented on the PTR, it's difficult to fully evaluate and may see additional changes. It has potential especially for those that enjoy the support fantasy, but you'll still be committing to Kyrian and all the downsides of
Spiriti Affini
which have yet to be addressed in 9.1. Don't expect to switch covenants anytime soon.

Updated Warrior Covenant Specific Legendaries in Patch 9.1
Venthyr -
Impeto Peccaminoso
Protection, Initial:
Condemn extends the duration of Last Stand by 4 sec3 sec
Fury:
Condemn extends the duration of Recklessness by 3 sec2.0 sec
Inventory Type: Head, Shoulder
Arms & Fury Warrior Writer Opinion & Feedback
The
Impeto Peccaminoso
update is a good change - reducing the obviously overpowered Venthyr covenant specific legendary to a more reasonable, but very competitive level. At current, it sits at an approximate 12% gain, which represents a significant increase over
Anello con Sigillo dei Re Tormentati
, but is on par with many other specialization's top legendaries.
Although Arms will still not use it over
Anello con Sigillo dei Re Tormentati
or
Colpo Duraturo
, it should now be the go-to legendary for Venthyr Fury Warriors in 9.1, and is unlikely to need any other adjustment, although it is very likely we'll see other tuning changes be applied to both specs as the PTR goes on.
Although it looks to be the front runner for Venthyr, it should be remembered that Night Fae and Kyrian hold significant advantages in Mythic+/multi-target situations, and Necrolord's new
Gloria
legendary provides an even larger gain when accounting for the group buff.

Protection Warrior Writer Opinion & Feedback
In this week's Patch 9.1’s PTR update, Protection Warriors received a single change: a nerf to the Venthyr Legendary Power
Impeto Peccaminoso
. It was reduced from 4 seconds of added
Ultima Difesa
uptime per
Condanna
cast, down to only 3. This is a bad nerf to an already-bad Legendary for an already-bad Covenant. Frankly, it makes no sense.
First of all, no one on Earth should want to use
Impeto Peccaminoso
as Protection. The idea of maintaining high uptime on
Ultima Difesa
is nice, but it doesn't interact positively with
Rinforzo
at all, so it's not nearly as good of a bonus as it might look at first glance. Cooldown reduction, for example, would be a better bonus than simply extending
Ultima Difesa
's duration. The opportunity cost of sacrificing
Rappresaglia
or
Muro
is just too high. These other bonuses are stronger and they work at all times, rather than only in the >80% and <20% enemy health ranges. Moreover, Venthyr is a bad Covenant for Protection Warriors. This is basically just a nerf to off-speccing Fury or Arms Warriors who don't have
Rappresaglia
or
Muro
, and who are already at a significant disadvantage due to being the wrong Covenant. Why is Blizzard so eager to punish players for using their offspecs? Who knows?!
Ultimately, this change means nothing. This was a "Never use" last week, and it's a "Never use" now. Don't worry about it.
