Unlocking Empowered Artifact Traits in Patch 7.2 - Infiltration Plans and Gilded Scroll Case Quests

In Patch 7.2, players with 35 or more Artifact Traits will be given a special questline to unlock new Empowered artifact traits and 4/4 ranks on their old 3/3 traits. There are several versions of these quests for DPS, healers, and tanks, so we will be previewing all of them over the next few weeks! Also check out our

, which you will work on around the same time as these artifact quests.
Today we are looking at the questlines started by

(tanks) and
Custodia di Pergamene Dorata
(some DPS):
All players initially complete the following series of quests:
Kill creatures on the Broken Shore for a special quest item in
Riva Dispersa: Investigare sulla Legione
. Bring these plans to the Council of the Six in Dalaran (

).
For

, head to the Purple Parlor in Dalaran for additional privacy. This was a special bar accessible in Northrend Dalaran that was hidden in Legion Dalaran until now. Once there, the Council for Six asks for aid in

. They've just survived a Legion attack in the bar and are cleansing it of fel corruption. They have a mission for you to weaken the Legion.

: Find Kor'vas Bloodthorn, one of the Demon Hunters, patrolling around Dalaran. You reach her just in time to see the Dalaran bank suffer a Legion attack.

saw the demon sneak off with the heart of
Gran Signore Kruul
. While we haven't encountered this demon in Legion, we learn that Highlord Kruul was once one of the most powerful Legion lieutenants. He met his demise during Burning Crusade, when the Illidari defeated his attack on the dark Portal. While this event was not covered in game, it was included in the novel Illidan.

: Next you must find Prophet Velen, as Kor'vas fears the Legion is using the heart to resurrect Kruul. You head to the First Aid building where he's often found, but he's just left. Next, you head to the landing, where Velen is gazing out towards the Tomb of Sargeras looking for answers. He is able to summon a spectral version of Kruul, who says he is coming back with the Legion.

: Head back to the Stairs of Destiny, the foot of the Dark Portal and the very first place you visit in Outland. The Demonic presence is clear, with many fel portals. Kor'vas reactivates the portals and you fight several waves of Kruul's minions. Finally, you fight

: Speak with Archmage Modera in Dalaran to let her know that Vazuun has been defeated. The Council of the Six then rewards you for your heroic deeds by empowering your Artifact Weapon.

: The scrolls you looted on the Broken Shore state that a descendant of Skovald will unite the Tideskorn together against the Burning Legion. You start searching for this heir by the vrykul of Jandvik in Suramar. Of course, because you defeated God-King Skovald in Halls of Valor, things could get tense if the descendant knew about it.
Once in Jandvik, you question various vrykul as to the whereabouts of the descendant. You find a wandering Shieldmaiden outside of the town,
Sigryn
. She is the daughter of Skovald, but is keeping it a secret to avoid attacks from the Jandvik. She is unaware of the prophecy but is willing to help you because she wishes to undo some of the damage her father caused to the Tideskorn.
La Sovrana riluttante
: Together you travel to Skold-Ashill and meet with Eyir. Along the way in Stormheim, you fend off different assassins and enemies of
Sigryn
. She tells you about the day she fled Stormheim - when the other members of her family were assassinated before her eyes. Once you reach Skold-Ashill, you are given an audience with Eyir, who confirms the prophecy. A descendant of the God King and a Shieldmaiden would unite the Tideskorn against a terrible foe. Next, you must help
Sigryn
with her challenges.
Far tacere i Parlaossa
: Runeseer Faljar of the Bonespeakers is one of the rivals to the throne. He does not recognize
Sigryn
as the rightful heir to the throne, and challenges her to combat--dishonorable combat, as he summons the bones of the vrykul ancestors to fight with him. Once defeated, he pledges his alliance but warns that the darkness in Skovald is also present in
Sigryn
.
Ammansire i Drekirjar
: Next you must defeat Jarl Velbrand in Hrydshal. He also ignores her claim to the throne and challenges her to combat. Once defeated, he pledges his allegiance but reveals that the God-King's son still lives and most would recognize him as the true heir to the throne instead.

Sigryn
is eager to meet her brother as she believed him to be murdered by the assassins. However, the reunion does not go as planned as Torvald reveals he survived the assassins by tapping into the fel powers Skovald tried to imbue in his children. While
Sigryn
resisted the fel, Torvald has fully embraced it and challenges her to combat. With his dying breath, he challenges her to learn who was responsible for sending assassins to her family.

: With no-one left to challenge
Sigryn
to the throne, she heads back to Eyir. However, she also demands Eyir tell her who was responsible for her mother's death. Eyir does not wish to tell her, but reveals that Odyn ordered the deaths of Skovald's family, fearing that the God King's family would create a partnership between the Legion and Tideskorn. Distraught,
Sigryn
believes that the titan watchers have no more honor than the Legion, and lets the fel inside of her take hold. She turns into a fel Shieldmaiden and flies to meet Odyn.

quite yet. Head back to Dalaran and let the Council of Six know about the events.
