Ray Tracing Support in Burning Crusade Classic

Burning Crusade Classic Beta is not yet playable
, customization options are accessible, including support for Ray Traced shadows!
Ray Tracing was added to the
Shadowlands beta last year
, and you can see some of those comparisons in our earlier coverage, such as the example screenshots below.
Keep in mind that not everyone will be able to take advantage of ray tracing, as it requires a relatively new graphics card.
To summarize, testing ray tracing in the Shadowlands Beta requires that you:
Use DirectX 12,
have a GPU that supports DirectX Raytracing Tier 1.1, with the latest drivers installed and used, and
have the May 2020 update for Windows 10, version 2004.
Ray Traced Shadows
Ray Traced Shadows from directional light sources at reduced resolution.
Improves shadow quality with ray tracing, which produces shadows with more natural softness, greatly increased precision, and from additional light sources.
Ray Traced Shadows from directional and local light sources at full resolution.
