Blizzard today
has a poll on your favorite Inn in Azeroth
, so we're taking a closer look at them.
There are no achievements to visiting these Inns during
Brewfest
, but they add a lot to holiday spirit and they each have their own quirks!
Which is your favorite Inn in game? Currently Lion's Pride Inn (Goldshire) is in 1st place, followed by the World's End Tavern, Grim Guzzler, Filthy Animal, and The Lazy Turnip.
Broken Keel (Ratchet, Barrens)
This simple goblin Inn overlooks the coast. The decor is very plain, with standard beds and mats as lodging, but there are tons of tables and baked bread as refreshment.
Cantrips and Crows (Dalaran)
Located in the sewers of Dalaran, this Inn is home to the city's shadier figures. As Innkeeper
Ajay Green
states, "Watch your back while you're here, hmmm? Narisa doesn't like scrubbing blood off the floor." There's a Goblin-run bank nearby, you'll turn in the
Stufato della Fogna
here, and you can reminisce about the good old PvP days with
Gran Signore della Guerra Uro
.
Deepwater Tavern (Menethil Harbor, Wetlands)
This cozy Inn is intact in flooded Menethil Harbor. If you can make it past the water, it's quite nice, surrounded by sandbags.
The Filthy Animal (Dalaran)
This Horde-only Inn in Dalaran is less formal than the rest of the city. It's run by
Uda la Bestia
, who flexes at you when you /kiss her, encourages you to drink, and threatens to feed you to her wolves if you fight. In the back of the Inn you'll find the cooking trainer
Awilo Lon'gomba
and his assistant
Misensi
, tributes to Olibith's
Never Stay Tuned
series.
Gallows’ End Tavern (Brill, Tirisfal Glades)
This gloomy inn makes you sleep in coffins in the basement, and the walls are decorated with Undead-themed art including a spin on "American Gothic." Outside, you'll find
William Saldean
, who sells you grain needed for
Uovo di Gallina
.
Grim Guzzler (Blackrock Depths)
This Inn is located at the heart of Blackrock Depths and plays an important role in Brewfest. Here you'll find Dark Iron Dwarves dancing on tables, the bouncer
Falange
, and hostess
Signora Nagmara
. You'll also find
Spiny Spazzanello
, the owner of the bar, who sells unique refreshments like
Pretzel Salato
and
Birra Chiara di Spiny
, but is all-to-easy to start a fight and can drop
Schema: Defibrillatore dei Goblin XL
. You can also pick up
Boccale di Birra dei Ferroscuro
which your
Pincopallina
pet will enjoy! Finally, The Grim Guzzler is also home to
Lokhtos Pattoscuro
, the Thorium Brotherhood Quartermaster who sells fire resistance recipes.
Kharanos Inn (Dun Morogh)
You'll be familiar with this Inn if you do a lot of Ram Racing during Brewfest. This frosty Inn features a gigantic keg on the roof, and inside most of the NPCs are holding tankards or drumsticks. In the basement, you'll find
Jarven Birratuono
, who guards the ale.
The Lazy Turnip (Halfhill, Valley of the Four Winds)
This Pandaria-style Inn is located in Halfhill, the bustling town at the center of Pandaria's heartland. Celebrating farming, there's huge vegetables, sacks of grain, flowers, and a scarecrow as decorations. The Inn reflects Pandaria's unique style with distinctive beds, pillows, grills on the bar, kegs, lanterns, and scrolls. As its located on a hill, there's also a great view from the balcony of the farms and marketplace below.
The Legerdemain Lounge (Dalaran)
Located in Dalaran proper, this lounge is very classy with ornate decorations and lavish details from the floor to ceiling. This Inn, along with Cantrips and Crows, is one of the two neutral Inns in Dalaran.
Lion’s Pride Inn (Elwynn Forest)
Enter at your own risk--as the first Inn players hit in the human leveling zone, this can be a pretty wild place, especially on RP realms. It can be a charming place though, with country decor. It's home to Mage, Priest, First Aid, Rogue, Warlock, and Cooking Trainers. There are tons of homey details from messy bookshelves to a roaring hearth--and there's even a Hearthstone board.
Pig and Whistle (Stormwind Old Town)
The Pig and Whistle is one of Stormwind's large taverns with several floors, a kitchen, and basement with ale. If you're familiar with Cooking Dailies, you'll have visited this Inn to quickly pick up spices and flour.
Kendor Kabonka
on the balcony also sells recipes that are quest rewards, as well as a few unique ones:
Ricetta: Zuppa di Pinne di Murloc
,
Ricetta: Gumbo di Crocolisco
,
Ricetta: Gulasch alla Crestarossa
,
Ricetta: Bistecca di Crocolisco
,
Ricetta: Pasticcio di Fegato di Cinghiospino
. This Inn was also the setting for the Warrior quest which rewarded Defensive Stance.
Salty Sailor (Booty Bay, Stranglethorn Vale)
The Salty Sailor captures the free-spirited nature of Booty Bay, with pirates, goblins and rogues--and a boat stuck into the building for a unique haphazard appearance. You'll find
Barone Granbottino
, the ruler of Booty Bay here, as well as
Contrammiraglio Corno Marino
and the rest of the Blackwater Raiders. Great views of the coastal city and bay from here--just don't sit too close to the stove, it might explode.
Scarlet Raven Tavern (Darkshire, Duskwood)
Located in the spooky town of Darkshire, the Scarlet Raven Tavern is a rare cheery area. It looks like a regular Inn, except the windows have a ghostly color, reflecting the perpetual gloom outside.
Shady Rest Inn (Dustwallow Marsh)
This is the location of one of the saddest stories in WoW. To start the questline, pick up
Esplorare le rovine
from
Capitano Garran Vimes
.
The Slaughtered Lamb (Stormwind Mage Quarter)
The Slaughtered Lamb is much less cozier than the Pig and Whistle. It's a small inn with shabby decorations, and a large brown curtain hides a spiral staircase that descends to a Warlock hideaway. Here you'll find numerous Warlock trainers, read about the Council of the Black Harvest, and descend even further into the catacombs.
Stonefire Tavern (Ironforge)
This Dwarven-style Inn is located by Ironforge's entrance, next to the Auction House. You'll find
Liu il Senza Fondo
drinking here, as well as seasonal Brewfest vendors. This Inn doesn't have much in the way of decorations--just lots of stone, and a forlorn pillow on the balcony.
Tavern of Time (Caverns of Time, Tanaris)
You might skip this Inn if you take the flight down through Caverns of Time - it's located off the spiraling path by the broken bits of buildings and ships. This is a small Elven-style tavern, featuring purple-tinted windows,
I Kaldorei e il Pozzo dell'Eternità
, and candles.
Wayfarer’s Rest (Silvermoon City)
This is a grand Blood Elf Inn in the heart of Silvermoon. Luxurious chandeliers, lush fabrics, tables heaped with food--it's all here.
World’s End Tavern (Shattrath City)
Located in Shattrath's Lower City, this was the place to be during Burning Crusade. You'll find
Haris Pilton
who sells expensive rare jewelry,
Lonika Lamaferma
dispensing Rogue advice, comedy and music performances, and an easy port to Caverns of Time.
Here's a few of our own favorites that weren't on the list:
The Sepulcher (Silverpine Forest)
Gloomy like the inn in Brill, this Inn has
Locandiere Bates
is a menacing Innkeeper, a reference to the film
Psycho
, who also wields a knife.
The Broken Tusk (Orgrimmar)
This Inn is home to
Gamon
, Hero of Orgrimmar.
Gamon
initially was a punching bag, constantly dead in the Inn. In Cataclysm, he became tougher but could still be killed or kited, but in Mists of Pandaria, he truly became a hero. Captured by the Kor'kron, he played an instrumental role in the Siege of Orgrimmar. Now, he's once again back at the Broken Tusk Inn, enjoying a well-earned drink.
A Hero's Welcome (Dalaran)
The Alliance Inn in Dalaran is grand, featuring gorgeous decor and a beer garden in the back.
Farstrider Lodge (Loch Modan)
This Inn drew high praise from users because of its breezy outdoor terrace--it's a unique place to gain rested experience while sitting outdoors. It's also a nice mix of hunter cultures--Dwarven and High Elven.
The Blue Recluse (Stormwind City)
This is one of Stormwind's friendliest Inns, with a sunny entrance overlooking flowers and trees. Inside,
Angus Stern
will throw a feast for you in
Banchetto alla Taverna Azzurra
as a favor for helping acquaintances in
Fuga del Fetido
.
