Since it needs only a skill of 150 in First Aid to use, a level 5 character can in theory use these if provided sufficient mats to level to 150.

You just havaeaa to do a quest to get them which i think it is at around 230 you go to a guy in Hammerfall and he gives you a quest which after completion you learn a new level of First Aid and can make heavy mageweave and some higher ones.

you have to talk to the guy in the building just left to the cities entrance in hammerfall ( should be called a "Trauma Chirurg" or something ) to get the quest.

It's just like the quest says: treat the worst patients first.

But don't forget to put the quest bandages on an easy access button so that u can start healing immidiatly after u've treated the second patient.

If you would fail to complete the quest then drop the quest bandages! otherwise when u retake the quest you will not get the full complement of 20 bandages and it will be impossible to complete the quest on the second attempt.

I got 300 FA at level 35, not sure if this was changed in a patch but as of yesterday level 35+ could get the quest from the Doc.

dont know what lvl he gives it but i checked at 298 and could get it, so maybe 290 or 295, not that it makes much diff really ;)

heavy runecloth is given by the doctor in therma at level 290 of first aid....its the heavy mageweave cloth bandage that is given at 230..I reccomend that all classes get the first aid skill maxed so they can heal 2000 hps in 8 seconds while in combat(note if you or player you are healing has any aoe effects or gets hit while using bandage then that will cancel out the bandage process)

Required character level of 35 in order to get artisian training in all of the professions except gathering ones. Used to be 40 for secondary skills, but I think they moved it back to 35.

The guy that teacehd u first aid 300 can teach u mageweave bandeges,heavy mageweave bandeges and so on . That trauma guy.

TO get artisian First Aid for horde have your sill lvl all the way to 225 then go to hammerfall in arathi highlands u will find an undead trauma suregeon with a quest if your atleast lvl 35 in a building in south part of town.
PS. you might want to bring a friend :)

Horde: In Hammerfall u get the artisan quest, u must be lvl 35 and have 225 in FA.

Alliance: In Foothold Citadel in Theramore Isle u find the artisan quest, u must be lvl 35 and have 225 in FA.

On both sides it seems to be that u got to have 240 in FA to learn the heavy mageweave bandage, and when u done that 'til it's green u can learn runecloth and further on Heavy runecloth bandage. On both sides u learn it at the artisan FA guy where u got the artisan quest.

Here's a hint... if someone else is around that can do this quest, have them help you. All the people they bandage count on your quest. Return the favor for them and you'll both be in and out in less than 5 minutes!

ok, let me straighten this out, you do NOT need to be level 40 to get past 225, just level 35 with a first aid skill of 225. then you may accept the quest, and presto, if you complete it, you can get to 300. btw, it is the same with creation proffesions, tailoring/smithing etc. why do people think its level 40? i guess it does follow 2 algorithms before you reach that last step that gets you to 300, but trust me, its level 35, and its any level for 225+ gathering proffesions, i got artisan (up to 300) herbalism at level 32.

OK, HEAVY RUNECLOTH is the last one from the DOC in Hammerfall. You can get this at LVL 35/SKILL 290. Even as a 35 you can get to FA Skill 300.

I read about Powerful Anti-Venom is next, just not sure about the Recipe or who to get it from or what LVL you need to be.

The DEFINITIVE directions to the alliance first aid trainer in Stromgarde Keep:

**** He sells 3 books: Expert First Aid: Under Wraps (90 silver), Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage (22 silver), Manual: Mageweave Bandage (50 silver) ****

1) Enter the front entrance of Stromgarde Keep.

2) Go under the bridge directly ahead and take the first right (you will see 2 Stromgarde Defenders under the archway).

3) After those first two defenders, take a right at the first tree. Follow that stone path you are on as it continues to curve right past a few buildings.

4) Continue on the path and you will cross over a bridge and then under some ivy tresses. While under the ivy overhang, look right and you will see a well and an NPC. That NPC is Deneb Walker. Huzzah!

The quest for first aid 225+ at Hammerfall is so easy, I don't know why people are making such a big deal about how hard it is. When you start the quest, don't jump around to each character that needs to be helped. Stand in the middle between the two center mats, put your aspect of view overhead so you're looking down on the whole scene from above your head. Only click on and heal the most critically wounded characters first, then the others as the directions for the quest tells you. If you are quick in your bandaging (put your bandages on your tool bar so you can access them easily) you can do this quest very simply. I've done it twice now, with two different characters, had to start it a couple times till I got the hang of it, but after that, it was easily accomplished, and I didn't have a friend help me. After you start the bandaging process on one character, watch for the next that needs help most, it's a piece of cake.

My first aid just hit 240. I went to the trainer in Theramore and he had nothing for me. Anyone experiencing the same problem or have their been any changes made since the expansion?

yes i am trying to get my FA skill past 225, i am visiting the trauma dr. gustaf or whatever and there is no quest for me...would love to know what it is im doing wrong...hope to hear back from someone

Ok For All Of You Who Need To Know. Get your First Aid up to 150 then travel to Dustwallow Marsh And Buy Manual: Mageweave Bandage from the reagent vendor in Brackenwall Village, or go to your local AH im sure theres one in there. if not then buy some extra and stick in there for other toons,easy money. After Your Make some More bandages and you reach 210 go to HammerFall In Arathi Highlands and talk to the trauma surgeon.he will have a quest for u to heal some guys make sure u heal the Critically Injured first! then he will allow u to train to 240. make some Bandages Then when you hit 240 talk to him again and he will teach you how to make Heavy Mageweave Bandages!

For the Alliance you have to be level 35+ and have your First Aid skill at 225. When you have those, go to Theramore Isle, located in Dustwallow Marsh in Kalimdor. The easiest way to get there is probably to take the boat from Menethil Harbor, located in Wetlands in the Eastern Kingdoms. Once in Theramore, go into a stronghold-like building. It should say "Foothold Citadel" if you enter the right building. Once in the Citadel, look for a man named "Doctor Gustwaf VanHowzen (<Trauma Surgeon>". He is on the 1st floor located at 67.8, 49.0 - Cartographer Coordinates.

You can also usually find this in the AH for about 1g. That's much higher than you'd pay at the vendor, but then again, you'll save the time of running down there and back. If you have the money to spare, it's worth it.
