Compared to theirs is a good chunk less armor...

The next breastplate after this is just, well a plain chest, not good for actually wearing.

well being that its name is "ironforge" breastplate
it seems like it would only be attainable from ironforge.

Unlikely since a non-blacksmith can't even get the quest from the starting mob.

Could it be possible to make an Alt Alliance Blacksmith, get to this level Blacksmithing, do the quest, get the plan, then sell it on the Gadgetzan AH to a Horde BS Main?

You need 65 in blacksmithing to receive quest.

I don't think it's possible to have an Alliance character and Horde character on the same server. I also don't think it's possible to trade between servers, or sell, but if it is, I'd like to know how. :)

It is possible to have a Horde and Alliance Character on the same server, as long as it is not a PVP server.

and also, if u r on a pvp server and u r horde, and u REALLY want this, then create another account and just make an alliance on the server and do the process

this is an alliance only blacksmithing quest obtained in Ironforge

To get this quest, must be lvl 5 and blacksmith skill 60. I finished with dranei shaman on 6lvl, atention in Redridge!

I have found this on the southern tip of the lake in the Loch. I think it was a bore that dropped it, or a spider. Pretty sure it was a bore though, it's been awhile. I can CONFIRM that this DOES drop, but I've only seen ONE ever drop for me.

just made ironforge breastplate and i gotta say that its really awsome=) good stats and armor for a twink item so it'll probably last me till lvl twenty.

i forgot to mention that ive been reading the above comments and a lot of people want to know how to get these plans if there on the horde. here's how: so long as your not on a PVP realm you can simply make an allience chracter get mining and blacksmithing, raise your lvl high enouph to get the quest(which only takes about an hour), do the quest and get the plans. once youve done that simply put them in a nuetruel AH and get a horde freind to buy them for you and mail them to your horde main.

I want this recipe so i can make it for my alt. Can some1put this in a neutral AH on Darrowmere, (or however its spelled) If u cant put the recipe in, than the armor would be nice, but id prefer the recipe.

I don't see what is so great about this. The runed breastplate adds as much stamina and more strength.

This is a compiled list of all of the cross-faction recipes in the game.

Most (not all) Cooking recipes on the Alliance side are sold by Kendor Kabonka. The Horde do not have a corresponding NPC, so if you are an Alliance character wanting to create an alt on the opposite side to obtain the recipes for your main, unfortunately you'll have to have a level appropriate character to do the quests to obtain some of these recipes.

All of the recipes except one (Plans: Orcish War Leggings) can be traded cross-faction on the neutral AH.

I was debating whether to keep or sell this recipe. Here were my influencing factors:

Keep and craft:

Item created is level 15 instead of comparable items in the set which are 34
Low crafting cost (due to low-level mats)
Two other items with same aesthetic

Sell on Neutral AH:

Lots of gold from a knowledgeable buyer

Use on Horde side:

Unique look
Good markup
