Only horde can make this bags. You get quest in Thunder Bluff to bring some of this leather to leatherowrking trainer and then he gives you plans to make it.

where can i train for the kodo kide bag? i don't believe i have it, and my leatherworking level is at level 75-ish. i've been going to mostly orgrimmar, do i need to check around for other places? thunder bluff's journeyman leatherworker doesn't have anything else for me to train in. can someone help me out? if you need to IM me, my aim name is lunacyphfringe or my name online is caldroff, in the windrunner realm, because i won't remember that i posted this thing by the end of the day. thanks a lot.

The trainer(or rather, quest giver that teaches you this) is over in Thunder Bluff. Just ask for the leatherworking trainers, and they'll point you in the right direction.

Where can an alliance player get the pattern for this bag, it would be nice for a Leatherworker to make a #-slot bag for a change ^_^

I can't believe this is the only bag that leatherworkers (and only Horde leatherworkers, wtf?) can make. Ever hear of Prada? Coach? Louie Vuitton? What's the common element here? Leather. Boom.

I think why only horde can get it is cuz Thunder bluff has a thing with kodos so u can get the quest a thunder bluff that is why alliance can get them

Considering it's an item given after a quest for leatherworkers, it seems unlikely it'd ever end up in, say, the neutral AH. They'll all learn it instead of selling it. Just my thought on it.

I kinda wish leatherworkers could make more bags. I got some of the thin kodo leather today and I had no idea what it was used for. I never got the bag and my leatherworking is like 215 now.

They give tailors bags and leatherworkers ammo pouches. You can make good money from heavy + pouches. :)

This is here because no Tauren players need tailoring. Ever notice that Tauren dont have any classes that have to wear cloth? Hence they need something in leatherworking that allows them to make bags which they couldn't make otherwise.

It's like this:

- Pattern is gained from a tauren in the Leatherworking / Tailoring tent in Thunderbluff

- The pattern is not bought.

- The pattern is gained from a quest, bring 4 light leathers + 2 Coarse thread to the Tauren in the tent.

- Alliances could get their hands on this pattern by letting a horde player get his pattern and then put it on the AH in Gadg.Tanaris. and then the alliance buy this.

- Thin kodo leather is gained from kodos

- Kodos can be found in mulgore and Barrens.(can be hard for alliances to get there, also a reason why only hordes get).

The coarse thread needed is bought from a vendor in same tent, or any "Tailoring and Leatherworking supplier" and Light leather is gaiend from skinning beasts or from gathering 3 ruined leather scraps ( also from skinning, but they drop for skinners with low skin level ) and leatherworkers can create 1 Lightleather of 3 Ruined leather scraps.

Kodos aren't very easy to find, and the bag is only 6 slot, I would rather just go tailoring and make several bags easily than making these, took me about 15 mins to get the Thin kodo leathers, killed "the Rake" 2 times in that 15 mins, was hunting kodos but saw him, so I killed him.

The bag at 6 slots is kind of pointless, especially because kodo leather is not a common drop. you have to kill quite a lot of kodos (at least in my experience) to ever get some. I've killed and skinned a lot of kodos in my time and I think I"ve only seen kodo leather drop once. I once made one kodo bag just because, but I was already using 8-slot bags, so whatever.

Its a quest item guys, Alliance prolly couldnt buy it any way. So stop complaining about it and just go look for the pre-bags on the neutral AH simple.

Hey folks, I'm mainly alliance (NE, multiple humans ect) but I also have 3 Tauren alts. Since the Kodo Hide Bag is a quest reward (I did the quest on my hunter Tauren) the Pattern is SOULBOUND and cannot be sold to any alliance player. You can buy them on the neutral auction houses if you see one posted (which I've never seen) but it is possible.

First of all,you can get it on alliance,just do the quest on horde,get to a nuetral AH and put it on,for whatever money u want,then get on a different account then go to another nuetral AH and buy it out on an alliance character,and you have it,simple.i have done this on Azjol-Nerub server.

If you'r an alli. then i dont know where to get the training but go to the barrens to get the kodo leather. Thats all i know!:-)....im a tauren hunter! So dont know bout alli. BUt know where to get the leather to make it.

You think this is proof that Blizzard favors Horde? That's idiotic. Then what do you think of the fact that as a Night Elf, I can go get the pattern for Herbalist's Gloves from an Alliance-only vendor in Ashenvale (who won't sell to Horde) and the only way any Horde leatherworker will EVER learn it is if I or another Alliance player CHOOSE to put it on the neutral AH? An Herbalist getting (or not getting) a +5 to Herbalism gives a much better edge than being able to produce yet another 6-slot bag.

Blizzard doesn't "favor" either side. There are little quirks that benefit each faction, race, class, etc., but Blizzard bend over BACKWARDS to keep the game in overall balance on every level - questing, levelling, PvP, etc.

This is not the only recipe (pattern, w/e) that is horde-only... I know of at least one other and that is the alchemy recipe for discolored healing potions. Yes, allies, this sucks for you. If you are a recipe collector like I am, then it is very difficult to truly have 'all' that you can make in your profession. However, allies have the only access to the herby gloves (which were just posted about). Yes, hordies, this sucks for you.

I have toons on both sides (call me a traitor if you must =)) Bliz has done a good job of keeping things balanced and fairly resembling 'real-life' (in that yes, there are perks and downers about EVERYTHING)

Just suck it up and deal with it. Bliz made it this way a very long time ago, and if they haven't changed it yet, what could possibly make you think that whining about it is going to do any good? There are ways around it...yes, they are a pain, but there are still those loopholes. Either jump through the hoops or don't, your choice, but stop crying!

I really wish this wasn't the only bag leatherworkers can make(excepting special bags).There are many leather bags that drop in the game,why couldn't they have patterns drop too?I'd much rather have leather bags that I or someone else made than the silk/netherweave/runecloth bags.

By the time you get leatherworking 40, I doubt you'll really care much about the pattern. By the time you can take the Kodo's who to get the kodo leather, you'll care even less.
