Dizzy's Eye drop from all Bloodsail's, it has a very low drop rate (around 1%) though and will probably take long. The Bloodsail's are mostly south of Booty Bay. Go right when you exit Booty Bay from the tunnel, and you'll reach the beach soon.

this quest is great when coupled with "up to snuff"

they both have horrible drop rates and they both drop off the same mobs, and you're more likely to get this before you finish "up to snuff"

looks like the drop rate is quite random, I did snuff already, that had quite a nice drop rate, but since then I have killed about 50-60 mobs and haven't got the eye yet.

Went straight to Brutus, killed him and the eye dropped. Seems maybe they've changed the drop rate.

Went towards beach and first Bloodsail Mage I killed dropped the eye... Not as bad as it seems DRate 1-1 (100%) Good Luck!

Dropped in about 10 kills. Good grinding, easy kills, drops cloth. I did Snufff, Dizzy's One Eye, and The Bloodsail Buccaneers at the same time.

Don't be fooled by the 10% on Brutus. It's at least 90% for him. Don't waste your time, like me, killing literally hundreds of bloodsails before trying Brutus. Go straight to him. I used all my cooldowns, just because I could, but I definitely didn't need to.

I should be one of the luckiest ones to do this quest, as it dropped from my first kill (a L41 Bloodsail Mage) after I got the quest. I wasn't even planning to do it at that time, in fact I wasn't even planning to do any quest. I was just trying to earn about 1000 exp to level up. Damn.

here's an idea. try the camp to the west of BB. i was grinding forever on the beach to get it, and got nothing for hours. then i came over here and got it in 5 kills.

Confirmed drop west of BB. I found the eye on a bloodail raider in the same area of the first Bloodsail quest.

Killed tons of Bloodsail Mages and Rogues. The 1st Bloodsail Sea Dogs at 30,89 got it.

0.1% droprate means 1 per 1000 kills.

I've killed more than 200 of these guys and still dont have this stupidass eye.

If I could, I'd cut Dizzy's other eye out and shove it up his ass.

I think the problem lies in where u grind these guys, there is a camp just north of prtty boy Duncan on the west side, Thats where u need to grind. Not on the captains side. You should get the drop between 5-20 kills, took me about 10 last time i did it.

well, i helped several people on this quest and the best bet is to actually get on one of the ships and start hacking away. I ve seen the eye drop the most times on the ship farthest to the right

North and a little east of booty bay (coords: 26,69) there is a small pirate camp, and a pirate named "pretty-boy duncan". Kill him, he almost always drops the eye on the first kill.

I've killed him with 2 of my characters so far for this quest and he's dropped the eye on the first kill both times.

after looking up who drops the eye and reading some of the posts, i went out and killed a raider right outside BB and he dropped the eye.

Okay, it just took me 63 kills to get the drop. I would've abandoned quest if the loot wasn't good Rogue gear. So I'm a little aggrivated...and I'm taking it out on you. Yes you, idiot, who insist "TEH DROP RATE IS GRATE!11!" No...it's not, you got lucky. Check the numbers...it's a 1% drop not 100%. Your experience does not define the world around you so think before you ignorantly spam the thread.

Just completed the quest
There were 4 mobs: 2 locks + sucub + imp
First lock attacks my void, second lock gose in to fear, sucub banishes, imp dies first.
As the result i managed to kill all of them + took item.

How can u get the eye in the first kill? I`ve already killed 100+ bloodsails and they didn`t drop. I think I`ll let the guy without an eye lol

Got in my third kill. I guess this makes up for the time I wasted trying to get the bloody robes of Arcana ('lock quest).

This Isn't that hard do it when ur about 40-44 good xp so anyways, before you go out near the water kill all the mages you cna see near the entrace of booty bay they should drop good i got to the right of the entrance of booty bay mages drop good

The drop rate is not high but it seems that the Mage ones drop it with abit more chance.
for 3 of my chars I got it from those Mage mobs.

killed heaps of the bloodsail guys while questing for snuff and 'the bloodsail buccaneers' qsts and it still didnt drop. I ground up half of level 42 on them before the eye dropped. good for xp but very frustrating waiting for the drop.

I've done this quest twice. The first time it dropped after only 5 or 6 pirates. This time I quit counting at 49. I prob killed 60-70 before I got it from a raider.

i killed them to the east of BB for about 30 minutes, didn't have any luck. Read here and saw people had good luck with the mages, went east of BB and the first bloodsail mage i killed dropped the eye! Good luck

I couldn't find this anywhere, then I came here and read everything, went back in-game and got it my first kill. So based on that the drop rate should be 100% after reading this page. Thanks Thottbot!

I had clear'd the coast a few time, went into the docked ships, and had given up.
and on my way back to BB found it on a mage.
That's random for ya!

drop rate on allahkazam counts every single kills on that mob, not the ones for the people who have the quest only so it counts the total number of this mob killed / the number of people who had the quest

I think it depends how lucky you are.

I was able to get the eye off of the sixth kill. I obtained it from a Bloodsail Mage.

started this quest and the quest to collect snuff, i already have all the snuff but haven't seen the eye yet.

Snuff and Swashbucklers done. 200+ kills later.... nothing. I've killed "Pretty Boy" at least 10 times! Have a lot of rum though.

Edit: Got it working on the last Bloodsail quest. First guy I killed on the first boat dropped it. I ran off to turn it in.

Ok, the reason it looks like the drop rate is so low is that this item only drops if you have the quest. So everytime someone kills these guys without the quest it drives the "drop rate" down.

i killed a totall of 135 bloodsails, no eye. dropped the quest and picked it bakc up, got the eye on the next kill.

This took a really long time to drop - I finished killing swashbucklers & gathering snuff and still no eye. I went all the way around the cape and finally it dropped from a Mage at 33,73

I could not get the eye to drop from any mobs on land. I went to the ships and it dropped from the first Elder Magus I killed.

I killed dozens of Bloodsails on TBC Classic and nothing. Then went to Brutus and it dropped.
